It's the morning of July 3rd and our business toilet has flooded overnight. I phoned Winkle's Plumbing and they said they would get out to our office today. John, the Technician called to say he would be with us around 1:00pm. He came, had to go get a part (not his fault, our toilet is unusual and has different workings in the tank than most normal toilets) he came back, fixed everything and then even fixed another toilet that was giving us problems. John was super friendly, helpful and professional. What more can you ask for?? I highly recommend Winkle's Plumbing.

Owner is AMAZING and every service person has been kind, helpful, and thorough. I've had several services from installing a tankless water heater, septic tank pump, disconnection and reconnect for kitchen remodel etc. Very good communication of arrival time and not having to sit and wait all day for someone to come. Very pleased. Only plumber we use now.

WARNING!! DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. THEY ARE TOTALLY UNRELIABLE AND IRRESPONSIBLE.
I had an appointment with them, which they failed to keep. I received no notice from them that would not be showing up at my house at the appointment time. No phone call, no email, no text, no nothing. Just a nice friendly unresponsive FU. When I contacted them, office staff knew nothing of where their plumber was. Turns out there was an emergency job they had to do. Understand, in plumber speak, an 'emergency' means that a better paying job came along and my job just wasn't important enough. Take your business elsewhere. Give your money for your necessary repair work to another firm that actually gives a damn about you as a customer.
Stay away from this company!

Brandon and Jon came out within an hour of my phone call and fixed the issue quickly and economically. I am selling my house and they handled the issue better for me than I could have imagined. Saved me stress and money!

I called them for a basic leaking toilet in my rental property. I live out of town. $265 later they finally replace the $20 kit. I would have driven up to do it myself for that price!

Unprofessional and unreliable.

First job was fine--completed a clogged disposal same day for a fair price. Second time, two men came out then rushed off after 5 minutes saying they knew *exactly* what the problem was--we needed a new valve for our water heater--they'd follow up and provide a quote once they got the part and they'd include a clogged tub drain, too. Several weeks and at least three phone calls later--no follow-up, no quote. I just got out of a cold shower in a clogged tub.

I called to request service for blockage in plumbing system. Only bath tub was backing up, all other pipes draining normally. When they call back the next day the first question the technician asks is if I've contacted my insurance company to cover the repairs. Huh? When I try to say I don't think this would be a covered item, he interrupts me to say well if it's something that could cause damage in the future they'll cover it. He is terribly misinformed and there are more complexities involved to determine an insurance claim than that. How does he even suppose that it'd be worth filling an insurance claim without even having been on site to check things out? But any how I write it off and tell him I'll check into it but that we're prepared to pay for the repairs out of pocket.

So he tells me he can be by in the afternoon and he shows up then. He won't come in the house to verify the problem or begin diagnosis there or even go in the crawlspace to check out my plumbing for a clean out under the house, but rather immediately walks over to my leach field area and tells me that's probably where my septic tank is. Nope, I show him where it is and then he walks back over to a lateral near the leach field, removes the cap and insists that since there is a little water in there that he must snake the field lines, that that's what's causing my bath tub to back up but can't guarantee that will fix the draining issue in the tub. I have since learned field lines cannot be snaked clear even if you do have a leach field blockage. When I ask a few more questions he gets flustered walks towards his van to leave and says well just call us when you want it fixed.

After me asking him to wait for me to get ahold of my husband and I couldn't reach him, I made the executive decision to have him go ahead and snake the leach field. Well the motor wouldn't start for him so he manually fed the line in to what he believed was a lateral clean out for leach field. 5 mins later he knocks on my door telling me my plumbing broke his snake. I looked at the snake, none of the coil was bent or broke, but he insisted on charging me an additional $50, for a grand total of $325.00. Another sign of scam: he didn't even attempt to see if the small amount of snaking cleared the clog. This man never came in the house not to diagnose problem or see if it was fixed. My bath tub backed up again that night when I used the kitchen sink. Toilet, washer, and bathroom sink still flowing just fine.

From beginning of visit to end of visit he was at my house a total of 31 minutes. Only after getting a check from me did he then say, ""well I'll check under the house now"". Comes back about a minute later (that's no exaggeration) and says, ""oh yeah you need all new plumbing."" Writes on invoice the $325.00 would be credited to the repipe job.

I asked how I would get the quote for whole repipe, he said he'd write it up when he got back to the office and text a picture of the quote to me. Well I never received a quote and filed a complaint with BBB they respond by diffusing saying I wouldn't let the technician in my house which is a lie and even if it weren't why wouldn't they say sorry I can't help you then? Left me feeling like they only want high paying jobs. At no time have they attempted to make it right or provide me with a quote for this repipe they claim I need. I got my drain unclogged myself due to lime scale build up. We really need a new whole house filtration system.

This company has questionable business practices and the technician they sent out was rude, unprofessional, and not knowledgeable or well-trained. Such a rip off and scam. I hope my experience will save someone else the trouble.

Winkle's is a very responsive, quality oriented company that cleared a very complex drain situation in my home. The assigned plumber evaluated the situation, used the most expedient and cost effective solution and was on his way to the next job in very short order. Courteous and neat in his work. This is our second experience with Winkle in 3 years ( Kevin helped us back then) and we enjoyed the same consistent level of service (John was here today). We'll use them again when needed.

I am a Choice Home warranty customer who contracted Winkle's plumbing. They were scheduled to come out between 07:00-11:00. I had called them the Friday before they were to come and the receptionist stated that they were all set to come out the next Friday. I waited all morning and at 12:00 o'clock called to see if they were behind. The receptionist was rude. Stated she did not have my file and no one was coming. She stated she would call Choice Home Warranty and call me back. I waited for another hour and a half and finally called the Home warranty company myself. The receptionist called Winkle's while I was on the other line and came back and stated that they did not want to work with Choice home warranty and would not be coming out. This is very unprofessional behaviour. Not to mention wasting my precious time. I would not recommend this company!!!!
