Don't ever use them. Supposed to be here for a main drain at 4:00 PM on Friday and did not show up until 7:45. Told me at 8:15 PM that he needed a special snake and would be back on Saturday around 12:00 PM. At 1:30 I still hadn't even gotten a phone call, at 4:05 PM they told me they could not come, only after I called them. They said I was the first appointment on Sunday between 10, and 11. After two calls, at 1:45 I still have no response. Mind You, this was to fix a drain that wasn't fixed correctly three weeks prior. So unless your looking for the worst service possible. Call my grandmother, she can do it faster.

Recently I woke up to a leaking hot water heater and It was clear the unit needed to be replaced. I called Windheim Plumbing and spoke with Tommy who was able to quote me a price over the phone and had a guy out to my house in less than 30 minutes. Tyler, the installer, couldn't have been more helpful. He was able to drain the old unit with zero mess, which wasn't an easy task being it was 14 years old and corroded. He was more than happy to answer my questions throughout the install process and took the time to show me how to operate the new unit once it was installed. What could have been a disaster turned into a minor inconvenience and I was back with hot water before lunch. Service like this will keep me returning to Windheim for any future plumbing and heating issues.

They took advantage of my elderly father in Nutley. Charged $316 to replace a flush valve on a toilet. This is a 15 minute job with part cost of less than $25. And the next day the toilet runs intermittently!!!!!!

I found Windheim Plumbing after frantically calling around trying to find someone to come out to fix my leaky shower the same day. They were very friendly on the phone and assured me that they would be able to come out to look at the shower that day. The plumbers (Marco and Phil) arrived at the time that I was given, and were very friendly and courteous. They took obvious care and there was clear pride in their work. I was given upfront pricing for everything and the repair was done quickly and efficiently. I really liked that I had the option to pay by cash, check or credit card as well. They saved me from having no shower for a weekend that we are having house guests and I am so grateful. I would definitely use them again.

$79 to come give you a quote. Contractors do not charge for quotes and if you believe otherwise, you are a fool and sucker for using them. It is standard practice to get 3 bids before hiring a contractor. They are basically counting on you not to do that so there are essentially targetting the uneducated/uninformed customer. I've also used this place for emergency calls and they were obnoxiously expensive. By far the most expensive plumbers I've ever worked with.

Avoid this plumbing company !! They totally rip you off!! They have a new system whereby there is a flat fee for services. I had a leaky toilet and it cost $293 for the repair. The plumber took about five or 10 minutes to fix and replace two minor plastic parts. When I asked why the repair was so costly, I was told that is the price according to the ""book"". I have used Windheim in the past and they were quite reasonable and fair. I will never use them again and neither should you unless you ask what the ""book "" fee is before you schedule an appointment.

Very competent and professional plumbers. Their quote wasn't the lowest, but they did top notch work that I'd happily pay a bit more for, their followup and punctuality was perfect, and they didn't give me a hard time when I asked to have a permit pulled, as a couple of other plumbers did.

Contrary to the experience of one of the other reviewers, the estimate on my job was free - perhaps because it wasn't a service call, but was an installation of new equipment.

It was very bad customer service. I called them in early morning for the problem of the heater. Our garage door was opened. Workers of the company without anyone's permission started investigating the heater. My wife came downstairs due to the noise in the garage. The asking price was 25% more estimated. My wife asked them to call me to discuss the technical problems as well as the price. The owner stated that he called, but he never did. I called them immediately after they left without any notification. The owner told that he can provide service the following day. Please stay away from this company, very rude and unprofessional.

These guys are great! Fast and friendly service. Let's face it,...nobody wants to have to call up service people but if you must you want them to show up, do a thorough job, & give you a fair price. These guys did just that plus they stand behind there work. Two thumbs up!
