I called Whistle Plumbing twice, once when my pipes were clogged and flooded my downstairs room and a 2nd time when I just needed to be sure there wasn't a slab leak going on.

Paul is one of the last honest plumbers. Most plumbers make you feel like they show up with their calculators, trying to see where they can keep adding to your bill. Paul actually listens to you and cares about your plumbing. He is very knowledgeable so it's easy to trust him and a relief to know that your home is in good hands. He's also reliable and a hard worker. You know when you call Whistle Plumbing the job will get done right and you won't be overcharged!

I called them almost begging to get the job done the same day. They said they could have obliged (possibly working into the late hours), but I decided to suck it up and wait until the morning.

I rarely write reviews--on Yelp or anywhere else--but for these guys I'll gladly make an exception. Got their name from Excalibur Water Heaters (another top notch outfit) when I asked them to recommend someone they'd trust with their own plumbing. About a week later I was glad I did--our bathtub backed up without warning at 6am on a work day, and we needed to get it fixed quickly.

Paul and Derrick showed up at 8am, as promised, and quickly and efficiently cleared the clog (they ended up having to snake the drain). Turns out our tub has a somewhat tricky drain plug mechanism, but they managed just fine.

About a month later, I called them again because the water filter I'd installed under our kitchen sink was leaking. They came by, pointed out exactly where I'd goofed in doing the installation, and explained what I'd need to do to fix it--and refused to charge me for the visit, even though I tried to insist.

These guys are outstanding--excellent service, straightforward, and honest. Five stars!

Moved out of San Francisco and out to the burbs. Had a shower backup and decided to call Paul. He explained to me what to do and quoted me a price that was great!! Came back from vacation and found a leaking water heater in the garage. This was 1 PM on a Friday. Consulted Yelp and called Whistle. They were on another job but told me they'd come by and take a look around 3PM. As promised, they showed up @ 3PM and gave me a very reasonable quote, no up sell or pressure on warranty. Replaced the water heater and was done before 5PM. Super courteous and friendly guys. Thank you Whistle Plumbing.

I called Paul/Whistle Plumbing in the morning to provide an estimate for replacing what appeared to be a leaky faucet at a rental home in Daly City. He came over the same morning and assessed the problem as a loose angle stop. He tighten the angle stop and was not going to charge me for the call! I decided to have the faucet replaced anyway since it was over 20 years old. Paul did such a good job, I decided to have him perform some other plumbing work (replacing a toilet and shower/bathtub faucet). He and his team did a outstanding and professional job!

Since then, I had Paul come to my own residence to address a constant slow draining laundry tub drain. Again, I was impressed with Paul's professionalism, honesty and quality work. I would definitely contact Paul for any future plumbing needs.

Called Sat morning to get help clearing a clogged tub drain after flushing with Liquid Plumber made things worse from a slow drain to a completely stopped drain. They gave me a time slot for mid morning that they would call before showing up. Very professional crew, written estimate before work is done. Total $159, done in about 30 min, really worth it! Legit business, bonded and insured.
