I called him on a Sunday night because a shared line in my apartment got clogged and backed up into my kitchen sink. He answered right away and calmly walked me through the steps to take, from calling the landlord and talking to the upstairs neighbor, to recommending cleaning afterward. He arrived first thing in the morning and was very thorough, even walking me through what he was doing and why, preventative steps if something like this happens in the future, and informing me about possible reoccurrences if certain things aren't fixed. Great communication skills is a real plus too. I can't recommend him enough!!

William and his team are amazing. They completed a full bathroom remodel in my condo in a matter of weeks. I had to deal with 2 unreliable contractors in Oakland before I finally found William, and it was a HUGE relief to finally work with someone so professional and skilled.

William's work is exceptional. He and his team always showed up on time and with a smile. They worked fast and kept me informed about every step in the process. I took out a permit from the city of Oakland for this job, and we passed all the inspections with flying colors! Thank you, William and team! I will be calling you for help with all my house-related projects going forward.

His prices are very reasonable and he really makes sure you are happy with the end result. If you are thinking about a remodel, or need just need some plumbing work done in your house, look no further!!

Despite not doing any work in my home - William Cruz Plumbing gets five stars! I contacted the plumber who initially did work on our house but said he was too busy and referred me to two other plumbers. One never returned my text and the other was William Cruz Plumbing. When I called William asked if I was free as he could be at my house in Oakland in 15 minutes. In less than 15 minutes, my doorbell rang. He and an associate carefully inspected my shower leak and gave me straight up advise on next steps. It's really easy for experienced plumbers to provide immediate customer service and concise input without doing a full repair. So why do most lose this quick opportunity? William Cruz Plumbing has expertly figured that out service excellence and responds accordingly. They will absolutely be my first and only call for plumbing issues going forward!!

Our sump pump stopped working on a Saturday morning just in time for the rain. Our 9 yr. old pump is in in the garage so I was quite worried about flooding. William took my call early and offered to stop by to take a look at the pump after he finished the job he was at. After I sent a few pics he told me he was on his way and stopped by his supplier and picked up a new pump, just in case, but told me I wasn't obliged to go with it if I didn't want to. I liked his efficiency.

He gave me updates on his arrival and once he looked at and worked with the pump, he told me I didn't necessarily have to replace it and the stop was just a malfunction probably due to the age of the unit; he advised that it would be a good idea to replace it but gave me the option not to as long as I understood the risks. Although the pump did have some wear left on it I did decide to replace it to avoid a future flood. William did the work (and showed me how to do it) quickly and efficiently. Vacuumed the area afterwards and left it cleaner than it was prior to the work. Flat price was reasonable for a Saturday ""emergency"". Will definitely be calling William again for any other plumbing issues. Praying for rain again and not worried...

Called William Cruz this morning, we had a backed up sink, he arrived within 20 min. He is very professional, I can't stress this enough he explained everything he would be doing, and we watched while he worked. He is fine with people watching him work, he quoted us a price and stuck to the price.. He was able to fix the clog in no time, and explained and showed us what caused the clog. He is reasonable with his prices, and you just can't get better service than this. We have been ripped off in the past and very careful of who we trust, he has restored our faith in honesty.

William and his crew just replaced a 10' sewer lateral for us. When other bigger name plumbing companies quoted massive prices that included a lot of unnecessary work (like digging into the street) William knew a smarter and better way to do exactly what the city wanted. They were in and out in a day and a half. The inspector have us an approval that's good for 20 years too.

They are super professional, fairly priced and very quick to text, respond and discuss the potential scope of work and different options.

We had to wait a bit for him to have some time and it was totally worth it.

William installed an earthquake shut off valve and was prompt and clear in his communications. Along the way, he attempted to provide an opportunity for me to have an inspection done without his presence (that would have saved us appx $200), however, the inspection scheduling clerks and system made it clear that his personal involvement would be needed. We passed no problem. After seeing how clunky the inspection process is, I can't blame William for the fact that he had to take extra time to comply. Regardless, William also provided additional time of his to help me consider other plumbing issues likely to arise in the future at no extra charge.

William helped us work through a stressful issue with a major drain line running under our home. We initially contacted him to help install a laundry - but during his very thorough review of the work he discovered a cracked pipe. He spent an hour with us during the first visit, walking through the various options and providing thorough quotes on the work. He then came out two additional times to confirm the work we wanted to do - all the while helping us to weigh the pros and cons of not only the work, but it would might mean for future improvements/renovations we might consider. I can't remember working with a more thoughtful, service-oriented professional. He has always been friendly, patient, honest, on time and has done incredible work. His team is friendly and fast. Lastly, he is very good at taking the time to explain everything he is doing and has done. So, as a homeowner, you receive a little education on the systems he is building. It's a service he does not need to provide, but that makes him all the more impressive.
