I've used Wimberley Plumbing for the past ten years, and have never been disappointed. They're responsive (typically the same day), and have always diagnosed the problem and were able to fix it!

To set the stage: we had a surprise slab leak on a Friday morning. Called 6 plumbers who were all booked out for weeks if not months. Wimberley plumbing was similarly busy, but they figured out a way to get someone out that same day! Chris was thorough, honest, and laid out all the options. In the end he was able to take a little extra time on our repair that caused more work for him, but would end up requiring less holes cut in our sheet rock to feed the new pipe through the attic. Which, would have cost us more to repair after the fact than the additional time it took him to do it right. He was able to get us water in the house that same day, and complete the entire project first thing the following week. Overall, I'm blown away by this type of service which is rare these days. Oh, and the fees were shockingly reasonable and fair! Do yourself a favor and look no further if you're needing an experienced group of plumbers to take care of you.

I had a strange leak on my floor in my house and called Wimberley plumbing to check it out. I was afraid a pipe in the slab had burst. Chris came out and diagnosed a leaky hot water heater that was allowing water to seep under the tile and carpet. He installed a new Rheem hot water heater, but right away I began experiencing spurting and spewing from the hot water faucets in that end of the house. I called Wimberley Plumbing and talked to J.D., who told me that it is a rare occurrence, but Rheem uses a magnesium diode rod and sometimes the magnesium they use is defective and any complaint or problem I have is between me and Rheem. I told J.D. I had bought a brand new hot water heater from him and why should I bear that expense. His response was that he shouldn't have to bear that expense, either. He said I could buy an aluminum diode rod and he would "work with me" and just charge me a half-hour labor charge to install it. I called Rheem and explained my problem to them. They said the water heater had a year's factory warranty and they could not believe the installing plumber would not honor that. To keep me from being left holding the bag Rheem sent a new anode rod to my house and arranged for another qualified plumber to come and install it--all at no cost to me. They also said since Wimberley Plumbing apparently would not honor the warranty that Rheem would bear that responsibility for the remainder of that year.

Very nice and helpful. Serve call charge 125 a but diff especially for a local outfit but service person was very considerate and helpful.

My previous review was not that great (see below), BUT lately I have found out that they are just super busy. They have been working with us on a bathroom remodel and other work items. JD and Chris are both busy BUT they are keeping in touch with us often to help us out (and figure out what we needed, what works best, etc...). At no time has JD or Chris (and his crew) done bad work! They always do top notch work! THEY ARE Fast and quick and KNOW what they are doing! Its very hard to find excellent workers / experienced plumbers!

Just like a previous review, the rates for current work has gone UP rather steeply! We had Chris out (like always) and he did great work but 400 dollars to install a water heater? seriously? we got the water heater to the house, he moved it in, connected the wires and water pipes in under an hour. It was a bit pricey. We have also called them a number of times (left messages) about more work that we need done and no call back. I guess they are super busy and dont need the work. Thats too bad because they have done great work for us in the past, but the price has gotten crazy high lately

JD lives in the modern world and can quickly be reached by text, which is amazing. Kitchen sink backed up and toilet repair needed. Immediately texted back someone would be at my house within an hour. One hour. UNHEARD OF. Plumber arrived in the time frame I was given. Problem quickly solved, money saved, reliable and honest. I felt like the price matched the work and was totally fair. Best experience I've had in Wimberley in the nine years I've been here.

After asking around we got a LOT of recommendations for Wimberley Plumbing. They were not wrong.

They came out and replaced our grinder last week very quickly. While that's not something I wish anyone to have to have done, if you do, call these guys. Great services, very fast. Thanks!

I have used JD on many occasions and have been very happy. I had a sewer stoppage in the same spot as before. The guy he sent out wasn't sure what he was doing, wouldn't listen to where I told his the stoppage was at and waisted over an hour just looking. When said and done he charged me $453.75 when the same job never cost more than &129.00.
On top of that he got grease all over the wall and outside of the tub. Instead of moving a small rug, he got grease on it and ruined it. When I made JD aware of this, he never replied, pretty sad. Sent him a bill for painting and a new rug and got a reply or phone call. If you use them, be cautious. He will treat you fairly and then, BOOM, screw you

Not sure of their plumbing skills but their customer service skills are TERRIBLE! Left a message 3 days ago inquiring about a plumbing job and never received a call back. Needless to say, we won't ever try to use them again. I'll take my business elsewhere!

We had a very bad experience with our first plumber and we were left with a huge job poorly done and unfinished. We contacted Wimberley Plumbing and Chris came by right away. After evaluating what needed to be done and listening to our requirements, he gave us a realistic quote on the spot. Within a day or two, Chris came by and did a fantastic job not only to finish what was left half done but also doing it right the first time. Doing a good job is so rare nowadays that finding a plumber who loves what they do and are willing to do it right is such a joy and blessing. We are so happy with Chris and JD for their help, patience and professionalism. We highly recommended Wimberley Plumbing and will use them again without hesitation. Thank you.
