3 families in the house on vacation and the a/c died. Never a good thing. Wilson showed up fast, on time, and did the job quickly and professionally! Very happy. also thanks to Clay at Fox Realty for setting it up.
Al M.We have used Wilson Plumbing & Heating fir over 25 years. Would never use anyone else.
Excellent experience. I have a 15 year old home and fireplace never worked. It works now!! Fast and efficient. Highly recommended
I felt the need to write this to warn people NOT to use Wilson Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning (aka C Leo Wilson Plumbing and Heating) of Ocean City, NJ. This warning is primarily for fireplace repair but after the rude response from the front desk woman and the refusal to back up their work, I would be hesitant to use them for anything. I have never written an online review before but after sharing this with others they convinced me I should review online, first, for the people out there that can't afford to hire another company to repair the work of the first company and second, for other vacation home owners that are tired of being taken advantage of by contractors. This account starts 1 year ago when the fireplace in our vacation home wouldn't light. I tried a company who specializes in fireplaces but they were booked for months. I then called around Ocean City NJ and found Wilson Plumbing whom said that they repair fireplaces. Ron from Wilson came to the house and said the pilot assembly had to be replaced but he had to order the part. He came back with the part in January 2019. We are rarely at the Ocean City house in the winter but the few times I was there after the ""repair"" I found that I had to flip the switch on for about 5 seconds, turn it off, then turn it back on for the fireplace to light. I have never owned a fireplace so I just assumed that was normal. I received a call from Wilson in the summer that the bill hadn't been paid and we came to the conclusion that Wilson had mailed the bill to the Ocean City address rather than our home address and I had never received nor realized I hadn't received the bill. I gave her my credit card number over the phone for the $592.69 bill ($360. for the pilot assembly and $208.84 for labor plus tax). I mentioned to the woman that the amount seemed high but also the fireplace still doesn't seem to be lighting correctly and explained what happens. In her very abrupt fashion, she said that is normal and to just keep the switch up until it lights. In the fall when cool weather hit, I was in Ocean City and thought I would try her advice. I kept the switch up, but unfortunately there was a big flame which scared me to death and the pilot went out and I couldn't light it again. This time I decided to call a professional. The new company I called came out and the first thing the man did was take a picture of the pilot assembly and send it to his boss because he said ""he had never seen that before""! The pilot assembly was installed BACKWARDS which explained why gas had to build up before it would light. This man from the second company correctly installed the pilot assembly and it is now working perfectly. I called Wilson Plumbing to let them know since this was a big deal not to mention I had to pay $264 to have Wilson's work corrected. The woman who answers the phone was very rude and said that it had been almost a year and they were not going to take any responsibility. I told her I had the picture the man had taken of the pilot assembly prior to repair so I sent it to her. I never heard back so I called about 10 days later. She just started flipping out saying that there is no way they did that and that Ron wouldn't have done that, and that her boss was denying it also. I was never given an opportunity to talk with anyone beyond the front desk woman (who admitted she is a Wilson). I unfortunately raised my voice during the conversation (which I never do) out of pure frustration over her response to a situation where Wilson is 100% to blame. She was rude, loud and unprofessional and that is how this was left. Ron knows what truly happened the day he replaced and ""repaired"" the pilot light assembly so he should confess, but regardless Wilson should back up their work and have a professional working the phones that has common courtesy.
I want to thank the wonderful lady who came to my moms rescue when she fell, walking her dog. She helped mom up & walked her home. I appreciate your kind help. I'm grateful
Install of our new air conditioning unit outside was not done subpar. They replaced the coil in the attic and 2 weeks later, we had water in the attic running down our wall in the bedroom. Very u professional customer service and no emergency service. Don't ever ever use this company.
I had a new home built and Wilson installed the HVAC. The AC lasted 1 season. Would not stand by his work. Charged me $640 to charge the system in June. It lasted for 3 weeks. I have been with out a working AC for 6 weeks. This company is terrible. 1 Star is too high!
Devon L.Responded very quickly to no hot water over the winter break. Had two men in on a Saturday and spent numerous hours trying to find the source of the issue. Overall was thorough and very helpful!
