I advised Willis Plumbing and Heating of a repair needed to sink faucet in a tenants apartment at my parents house. Unfortunately, I was not able to be there in person when the service rep visited the house. I anticipated a quote prior to performing the work and was surprised by the excessive costs of $622 for the minor repair to the faucet. Based on my understanding, the completed work is in good order. I called the owner the following day and immediately recognized his rude and arrogant behavior would not result in any changes to charges. He indicated the service rep has flat charges in his IPad and would revert back to me on Monday. In addition, he advised that I never specifically requested a quote. I received a follow up return call and would advise against using this establishment for any service repairs needed.

Classic business where they recommend tons of work that isn't needed. When they got to the part about CO2, and I told them I have two CO2 monitors within 6 feet of the boiler room that have never made a peep and they said ""it's a different kind of C02"", I couldn't kick them out of my house fast enough. I worked with a reputable company that doesn't charge the lowest price, they shook their head and laughed when I told them about the Williston ""Sales Pitch"" and everything they were recommending........Look somewhere else.

My biggest complaint is getting a price from them. My heat was not working properly on the first floor and on the really cold days when the temperature was in the single digits it was about 60 degrees. Upstairs got warm but it took a long time to raise the temperature. No estimate is provided not even a minimum amount to come. The plumber came and was at my house for about an hour. He wasn't sure what the problem was saying it could be the hydroshaft and still would not give me an estimate. He did blow any air out of the lines. He came back later with another plumber and again would not give me an estimate. The problem wound up being a connector and a wire to the hydroshaft so the parts were not expensive. He was at my house for about another 45 minutes. I again asked for an approximation to which he said he needed to go calculate. He comes back with a bill of $535 (I'm not including taxes). I was a bit shocked. Maybe this is a fair price but considering it was not a major problem, I was thinking it would be in the $300 range. When I questioned him, he gave me a snotty answer that he needed to include his time and if he had given me an estimate for replacing the hydroshaft it would have been over $1k so basically I should be happy. They did fix my problem so for that I am happy but will probably try someone else next time who will give you an estimate before starting the work understanding this can change based on what they find. Communication is the key.

First of all, I've never been told that this equipment do need to be maintained after 1 year.
My friends also using the efficiency equipment never had issues after 1 year without maintenance.
I did receive your advertisement mail regarding the discount and estimated annual cost for the maintenance, but it never says that my equipment needs to be maintained after 1 year.
I also digged into the contract signed by both of us, and didn't found anything that supports what your statement.
Sencondary, the technician from your company never told me the temperature issue was caused by lack of maintenance. He said it was caused by the wrong temperature settings on the boiler(should be 181F, but it was 170F).
I don't know how it passed the manufacturer testing(maybe at that time it was set correctly at 180F or maybe the word from the technician of your company is wrong, or maybe the setting jumped down by itself, etc...). But the fact(changing the temperature didn't resolve the issue) proved that the statement from the technician is wrong.
Then your company started complaining about the insulation of my home. I did asked the inspector to check the insulation, he said he didn't find any insulation issue and there is no insulation issue posted in the report.
I sent the report to your company, if you think this report is not good enough, you should have let me know to request a new report that you like, but you kept silent instead at that time.
The cause of the temperature issue is not lack of maintenance. The reason is that 2018 winter was much colder than the previous year. And part of the heat lost in the cold basement.
You know the final requirement (there will be only 1 heating zone on the 1st floor, no heating in the basement) before starting the job, so you should have been aware the basement will take away part of the heat and you should have picked a more powerful boiler.
As an experienced/professional company, All of these factors should have been considered in the beginning of the job.

I made a mistake that I didn't open yelp to check the reviews from other peoples before making the decision to start the job.

These guys have been our emergency plumbers for years and they do our backflow tests. Efficient, reliable and professional. I can always get an appointment quickly, esp when we have a problem. I like their follow up. After going through a lot of plumbers, they've become the first place we call because they're so reliable.

Pro: Nice work, professional and well done
Con: They hit us very HARD over the head on price.

I had a leaking hose from a single mount Delta kitchen faucet. The technicians arrived and advised they recommend changing the faucet as well. Fair enough, I somewhat expected my faucet was nearing the end of its life. I am thinking ok, approximately a $300-$500 repair. High, but what can I do, it's leaking and I need it fixed. Ok, go ahead. My wife wanted Chrome but they had to order it, so my wife went with brush nickel, in stock. He said it was only $40-$50 more. My wife went online and saw the faucet at reputable outlets such as Lowes, Home Depot and Amazon for approximately $233. (Ironically, my wife was told don't go by that, they mark it way up!) They return and finalize the bill at $818.12! This included a 10% first time customer discount! Faucet was $561.12 and labor was $257 for 20 minutes work and the travel time to the plumbing shop. (I understand they might have a minimum such as an hour but $257?). Amazon offers the faucet at $233 and installation for $136 so a total bill thru Amazon would have been $369. (sort of what I was expecting)

When I called questioning the bill, the office manager told me ""once you go brush nickel, it adds $200 to the faucet"". Back to the internet and I could find absolutely nothing supporting that statement. My faucet, right off the box, is a Moen 7594RS Arbor Spot Resist Stainless (not even sure that is brush nickel) listed at Amazon, Lowes and Home Depot for $233. A 140% markup! WOW. ( and if Amazon, Lowes and Home Depot have it listed at $233 you know they paid likely 30% less so the markup is even more!)

