I had a toilet that every now and then would not flush properly. Many times, using a plunger and toilet auger worked, but eventually the problem returned. I knew there was something wrong that was beyond my experience and expertise. I called Western Rooter because of the many excellent reviews online. Justin and Diego showed up to fix the problem, which they did quickly and efficiently. The problem was roots that eventually grew large enough to cause a blockage. Fortunately for me, the roots were easily removed and did not extend beyond the local area and did not pose a problem of returning anytime soon. They were very courteous and professional. They demonstrated a high level of experience. I am very happy with Western Rooter and Justine and Diego. Definitely will add Western Rooter to my list of contractors to call for future issues. I am very happy for value I received, definitely worth the cost.

So, get this. My wife and I were moving from Sierra Madre to North Carolina on August 1st. I was going to disconnect the refrigerator ice water line and realized when the idiotic plumbers replumbed my kitchen many years ago they did not install a separate shutoff for the water supply line; they simply tapped off the cold angle stop. This did not allow to use the kitchen sink. I did not want to leave it like that for the new owners.

My house was full of boxes and who knew where any of my own tools were to do such a job. Not like I would have under the circumstances. Sent out an SOS to Western. I was assured, ""don't worry, we're on it."" Sure enough Monday morning, moving day among a five-man packing crew, a sea of boxes, bookcases, beds and more, Western shows up with the usual smile and great greeting. Problem solved in no time.

I'm writing this from Atlanta on August 4th. That's how much I respect this company and people.

do not call this place for emergency plumbing repair
i got a major toilet leak abd flooded my toilet on sunday evening i search and rewuested for emergency plumbing repair thru yelp
this company is the only one that answered my request the plumber showed up and fixed the leak in 15min and charge me $245 for labor & parts i believe this is highway robbery i wish i could find someone else at the last min
but unfortunately i had no choice
i will never use this company again for any plumbing service

My family arrived home from a month-long road trip, to find that our drains were not... You know, draining. After trying to auger the drain myself, and making it about 10 feet down before my small Home Depot tool reached the limits of its abilities, I realized I needed a professional.

In hindsight, I wish I had known about Western Rooter before I called one of their competitors who advertises on the radio with a lowball, bait and switch price for drain cleaning.

That other company came out, used pretty much the same style and grade of auger I had used, then suggested he needed to pull the toilet. I suggested... And I'm just spitballing here... That maybe he try the sewer clean out plainly visible on my patio. Nice kid, and I'm sure he was a better plumber than I am, but to cut to the chase, he was unable to resolve the problem. Told me he made it about 30 feet in, and despite trying both the tub and the toilet and making it through there drops, suggested that my cast iron drops was shot, and would require replacement to the tune of several thousand dollars. I thanked him, wished him a very nice rest of the day, and told him I'd be in touch if I wanted to go that route. Kindly, he only charged me for the house call and nothing else. Small victory, but not a solution. Back to the drawing board...

To get to the Western Rooter part of this review, A friend here in town suggested I give them a call, and I did. By the time the other fellow had left, we were in the part of the day that required ""double time"" for the house call, but with no working drains, and all evidence pointing towards a mainline sewer stoppage, I pleaded with the dispatcher to send someone right away. She did.

The Western Rooter plumber arrived right on time, and immediately got to work, sending a camera through the sewer clean out, and down the pipe. Using his tricks of the trade, he adroitly navigated a few plumbing twists and turns to snake The camera into the right spot... Bingo, found the blockage.

Immediately after, the gentleman wheeled in the right gauge and grade of drain auger, ran it down a good 80 feet, then followed that up with another camera down the pipe to ensure that he got it. Problem solved in less than an hour for a ridiculously affordable price, even for the after hours plumber. Didn't feel the slightest pinch tipping this guy an extra President Grant for a job well done, without any mess.

Effectively, getting a second opinion not only resolved the issue, but saved me thousands of dollars for a repair that I, in fact, did not need... And would not have resolved the issue! Talk about dodging a landmine!

What can I say other than our family has a new go-to plumber, trustworthy, honest, and affordable. The fact that they are only minutes from my front door is a bonus... and while I can wish as a homeowner I never need to call them again, I'm relieved to know the reality is that when I do, Western Rooter is the company I'm going to call, and the company to whom I will refer all of my friends and family.

Tony and Rob came out and did a bunch of work in our new home for us. Replaced some toilets, faucets, installed a garbage disposal and a new shower kit. They were super easy to work with, double checked all their work, and did a fantastic job. Price was great too. So happy to have found a reliable plumber and will 100% be using them for any future needs. Highly recommend!

This is not the first time I've reviewed Western Rooter on Yelp. But since I've been asked again to review, all I can say is that Western always puts my mind at ease whenever I have a plumbing problem. They are there for you 24/7 at a moment's notice and are incredibly competent, professional, and friendly. I've had a lot of major plumbing issues in my home and I can't imagine using anyone else to keep my household running properly! They are the best!
