I would like to thank Windy City Plumbing for always providing wonderful service. Over the past few years, I have relied on Jose and his team for his services from fixing sinks to installing new equipment (washer/dryer) to upgrading. Just yesterday, they put in a new bathroom sink.

What I like about them is that they are efficient, polite, knowledgeable, timely, affordable, focused and respectful. Jose gives us great advice on the best way to go about fixing something. He listens to our desires and offers the best solutions. For example, he helped suggest the kind of sink that would work best in our (funny) bathroom and his team helped us decide it's position (that would be best for our new sink). They took out our old sink and disposed of it without leaving a trace in our place or in our condo building.
Olivia, the receptionist, was the nicest person to set an appointment with. She was so friendly! I've always been able to get an appointment within my timeframe or when there is an emergency.

I would absolutely recommend Windy City Plumbing to anyone I know. I am so happy that I found Jose and his team; it certainly makes owning a condo that much easier. I look forward to someday fixing the rest of my bathroom . . . with Windy City Plumbing on my team.

For several different projects Jose and his crew have been responsive, effective, and reasonably priced. The biggest job they did for me was to replace the water main line. Puddles were appearing on my dirt basement floor and I started digging, slowing realizing the flow was increasing the deeper I went- the pool was getting bigger and bigger. Kind of terrifying. Jose arrived soon and suggested running the line along the basement ceiling instead of 3 feet under ground the length of the building as it had been. Getting at it and reconnecting took a lot of digging and finesse. Jose was there through it all directing his guys. It was a huge relief finally to have it taken care of. They definitely earned my trust.

Provided a competitive estimate, and were responsive and professional, and did a good job replacing our aging and leaking gas pipes. I had trouble figuring out how to switch on a valve on the dryer after they left, they came around free of charge the next day to show me how to turn it on.

I usually don't leave reviews on yelp as much as I'd like to however, after such an incredible job, I feel it's the least I can do for this company.

I recently called on Windy City plumbing to service my clogged tub drain. Now, first off I can't tell you how hard it is to find a quality professional plumbing company to service your home for a good price nowadays. I've been ripped off with poor service and being overcharged one to many times with companies who seem to take advantage of people with lesser knowledge of the plumbing construction.

Jose takes the time to essentially educate you on how things work as he diagnoses the problem and clearly explains what needs to be done to fix it, without trying to get you to redo your whole bathroom.

His prices are fair but cheaper than any other company I have called in my 3yrs of owning a home.

Jose was not immediately available to take my call, however I was able to leave a message with his assistant and received a call back promptly.

And just like when it rains it pours, I also had a leaking toilet that I didn't know was causing damage to the tenants ceiling downstairs :( . Jose knew just what the problem was and was prepared and equipped with the items necessary to tackle the job within the SAME HOUR it was noticed! Saved me money on a future call and time!

I couldn't have been happier with the service provided by Windy City plumbing and I HIGHLY recommend them! They have the greatest service with the most bang for your buck and also the only company I feel comfortable with as far as plumbing!

We have used Jose and his guys multiple times. Each time, the service was prompt and reasonably priced. We will gladly call Jose the next time we have any plumbing issues.

On Thursday I came home to a huge back up in my bathroom and utility room. I called Windy City just knowing I would get a quick response. They have 24/7 service. Got a phone call back within 15 minutes. Jose said that Olivia would call me first thing in the morning. Next morning Olivia called right smack at 8am. An appointment was set for one. Trusting that time, I got someone out to stay at the house since I had work appointments that day. Chris showed up with partner before 1 pm. My house is on slab, no basement. These guys new exactly where to find the interior and exterior drum traps immediately. They started at the sewer first to break the clog and moved into the house. It was a huge clog and these guys made no further complications. Machinery was state of the art and professionalism was A+! I had bleached and scoured the bathroom the night before and Chris left a cleaner bathroom after removing toilet and ridding the disgusting ooze out the tub. On top of this these guys traveled all the way to Highland Park from Berwyn. I referred these guys to another home owner and they were very happy too. I recommend Windy City. Price is very reasonable and honest work!!!!

Heads up! If you have a gas leak, DO NOT go with Windy City Plumbing. They're not experienced whatsoever in gas leaks. After paying them close to $1,000, they did not even come close to resolving my issue. Jose was not reasonable, and would not adjust the price. They charge $100 an hour for an inexperienced staff. I left him a message, and he didn't return my phone call. I instead received a text message asking me to call the office. After having Peoples Gas come out again, I sadly learned that for the price I paid them I should have a resolution to my problem. As a result of this really bad experience, I felt compelled to forewarn anyone who was desperate like me and on the fence about hiring them. This is my way of paying it forward. Ask questions before you hire them. Ask them about certifications. Ask about their equipment. Check out their equipment. In my case, the pressure they were applying to test the pipes was bursting holes everywhere and would have never resolved my problem. Their solution -- tear down walls throughout my entire building and replace most of my pipes throughout 4 floors. Does that sound reasonable to you? If it doesn't, then my recommendation is to do your due diligence. If you do, you'll never hire them and will save yourself some money.

Windy City Plumbing. Owner Jose is upfront and honest and will do what he says. His workers are always courteous, polite and clean. Their prices are fair. They installed flood control for me a few years ago and have used them for routine maintenance. Top notch company.

It took a few calls before anyone even showed up to look at the plumbing situation at my parent's home.
They arrived and didn't really give a quote and it was going to be a bigger job than they thought so we would have to schedule another day.

It was difficult to get a hold of Jose and he apologized once, but after that, he never returned our calls.

I then saw that they have many 1 star reviews, so I don't know why Yelp gives them 5 stars.

Windy City Plumbing went above and beyond to fix another plumber's major mistake. The owner and his employees communicated every step of the way, were extremely courteous and were easy to work with. Being such a large project, the owner broke down each step and checked in with me daily to ensure that I was satisfied with how the work was progressing.

Windy City Plumbing's pricing is fair and accurate. Prior to calling Windy City Plumbing, I found out the hard way that plumbing pricing estimates can vary widely. The quality of the work speaks for itself and is well worth every penny. They are the only plumbing company I will ever call as long as I am living in the area.