We paid the bill and learned a lesson. Shop around, get quotes,do your research and question everything. I usually research everything but was rushed because of the leak. Stop, take a breathe and make sure you are being charged a fair price not a 140% markup!

I could never in good conscience recommend this company and I certainly will never call them again.

I would never recommend this company to anyone. Their customer service is so severely lacking it is unconscionable. My first issue was having them come to clean/snake a drain in an upstairs bathroom for which the plumber did a horrible job, leaving the drain still clogged and blaming that ""it was an upstairs bathroom and the pipe is not straight"". Yeah....okay. Nonetheless tried a second time in an emergency situation to contact them to come fix my burner. (After calling dispatch) received a call from a ""tech/plumber"" who said he lived an hour away and had no idea what the problem could be until he came to look at it. But before he would even consider coming...he would need my credit card to charge me $175 (price gouging) to walk out his door. Actually being in dire need of a plumber with no heat....I had no problem with the fee, but said i would pay when he arrived. Glad to pay whatever it was, but not over the phone to some ""guy"" I was not sure would show up. The guy was rude, condescending and quite nasty. Plus a reputable company would not need to do this. But he refused and hung up! I spoke to the dispatch woman who advised that this is policy. Really....she could have advised me when she answered the phone.

Silver lining....found a great company who knew exactly what the problem was when I explained it over the phone. Reasonable, honest and experienced.

Beware. As another reviewer said...this company deserves no stars.

Called upon Williston Plumbing for a leak from my 2nd floor to 1st floor bathroom. The workers showed up right on time and covered everything before working. I was given the price before the actual repair was made. The ceiling was opened first to get an idea of the work involved prior to be given a price(this made me nervous but i understand they do need to see to give a price). This made sense, and they did complete the work at the propsed price. Everything was cleaned nicely before my kids came home from school. I am very satisfied with this company, they were very clean and professional.

If there were zero stars to give this place, I'd opt for that.

I was informed earlier in my day that there had been a leak in my gas line, and that I needed to rectify the situation by calling a licensed plumber. I didn't realize that calling Williston Plumbing & Heating Corp. would mean I'd be calling an overpriced, underservicing company with patronizing workers. I wasted several hours of my day on a company that did not deliver after my gas was shut off. Thus, I'm left here writing a review about a company whose insolence left me cold without heating, no hot water, and deprived of being able to use my stove during a very cold season.

We spoke on the phone with a receptionist regarding the situation and told them explicitly that it would require a gas pressure test. We were not given any estimate over the phone despite asking for this exact charge, and while we were informed by our gas company of exactly what needed to be fixed, we were charged a $75 estimation fee of a problem that *I* had explained to him. If the company had alerted us earlier of this charge, everything would have been fine. The fact that they sent out a technician to charge us $75 WITHOUT having informed us prior to his arrival is unacceptable. The cost is not outrageous, but the principle of hiding this fee is. MOREOVER, I was promised he would arrive within the hour from the initial call. I had to wait well over 90 minutes before he came.

Upon Lucien's arrival, he had no equipment with him aside from a flashlight. He inspected the same problem and gave us a quote of ~$900 for a baseline fee for issues I had through my house, atop ~$200/hr potential work should any other leaks be found. While pricey, I did not mind paying for this. What I DID mind was his attitude with his customers. On the phone with the owner of the house, he had overreacted to legitimate questions and concerns my family had prior to any service he had given them. His tone was utterly disrespectful, and the way he spoke with myself and everyone in my family was absurd in that he was condescending, imperious, and haughty to the people who expected to create a lasting relationship with this company. It is extremely unfortunate considering we had heard positive things about the service here.

While I don't doubt Lucien's skills as a plumber, the way he addressed customers who had taken time out of their day to illustrate the problem very explicitly was out of line. He yelled at my family over the phone, and when we refused to pay, he became very aggressive with us for service we didn't receive and for telling us the exact problem we had told him prior to his arrival. He was not informed of the pressure test we needed when we spoke to the receptionist; the communication between members of this company is very poor. I had spoken to the woman who scheduled his visit to my home, and to her merit, she waived the fee. However, the extreme frustration Williston Plumbing caused is not something I've ever encountered from a servicial company. I am deeply, deeply unsatisfied and will not call this unprofessional, ill-mannered company again. I don't recommend you find your plumber here.
