Terrible experience. They were the assigned vendor to fix a water heater through American Home Shield. First time they came out was fine. Second time they didn't show up and said they were at the door and no one answered (not true). They were approved to replace the heater. Cancelled the morning of the appointment day and rescheduled for a week later. Following week, they cancelled the morning of the appointment again. This time they said someone called the day before and that I would not provide access to replace the heater. Aside from being complete BS and no one called, how does it make sense that I wouldn't give access to replace a water heater I want replaced? Avoid this company at all costs.
Update: there is no access issue. It is a lie they made up to not come and service. There is a couch that was moved and floor covering placed. George, please tell American Home Shield that you will not service so that a reputable company can be assigned. Don't take assignments if they are outside of your service area and then lie to try and get out of them.

We had a leak in our bathroom and our home warranty company dispatched wham plumbing. We received a phone call from them telling us that ""legally"" they are not able to come and do any work until they first send out a mitigation company to asses any damages from the leak before they could address the leak. A representative from Pro Dry came and told us we need to rip out our brand new floors, rip out drywall, replace the bathtub and have a mold abetment team come out and check for mold, which would cost $1000 just for them to check for mold, and they need to leave a dehumidifier in the bathroom for $100 a day until we agreed to do all of that they could not address the leak. Wham plumbing never showed up then reported to our insurance company that the service call was cancelled by the homeowner which was a lie. Because they cancelled the call we had to start the process again and wait another day with a continuous leak for another company to come out and fix the problem within 10 minutes. Terrible business practices

Great response time when I needed plumbing service through American Home Shield. The plumber gave an honest assessment of the problem and took care of it.

I would like to commend Wham Plumbing for promptly addressing our bathroom problems that we reported. We called and reported our concerns to the company and immediately sent Mr. Franco. He looked into the problem areas and did his best to fix it. Though, it needed a follow up to complete the job, the company sent Mr. Rick to look into other reasons that might have caused the problem. As homeowners, we know that it may not be fixed in one visit but we feel much relieved when we know that Wham will always be there to help and fulfill their commitments. Kudos and more power!

Talked George who was very nice that's the one star, after that phone call things went from bad to worse. I was given a service window which was not keep, the service consisted of pushing two buttons on my tankless electric water heater, he stated that he would go to his truck, call America Home Shield for approval and come right back he left and never returned 24 hours later I received a call from Wham to confirm if I was happy with the completed service. I informed her that the work had not been done she hung up and would not answer my return calls. I got no service and no answers to my many calls. Then after seeing a message from AHS that Wham would schedule a follow up appointment, The next call came from AHS who said I had missing parts and would not service my fairly new Tankless unit which had been approve by inspector from city of LA ,Poor service

I've consistently had excellent experiences with Wham Plumbing. Their professionalism and accuracy are top-notch, and I've been consistently impressed by their exceptional customer service.

George, keep telling yourself that. Your company is dishonest, and I have already asked AHS to never assign you guys to me. Good luck to you and your clients.
to the owners reply, there was NO secondary damage. The second company AHS sent out did not see any damage what so ever, and was able to replace the garbage disposal. So stop trying to use CA laws to get over on people.
We had a leak from our garbage disposal few days before Christmas. I called AHS right away, and they set up Wham to come out. The tech came in and within 2 minutes, my husband calls and said that they said there is water damage and needs to have a third party come out for water damage. Of course i put a bowl underneath to catch any water and there was no water was ever ""sitting"" on our cabinet. The tech said oh don't worry, just file a complain with your home insurance and you can get new cabinets , different style if you want. And even a new island. What in the world are you talking about? The cabinets are new, ( moisture resistant by the way!) and the leak JUST started.
So anyway, he said he could replace the disposal, but needs their third party company to come out first. I was already suspicious... he said the third party would call me first to see when it would be ok for them to come out. Maybe within 2 hrs, someone is at our door. I was not home so i spoke to them thru our Ring that no one ever called me to set up an appointment, and that i was not comfortable with them coming into my house.
I called AHS and filed a complaint and told them to NEVER send out this company again. They are sending out a second opinion, so we will see if the new plumber notices this imaginary water damage. Don't let people scam you and entice you with ideas of a ""new kitchen"" I am not trying to come up on my home owners insurance. All we need is AHS to send us an honest plumber to replace our garbage disposal.
To the owner of this company, please feel free to message me. I will be happy to speak to you personally about my experience.

Terrible service, unresponsive, and a scam. Do not hire these people. They also claimed that we had a high level of moisture and had to send a third company. The other company came and found no moisture. Another person had the same experience.

Wham Plumbing is highly professional, and friendly. George is a pleasure to deal with! I really appreciate that the owner is out doing service calls also. They know their stuff!

We are reporting this company.
They came to fix a small leak in our shower faucet and claimed they had to break all the shower tiles to access the hardware. They also went to the opposite side of the wall, far from the shower, and said there was water inside an outlet, recommending a restoration company to break the wall and check for mold. We called our insurance, who sent another plumbing company. It turned out all that was needed was replacing a small part in the faucet, and everything was fine. This company is extremely dishonest and not recommended. very bad
