When we were building our house, they were great. Unfortunately, only 4 years later, the hot water heater they selected for us blew. It was very difficult to get a hold of them. We left a voicemail which wasn't returned, then we called several times after to find the voicemail was full. Eventually, I was able to locate an email address for Jon and finally received a reply. He let us know that company went bankrupt and our only option is to buy a new unit. It took him a week to get someone out to our house to take a look and then another week to provide a proposal. I was very disappointing in the lack of customer service to begin with, but I understand that they are very busy. Unfortunately, I was insulted in the provided quote. The charge for labor was ridiculous and was overcharging us for the cost of the new water heater. I replied to the email to express my disappointment and never received a reply back. I would highly suggest using a reliable plumber that actually cares about their customers.

Whidbey island plumbing recently plumbed my new home, there work was very professional and neat, when I had problems with my brand new water heater they came and replaced it. They are a first class company.

BEWARE!!! The worst customer service!!!! Initially WIP were very responsive and came out right away to fix my pilot. As he was leaving he told me to call if it the new pilot didn't work. Not even 2 hours later the pilot was out. I have called 6 times and left 4 messages over the past 7 days. Clearly, they don't stand behind their work. I have been without hot water for 3 weeks and am now looking to purchase a whole new unit. Terrible customer service!

I couldn't tell you if they do a good job or not because I can't get them to come out. I can understand being too busy at the time I called, but to completely ignore 2 phone calls where I asked Jon to please at least call me back if he could not find the time to replace my garbage disposal so I can try to get someone else is unprofessional and rude. A business who can't return phone calls and leave people hanging with a problem can't be trusted in my experience. Good service with many businesses in the field of home repairs is hard to find on or in the surrounding areas of the Island. Such a shame. Returning phone calls is an easy thing to do. Oh well, guess I need to learn how to do these things myself. Definitely won't be calling Whidbey Island Plumbing again. In fact, I'll make a point of not recommending them when asked if I know a good plumber.
