I called to see what he charges to install a kitchen faucet. The last one I had installed in a rental property was $250 about 9 months ago. Online search says average is about $260 in my area. West plumbing wanted $750 to install it. A standard faucet and the old faucet had already been removed. It doesn't take more than an hour or so. How he can try to charge people those sky high rates blows my mind. This guy is a crook.

Since then I went out and got three estimates. All three within 500.00 of each other. West was 4 times more expensive. Even under pressure don't use them

There's an old saying in plumbing - if you want something done right, don't do it yourself! The team at West Plumbing has continued to impress me as extremely knowledgeable, accessible, and professional.

For anyone who's owned or lived in a home, you know that plumbing troubles are surely to sprout up here and there. West Plumbing has helped us navigate through both basic and complex issues. From something as simple as reconnecting a toilet handle to addressing a leaking upstairs pipe. They're great at diagnosing and explaining the problem, followed by fixing it and offering creative preventative ideas for the future. One time, our shower handle broke off mid-stream and the water wouldn't turn off. It was late at night, so I had to turn the water off to the whole house. We asked a good handyman friend to come by that night, but together couldn't figure out how to pull out the handle mechanism. So, we called West. They came out the next day and fixed it in less than 30 minutes. Voilá!

Often for home repair, we'll work directly with our Home Warranty. The downside there is that you're at the mercy of whoever is contracted with that service, and the quality of the workmanship is inconsistent. While it can be cheaper to go through a warranty, or shop around on price, you run the risk of a poor job, or requiring several visits and second opinions. I trust the opinion of the West Plumbing team every time!

West Plumbing wanted to charge $575 to install a kitchen faucet. When I declined, they demanded I pay $85 for the estimate. The next day, I hired Gold Star Plumbing for the SAME project -- only $250.

Our water heater failed on Saturday afternoon. After 5 phone calls around town, James answered the phone and showed up 2 hours later. He promptly replaced the water heater and explained the maintenance process. We were back in business that evening. I would gladly recommend West Plumbing to our friends and neighbors.

The good - came out late on a Saturday night.

But don't waste your time here. I was quoted $1,050 to exchange an in warranty 50 gallon water heater. I got a 2nd quote for a verified service for my brand of water heater for $315.
