Service? They might have to look that up in the dictionary. I scheduled to have a toilet installed on a Friday. I took the day off to be there, then Friday morning they call and say they are too busy and want to reschedule for next week. I told them there is no one home during business hours. They said they could come on Saturday so I said fine. Saturday morning I get a call saying they are too busy and want to reschedule during the week. Same response from me. They rescheduled for the following Saturday. That Saturday the technician arrived on schedule but he said that they quoted me the wrong price and the toilet I ordered was $100 more. Classic Bait and Switch. I told him fine I have a coupon for $100 off any service which has printed on it expires 8-31-2021. He said that the coupon is not valid for their special. What Special? Of course there is no one in management to talk to on a Saturday. Worse customer service I have ever seen

I called up to take advantage of the $44 AC inspection. The tech showed up and took the housing of my furnace apart. I am upstairs after surgery on my leg, which is not a minor issue as I am laid up for 3 weeks. Anyways he comes up and says he cannot do an inspection of the AC due to its too cold, but he found the blower motor is leaking oil and the capacitor will need to be replaced. They will call you back to get this done. We'll I called the company who installed the furnace and it is under warranty, so they scheduled the next day. Whipple calls me back to schedule me, and I informed them no thanks my furnace is under warranty. The tech came out and there was absolutely nothing wrong as my blower us a sealed unit, and is normal to seap a little oil, and the capacitor was fine. He also checked the performance of my AC. Wow what a piece of work.

I had a new toilet installed, they did a very good job, eventhough I found out later, they charged me a premium price. My main beef with this company is I signed up for a service contract, where they promised me to service my HVAC yearly and put me at the top of the list for plumbing needs. They failed at both. When I had a plumbing issue last summer, it was a two day wait for service! They never did contact me to service my HVAC.
When I called to cancel my contract and request a refund of my paid fees since they didn't provide any of the services they promised they refused the refund!
I am just wondering if it's worth my time to take them to small claims court to get back my $300+ I have paid them for nothing!!
They do good work, but it's expensive. If they offer you a service plan, my advice is refuse it!
When, I canceled and asked for a refund, they're excuse was they couldn't because they gave me a discount for they're service when I signed up, which was total b.s.
I had a coupon for a toilet replacement for $275.
The plumber had some issues with the flange being rusted out and had to use some wedges and also replaced the valve for a ball valve, but it ended up costing me nearly $500 total!
I know my comment is really long, but I just want to let others know, this is a company you may want to avoid, find a small, locally owned plumbing company and you will save a lot of money!

Please Read Carefully!!! Do your Research and always get a second quote!!

Our HVAC stopped working. Currently in the midst of low pressure making things very low in temperature. House temp was sitting around 50ish degrees in the morning getting up to 60 in the late afternoon.

We had Whipple to come and inspect our equipment, they had informed us that the machine had met its life expectancy. The equipment was installed in 2010.

After their inspection they told us the machine is no longer working and that they could put a $2000 dollar adhesive cover on and have it, most likely, fail in 2 to 3 years and do this over and over or just bite the bullet and replace the entire system. With ""fancy graphs/charts"" indicating life expectancy of a HVAC system it had met its end. However, the graph did not say for what model or what kind of equipment. Their advice was to buy new equipment including an air conditioner which they never inspected but were convinced it also need to be replaced.

Their ever fast paced ""non sales team"" quickly jumped in, reassuring us they were not sales people, RED FLAG 1. If someone is presenting you cost they are sales people regardless of what they say.
By early next morning and after talking with ""the non sales person representive"" there was a creation of unnecessary high pressure that made us need to move now because they were ready to go, and install today only at a certain time or it would be a while when they could be back to install. Again temps were cold and we were getting desperate to be warm.
The Best part was the new HVAC system can be installed today at the very affordable and low cost of $15,000. RED FLAG, number 2! (If you do any quick google search High End equipment and installation barely meets that number)
After talking prices, the ""non sales person"" calls the boss who is the lead sales manager....odd, very odd. To discuss best offers. After ""precision negotiating"", the ""non sales team"" was ready to bring the offer down to $12,00 and because they weren't sales people they threw in a few extra perks, because true sales people never say but wait there is more, if you want to act now. RED FLAG 3.
After we told the sales team(clearly at this point we can all agree that they were in fact a sales team), we need to sit on this and think about it and not just jump into this one, a.k.a. making sure we are not getting the rug pulled out from under us. The Non sales person needed to take a picture for their records and numbers they offered. Red Flag D or 4 for those who may be keeping track. If they are offering the same fair price to everyone, why would they need to take a picture of it.....a little odd.

