Our A.O. Smith hot water tank had stopped working. It was still under warranty so the company sent us a new pilot assembly. We called the plumber we have used for other problems, the one who installed the tank initially (we didn't know about William Cruz Plumbing then), to install the new pilot assembly, but after he left, we noticed that the flame in the pilot area was much bigger than usual and made a loud sputtering sound, something we'd never heard before from the unit. We called him back. He claimed it was fine, but we were still worried about the tank's safety. I even had PG&E check it out, and their technician said it was okay.

I then called A.O. Smith again and told the service person what we were experiencing. He said it was something they were familiar with and referred us to William Cruz Plumbing. Natalie, the woman I spoke with on the phone, said it sounded as if there was a hole in the burner, and she was right. She sent out a technician who confirmed the problem. A.O. Smith sent us a new burner as well as a valve assembly. Once these things arrived, Natalie did everything she could to get one of their workers out here to install these new parts, and our pilot assembly now functions normally. No flames. No loud sputtering. It's finally safe again. We're so grateful to have been referred to Cruz Plumbing, and we feel we now have a REAL plumber to call on when we need someone. Excellent service and customer care. I'm totally impressed!

They made us a priority and came after a long day and stayed to examine and explain what the problem was and what was needed to repair plumbing. If you suddenly have a plumbing emergency, you can put an immediate end to your anxiety by contacting William Cruz Plumbing. Our old water heater died unexpectedly on a Friday afternoon. We reached out to a number of local plumbers but none had any time available for at least a week. Yikes! No way we could survive a week without hot water. My fellow real estate agent, Michael Price-Brown, recommended we call William. Boy was he right! William was phenomenal. He was sympathetic to our plight and switched some things around in his busy schedule so that he could get to us on Monday morning. He showed up exactly on time and evaluated the situation. He very patiently and thoroughly discussed our options. We asked about installing a tankless water heater. He explained the pros and cons. Even though it meant less money for him, based upon the information he provided, we opted for a traditional 40 gallon water heater. He had it installed by the end of that afternoon. In addition to his excellent work, he cleaned up a bunch of little things that needed to be replaced from the former plumber such as some pipe fitting, an air-vent stack and various connectors. William is an expert plumber with a ton of experience. More importantly, he is a man of integrity. I trust this man and wholeheartedly recommend you turn to him for all your plumbing needs.

When I found out I had to ""replumb"" a 3-unit building, I immediately thought of William.

He was upfront and said the property was too far away for him and his crew to do the job since it was a 2-hour drive each way.
I totally understood.

But, I insisted on working with William, so I offered to put he and his crew up to stay in town because I knew he was worth it.

For example, since his last re-pipe job 4+ years ago on another property, I have never had any problems.

William's method also saved me thousands by not having to pay someone to sheetrock walls and replace floors, for instance.

William's price is fair, he's experienced and uses only high quality materials so his work lasts much longer than most.

Mr. Cruz gave us quick information by phone on the weekend to stop a leak. He then fit us in to his already scheduled Monday. He was easy to talk to and very helpful.

I made at least twenty phone calls to plumbing companies on memorial day for a furious leak in a pipe outside in my back yard. Half the companies didn't respond, and half of them had some kind of ""special"" charges--- one company had the utter balls to say they would charge $395.00 just to come out and do an estimate on memorial day! Others had charges ranging from $90 to $190 just to come out and give an estimate, and many said they had no one working on memorial day. I called William Cruz Plumbing, and Natalie told me she might be able to get someone out in the afternoon or next day, she would check and call me back. She said they would charge $55 for the estimate l if I didn't hire them to do the work, and if I did hire them, they would only charge for the work. Natalie got right back to me, the plumbers came out exactly when they said they would, they worked efficiently, and it appears they did a good job. They charged a reasonable amount for the work, and were very pleasant to deal with. You really cannot ask for more. I will definitely call them whenever I need a plumber!

William and his guys are fantastic! We needed two bathrooms in our new condo made wheelchair accessible and William was there with us all the way. Actually, he is still working with us right now on other needs in our unit and continues to be a true partner in this process!
He is fast, very responsive, very friendly and made this daunting process entirely doable.

William is so professional and FAST!

I called him on a Sunday night because a shared line in my apartment got clogged and backed up into my kitchen sink. He answered right away and calmly walked me through the steps to take, from calling the landlord and talking to the upstairs neighbor, to recommending cleaning afterward. He arrived first thing in the morning and was very thorough, even walking me through what he was doing and why, preventative steps if something like this happens in the future, and informing me about possible reoccurrences if certain things aren't fixed. Great communication skills is a real plus too. I can't recommend him enough!!
