Is there any household emergency that causes as much stress as plumbing issues? Especially 2 days before Thanksgiving! Our toilets, sinks, bathtubs all backed up! Husband out of town so I called ""plumber X"" who sent 2 guys out for $90 only to tell me that they couldn't determine the problem without using a camera into the lines. They would rent a camera for $400 cash from me, then add their labor to that. No guarantees! Because it could be a tree root in our plumbing, or even some major issue under our driveway! They left. I called my husband who then remembered the name of the company who had come out once before: Westar. They said what we were told didn't sound right so they sent Edgar and Chris out within 20 minutes. They isolated the obstruction in the main sewer line, and just like that, our plumbing problem is fixed! Needless to say we highly recommend Westar Plumbing!!!!

So like many other ""Plumber Companies"" in Yuma / Buyer Beware! I called by asking, ""Do you work by hour or job"" That really important and I will explain why: Having conversations with the technician is important, once you understand your problem, definitely ask MORE questions! Make sure to get an estimate before and find out if they need to come back? Ask them again what price are you looking at? Once you get a price you can make that CHOICE! This Company added more charges at the end. Not to mention the office staff makes you feel like you are lying, why is that? The Plumber was knowledgable and hard working but, maybe too good at his job? This is not a place for some.. At least be honest with your clients! We all going through difficult times, no reason to be jerks!

i own apartments in yuma. from time to time i need a sewer line cleaned. i always use ed's sewer service. ed was out of town and i needed service. i called and had the drain cleaned by westar. ed does the job by himself, no helper and is always done in an hour or so. the fee is $79.00, westar showed up with a plumber and a helper. they cleaned the drain. i was charged $186 for the two plumbers and..and... $50 for ""the machine""..total was $236. wrote the owner about the outrageous charge. got no response. karl

Westar was recommended to me, probably based on their service years ago. Unfortunately, I found them to be a bunch of thieves who overcharged every chance they got. Rather than ""get it in writing"" before having them do work, I say that if a company is that unreputable, just find someone else.

I have called Westar for emergency after hours. they were so nice and clean and respectful of my time and property. I will hire them again for normal services. I will recommend them to anyone. They have super upto date equipment and really a good diagnostics to determine the problem.

I had previous good experiences with this outfit. I needed a faucet on my sink and I purchased the wrong one, so they said they would get me something comparable. The faucet I bought was 160.00 gene said he had one around the same price, I also wanted a soap dispenser, the wrong one I had bought, had a soap dispenser. My biggest mistake was not asking for an estimate. A faucet that was brought to my house, that was to be comparable, ended up being 350.00 plus an additional 65.00 for the soap dispenser. I think that this was completely unprofessional for not calling me to at least give me an idea what it was gonna be. He knew I paid about $160.00 for the previous faucet but felt it was ok to get me a faucet worth $415.00. One suggestion I have for customers, GET IN WRITING BEFORE YOU HAVE ANYTHING DONE. This outfit used to have my business, but there is no way I could give this company another dime of mine.

Poor customer service. Initial appointment time between 8-10 am. No show at 10 and had to call. Agreed to wait longer because they were on their way. Waited additional 35 minutes for a no show. No phone call to inform of tardiness.
Beware and look for a company that respects your time.

Cesar with Westar successfully coordinated a plumbing/sprinkler emergency from across the country. While working with Cesar I was able to get my problem diagnosed, coordinated with my tenant, and resolved. A follow on emergency was also quickly handled by Westar. I am happy with the service and will use them again!
