Robert Q.Wind River serviced by septic today. The tech upsold me on a 'combo pack' of chemicals for $209. I commented that it seemed high for septic chemicals but he assured me it was a good deal. After he left, I looked online and it was about $75 of chemicals. I called up to complain and the company escalated it internally and responded by refunding $100. It was fine result in the end, but left me wondering how many other customers dramatically overpaid and did not complain? So word-to-the-wise, don't get upsold on the chemicals. Refuse the offer and go buy it elsewhere at different online retailer or Home Dept or whatever.
Susan P.In April 2018 I made an appt for septic pumping on June 25 2018 at my home. I received a call on June 22, saying my appt would have to be moved to the end of August due to what reason I don't know. Never again would I use them.
Lauren W.On the Outer Cape in the winter, when the tourists are gone, it is amazing to call any service or repair company and get an actual human picking up and ready to do work for you.
After calling about six ""companies,"" and getting home answering machines, or no answers at all, I was surprised that Wind River picked up right away AND were willing and able to come out and do the job on the same day.
A nice man showed up with a big tank truck and went right to work (we had already uncovered the tank manhole, so I'm not sure what happens when the guy has to try to find and dig out the access to the tank, but their website says the can do it somehow).
The tank was packed with muck, but he methodically worked it all loose and sucked it up. Took a little over an hour.
They gave an estimate first thing on the phone, and it was that much. It was reasonable for what he did. Receipt comes via email.
He up-sold me on products to keep the tank healthy but didn't push. I chose to get the tank bacteria they add to the tank before it is closed up, but passed on the monthly products because I figured I could get the same thing on Amazon or Ebay.
All and all a great experience, considering it revolved around poop.
Recently had the septic pumped again by Wind River. They were very professional from the first call through the service visit. I use them each time and have had great service each time.
Ivan A.Due to a builder's error, our brand new house's septic tank overflowed after only 11 months of use. On Sunday, of course! We called Wind River who responded quickly and courteously. They pumped our tank and gave us the info we need to ensure the builder makes the needed repairs at their expense. So far, so good!
And then my wife noticed that the rep looked familiar. He had been in our subdivision a few weeks prior at another house while she was walking our little dog Dude. The guy came over and asked if he could pet the Dude, and they had a fun minute together. Love me, love my dog, as my wife would says!
We have had Wind River service our septic for almost 10 years and it has always been a seamless transaction - they are in and out quickly, and the techs are always helpful and polite.
Professional, efficient, and reasonably priced. We've used Wind River for all of our septic needs for the past 10 years and highly recommend them. They are experts in their field and provide honest, reliable service and advice.
