Here's the reason for this low review. We called and followed directions on the voicemail to email information to them and they would respond. It's been about 2 WEEKS and we never heard back. Not even a ""sorry but your job is too small"" or ""we don't have time to fit you in"". Nothing. Very poor and I will try another company.

I have changed my review to slightly better, as I received a email back from Whitelaw Plumbing. He apologized for taking so long to get back to me. Although he is too busy to help me with my plumbing request, he was able to give me a couple of referrals to try. I thank him for that.

I am reluctant to write this review because the next time we need Ben, he will be more booked up than he is already. We waited patiently for him to fix our water hammering problem. Ben communicated with us very well via email exchanges and told us what options we have with our existing pipes when he came out to diagnose the problem. Not only did he take care of our problem, he was punctual! Honest guy and no surprise charges. Highly recommend!

Ben is great. We hired him to do some work at our new condo. I chose him based on his Yelp reviews and I am very happy with this choice. The previous owners didn't do a very good job installing things, so there were leaks everywhere. Ben was very thorough, explained all the options, provided recommendations for different products. Highly recommend him if you want to have peace of mind when it comes to plumbing.

Ben has done a lot of work on our house and always does an amazing job. We've had him replace a water heater, replace old plumbing in our house (for our remodel) and he also put in an extension to a pipe line so that we could move our washer and dryer from upstairs to downstairs. He always acts with high professionalism and is a general pleasure to have in your house when you need plumbing work done. He makes recommendations per code and is accurate in his estimates for his work. I would highly recommend him and his services. He also communicates well via email which we love. Ben is a fantastic plumber. He is literally the closest listed plumber to our house, which is how we found him, but he's turned out to be great. The previous owner of our house liked to fix things himself, which led to some ""creative solutions"" in our plumbing. Ben has helped us get some of that straightened out. He also referred us to some terrific contractors when we decided to remodel our kitchen and bathroom.

He even told me what was involved with a completely separate issue from the reason I had hired him, and warned me away from spending money on items where I didn't need to.

Ben does great work at a fair price, and is just a nice person to work with. He updated our plumbing and replaced our water heater with minimal interruption in water availability. In the process, he saved us more than $1000 by talking me out of needlessly expensive tankless water heater.

Basic bathroom remodel turned up an issue that was a bit outside of my DIYer comfort range. After visiting another so-called plumbing company who first misidentified the type of toilet flange I had even with a video, and then told me their plan to fix it (which violated code btw), I got on yelp. I found all these reviews. I called Ben.

Ben correctly identified my issue in 10 seconds on the phone, and I was lucky enough to have him out the following week. He told me several steps I could take ahead of time that would save him time and keep my bill lower. He arrived early in the morning, reminded me of the price range (between easy and worst case scenario), and got to it. 2 hours later, and everything was completed and for less than expected.

When I finished a portion of my job that I thought may require his help again, his schedule was already fairly full and I could not wait. HOWEVER, he spoke to me on the phone for several minutes (even after a 12 hour day of work) and coached me on EXACTLY what was required. He also had a frank conversation with me regarding a job that I would have gladly paid him to do (and would have been highly profitable for him), but that he felt could be a large waste of our money.

Great dude, great plumber. I'll recommend him to EVERYONE.

Ben did an excellent job finishing the repiping that a large plumbing company did not complete. The other plumbing company was lazy and didn't do the hard work. They also didn't clamp the main water shut off valve and left other pipes dangling. In comes Ben and his assistant, Dave. They repiped the kitchen sink and 2 bathrooms which included cutting through walls. They kept the plaster dust from spreading throughout the house by building a tent. I am skepticle about contractors and I worry about potential damage to an 86 year old house. This is the first time I felt great about the work that was done and without me getting stressed out. I cannot speak high enough on how happy I was with the quality of Ben's work. He is very conscientious and has a very high work ethic. Now I have finally found a great plumber to do all of my work in the future.
