Called the office - they were able to provide a fair quote since my job was pretty small. We scheduled an appt for the following week. Crew was on-time, masked, professional and courteous. The lead plumber even gave me some good advice and offered a quick adjustment to my water heater which was not the reason I called them out. These guys are great. I can't recommend them enough. Showed up same day within hours and replaced my water heater. When issues arose a few months later they handled them with no issue and replaced parts and dealt with the manufacturer for me. They're awesome. Thanks Raymond.

Last week my washing machine broke down and I knew that I not could purchase a new one until I was able to get two old valves replaced that connected the washer's incoming water lines to my incoming water source. I knew that these were parts that were difficult to locate, but I called Ray at Westchester plumbing and he came through for me big time. He was able to special order the parts for me and when they arrived he had his men, Alfredo and his partner, come over right away to installed the valves. They were perfect and I was able to go out and purchase my new washing machine. Now everything is working great! Thank you Ray and Alfredo for being there for me. I've used Westchester Plumbing multiple times. (toilet replacement, fixing shower leaks, etc) They are courteous and generally reliable when it comes to the job. However, they don't really have attention to detail and it's difficult to get a hold of them sometimes. For me, responsiveness is pretty important. I do not want to keep calling and leaving messages to get a response. I'm just a bit tired of following up when I'm a customer. Also, the only way to get a hold of them is through calling, so it can get pretty inconvenient. At this point, I'm just going to try a different plumber. If they can improve their communication efforts, it would be a five-star business. Anyway, I wish the best for them and hope they make efforts to improve!

Arranged an appointment with them, for a specific time window to fix a sink stoppage at my rental unit. Informed the renters. So far so good. Then, I got a text saying they'd arrived early but got no answer at the door. (Well, yeah... we were adhering to YOUR appointment!)
So they left and we re-scheduled for later in the day. Had the tenant just STAY home, just in case.
This time, completely blew me off. Didn't come, didn't call me, didn't answer their phone, didn't respond to voice messages, text messages either. Used them in the past and had no problem, but they're obviously inconsistent with their customer service. So, if you like to gamble, have at it. As for me, I'll be going elsewhere.

My usual plumber has gone out of biz, so I had to find a new one. Found one recommended, but he couldn't make it, recommended Westchester. Excellent rec. Archie came the first time, inspected my work on a 10 yr old Toto Dual-Flush Aquia II, and said, 'No, you need to replace the flush valve too, and here's how to install it when you get it.' No charge.
Turned out the part I needed is obsolete, been replaced by whole new design, beyond my ability. Called Archie this morning at 8, he was here at 9am, did BOTH toilets (the other one runs a bit, annoys the wife,) was done by 10:45. Everything works perfectly.
Courteous, clean, masked, good distancing (these new criteria are important now, will be weird to read in 3 yrs, hopefully), and did a nice job of explaining what he did. The Toto package doesn't include new rods to reach the lower buttons on the new flush valve design. Like a pro, Archie knew the workaround to add length to the existing rods. Sweet. Will call Westchester now when I need a plumber.
