Buyer Beware! This is the absolute worst customer service and company I've dealt with since COVID. They rescheduled me THREE TIMES over the period of 2 weeks for a Septic Pumpout. Each time they simply rescheduled me, without any explanation. Every phone call is routed through a call center with no access to local branches or managers. I was told they have no one available when calling after each missed appointment, until finally someone told me I could pay extra for an ""emergency call"" - even after the third reschedule. Don't waste your time or money.

Ripped us off by insisting on a $500 pump out before checking the distribution box which was overflowing. The tech insisted we would be notified the same day when the next step would be addressed. No one called and several calls and emails from me were ignored. Pump out would not have been done. It was not due for one, but now we are out $500 and the real issue was not even addressed. I'm done with Wind River after a decade of satisfaction with their services. I was treated very poorly this time.

I needed some technical information on my septic system in connection with my sellers disclosure. I spoke with Joshua W who was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in helping me with the detailed questions. He offered to assist if there was any follow up needed

If I could leave a negative star I would!
The company I called was Kaiser Batistone/Wind River Environmental Septic Cleaning. I was on their schedule for emergency septic tank cleaning on Monday.
**Paying an additional emergency charge of $100.00, totaling over $700.00 for septic cleaning!
The sinks in the house were overflowing there was a situation!
On Monday they never made it down our driveway!
After a call to the company, they assured me they would be at the house on Tuesday, but yes the $100 Emergency Fee would remain. Guess What?
I called Wind River Environmental at 5:00 pm Tuesday evening after a NO SHOW!
THEIR RESPONSE WAS I'M SO SORRY THEY CANCELLED YOUR APPOINTMENT FOR TODAY!
I called ALDEXTER SEPTIC CLEANING Alex was at the house the following day with no issues and cleaned the tank for half the price.
What does that tell you.....

Wind river serviced my septic tank last week and did an amazing job they were super respectful to my lawn and my time. They call twenty minutes before arrival and emailed me a detailed report with pictures. I will definitely use them next year due to their professionalism and quick turn around.

The office/scheduling person I talked to wouldn't give me any sort of timeframe (""sometime between 9am and 5pm""). Seriously? We did agree on a price to pump the tank, and a $150/hour ""digging fee"" since it was winter. Never heard of that before, but I agreed since past septic people were able to service the tank with very little digging.

The technician arrived the next day around noon (only a single tech - all other septic companies I've dealt with have sent two people). I showed the tech a survey that showed the approximate location of the tank (within 2-3 feet), but he seemed distracted and agitated and didn't really look at it. He then made a few half-hearted pokes in the ground to try and find the tank. He gave up after less than 5 minutes and claimed that my system ""wasn't up to code"" and was buried too deep, which is COMPLETELY untrue. Even though I had a $150/hour digging agreement from the initial scheduling, the tech refused to dig AT ALL, and tried to get me to schedule some heavy equipment to dig stuff up (have never needed this before). At this point, he left without pumping the tank. A complete waste of my time.

I subsequently called Mike's Septic in Norwalk, and they DID provide a time window (sometime in the morning), located the tank in a few minutes, did not charge any ""digging fee"" (it was only a few inches under the ground), were $50 cheaper for the pumping, and did a quick snake of the line between the house and the tank at no extra charge.