We called some family and friends and asked for any recommendations. Surprisingly, Whipple was more disliked than what they lead on.

In an hour, we had the wonderful team at Aire-Flo Heating & Air Conditioning, say, ""Wait, what? That does not make sense if your system was installed in 2010 you should be getting at least 10 more years out of it"". RED FLAG E or 5 for Whipple!

And for the amazing low price of 80 dollars and 30 mins of our time. Our house is getting toasty, as I write this.

TL:DR (TL:DR stand for to long did not read the entire thing) Whipple tried to upsell us for a new system of $15K on a no longer working HVAC system. When Aire-Flo Heating & Air Conditioning came in, gave us 10 more years on our HVAC for nothing and replaced one part $80 and only 30 mins and now, we are sitting cozy and warm.

Don't bother trying to get a quote from this company. They have just a receptionist answering the phone. Tried multiple times to just get an appointment for an estimate and after 3 business days, I still have yet to get a call back. Gave 2 stars cause the receptionist was nice and tried her best to get a hold of someone in scheduling. All other places I called first try could give me an estimate appointment.

I had an appointment today and Whipple just canceled for an emergency. I haven't had hot water since Tuesday. I had Whipple come out before Tuesday to check over my furnace, and now I do not have hot water! I bought my hot water heater from Whipple and it is under warranty. Because of an 'emergency' Whipple wants me to wait until NEXT before they can come out. I wonder how they would like not washing their hair, taking a shower, and doing dishes etc etc for THAT many days???? I am definitely being ignored and not important to their company.
Sadly, I have liked Whipple, but I do not understand why 'my' emergency has to wait for a week or more. I am not happy!!!
I will have to find a company who thinks not having hot water is a problem.

Just don't.
They installed our (very expensive) HVAC system a few years ago and we've regretted it ever since.

We spent $21k on two new furnaces with humidifiers and it turns out they didn't install either the furnaces or humidifiers correctly. Lots of issues last year with furnaces and recently humidifiers. We set up five appointments to finally get a repairman who can fix humidifiers. Two appointments were canceled by Whipple because of weather, a third we canceled because they were supposed to come in the morning and by 2:30 pm we hadn't heard a word. The fourth time they sent a guy who didn't know humidifiers. Now the humidifier repair man is telling is that they weren't installed correctly - no transformers. Now we have to set up another appointment to get the humidifiers fixed. Very disappointed with Whipple and cannot recommend.

I am 86 years old and feel like they took advantage of me. I had a water heater that was leaking. Chose Whipple because they could come right out. They charged me over $2,000.  Which I found out later was double what it should have been.  They did not have an invoice to give me and could only email one. I don't email. I requested one from the office the next day and never received it. They did throw in a free furnace tune up with my over priced water heater. Well today I had them come do the ""free"" tune up. They said my 20 year old furnace needed to be replaced along with my ac compressor. If I wanted to just repair it the price would be over $1,000.  They said it was leaking exhaust and was a danger. They turned it off. When I said I was going to get a 2nd opinion they asked who I was going to call. I said I didn't know. Then they made me sign something saying they were not responsible and made me turn it back on. They loaded their tools and kind of stomped off.  The 2nd opinion company came out within a couple hours and said there is nothing wrong with it. It was leaking a slight amount of exhaust because something was turned up too high (which I wonder if Whipple had done). It cost me a small service fee - no parts - no labor. Once again I think they prey on old people and that's a shame.

I will never, ever, ever use this company! When I called to make an appointment to get a quote for a water softener I was told they wouldn't come unless my husband was there because a woman can't make this big of a purchase without her husbands permission. Misogyny will not be tolerated in my home! My husband's work schedule is such that he can't be home during the day. Mine is more flexible.

We found another company who would listen to a female without being condescending, and spent out money there.
