We were in a pinch as my parents were arriving from out of state, and sure enough we had a problem with the guest room toilet (broken water valve and worn out gasket). The good folks at Riley Wm J went out of their way to expedite the service. The tech who came was courteous and professional, and the repair charges were very reasonable. We will use them again.

Talk about helpful, honest and wonderful! Right here, look no further. I've been gathering estimates for my hot water heater replacement (required by condo after 10 years) and after 5 estimates I call Riley Plumbing. They ask size, model, and then asks if I have serial number. Liz looks it up and, lo and behold, the unit is only 6 years old and does not need replacing!!! Not one other plumbing company did this minor, but super important, piece of research before providing the estimate! This is the plumbing company I have saved in my Contacts list. Thank you to Riley Plumbing.

The co reviewer and I have a family members oil boiler that needed some immediate attention.

We called and setup an appointment right away.

Dave came out on time to meet us and check out our aging boiler.

Dave has been working on boilers since he was a kid in his dad's business and it shows. He cleaned and serviced the unit like a surgeon.

After all the work and testing we feel so much better about the safety and efficiency of this unit.

We will definitely be calling back for our annual inspections and any other plumbing issues.

This review was for work done in Johnston, RI not CA like it suggests on Yelp. William J Riley Plumbing did ""work"" in my condo unit on Dec. 27, 2019 and did not come back when I addressed concerns about the quality of the work. On January 24, 2020 my condo property manager called to notify me that the downstairs unit owner complained of a leak from my unit which had damaged his ceiling. The condo association's plumber came out to inspect my tub and fixtures on Jan. 27th and determined that the overflow faceplate was installed incorrectly causing the leak downstairs.
So not only did I in good faith pay Riley Plumbing for their ""work"" but now I'm having to pay for the damage they created and did not rectify when I asked them to. It's pure negligence! If I could, I'd give them 0 stars.

I received shoddy, inferior installation of new tub and shower fixtures. They mixed old and new pieces, chrome with brushed nickel. Looks terrible and the owner refused to do anything to rectify the situation.

I'm giving a 2 star rating because I've used them 3 previous times with good results. But now, despite having spoken with the office twice in the last week to schedule two different repairs, they can't be bothered to call back and schedule the work. Definitely hit or miss with these people. Too bad. I really need a good plumber.

Based on the great reviews I called to get an estimate. Apparently they do not have time for estimates. Never received a call back after speaking with 2 different people.
