Exceptional service! I requested a quote on Yelp and immediately got a response. I called and an actual person answered and gave me the affordable quote of $68 to clear the line of my clogged kitchen sink. Even better, she happened to have an opening in less than 2 hours! Then.....she called back and informed me the tech could be out within the hour! Tech Nick arrived extremely professional and courteous. Within a matter of minutes he had properly assessed pipes under my home were safe to snake, snaked the line and unclogged my sink. Fast, professional, affordable! Best plumbing experience ever!

Be very careful. WCP quoted over $5000 for a job we got done for $550 by a different plumbing company. WCP was expensive for the same job and tried to upsell services we didn't need. Get 3 quotes.

I called on a Sunday around 6:45pm they answered.
I explained I had a waterline that broke. They came out and fixed it. Great customer service and reasonable prices I would recommend them to anyone who needs a good plumber

I truly had great communication and a great fix toy problem. My issue is not with the plumber, who was outstanding. My problem is with the billing for the job . I was told it was going to be 4 to 6 hours. The estimate was 1575 dollars. Well the parts were about 150 dollars so I paid about 1400 dollars for labor. Needless to say, the job was about an hour and 15 minutes. I was later told it was for a task and not parts an labor. I was given a 10 percent discount, that being said, 1200 dollars for labor for the time for the repair was outrageous. Again the workmanship was excellent ,but the estimate should have been readjusted. They left a bad taste with me. I'll shop around next time.

We had standing water in our relatively new dishwasher. The problem was poor plumbing and irrigation-grade cvs pipes. Not only did Jordan come out the same day, but Taj completed the job the next day. We highly recommend this company!

Had a major clog in my kitchen drainage and was a whole mess. Jordan was the one who came to help and I was really happy with the service. He was thorough, inspected things and other causes, made some recommendations for future prevention and was not too pushy with them. I was very happy with the service and will be using them again.

Had an issue with the plumbing in our toilet. Jordan was awesome! The job was bigger and more labor intensive than anticipated and Jordan stayed with the agreed upon price, no up charges. He was also very respectful of our home and the communication was great. Will definitely use again when the situation arises!

EDIT:

I wanted to clarify a few items based on the response received from the business owner:

(1) Our drain pipes are PVC. Our next door neighbor recently re-did their kitchen and bathroom and stripped everything down to the studs. Their house was built the same year as ours as part of the same development. Their entire drain and vent system is PVC. The plumbers that came to our house looked at the pipe stubs and said they could ""feel"" that the pipes were galvanized steel. But as the business admits in its response, the stubs are clearly PVC, so it's not clear what they were ""feeling."" The composition of the pipes was a primary reason the business recommended hydrojetting, so getting this fact right is important. PVC pipes don't corrode.

(2) It is true that the initial quote of $4,500 was to hydrojet the entire house. The business did provide an updated quote to just hydrojet the downstairs lines. It was around $2,500 dollars. I don't doubt that hydrojetting is incredibly effective. But it's also not the only solution for clearing a clog.

(3) The business never offered to snake the lines until I asked if that was an option. The snake they used appeared to be a 25 foot, 1/4 inch handheld snake with a drop head bulb attachment. It's possible it was battery- or drill-powered, but it was not the type of power auger typically used to clear a significant clog. Every plumber I've ever worked with in two decades of home ownership would use a 1/2 inch power snake with multiple auger attachments to clear a clog. Those types of power augers are rated for, and routinely used, to clear 2 inch drain pipes.

Again, I'm sure hydrojetting would have been an effective option, but if you're looking to have a drain unclogged for less than $2,000, I'd strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere. If you work with West Coast Plumbing, just make sure you do your own research first.

Original review:
Sadly, I could not have been more disappointed with the service. I called about a clogged kitchen sink, and the team responded promptly and scheduled an appointment for the following day. When the team arrived, I explained to them that I had previously tried to snake the drain myself with a manual pipe snake, but felt it needed something more substantial like a power auger.

The plumbers looked at the sink, and then briefly looked at the pipe going to the wall, and said that because we have galvanized steel drain pipes, it's likely that the pipes had become corroded inside and that the only way to deal with it was to hydrojet the lines. They said they could do that for around $4500.

$4500 to clear a clogged line!

As it turns out, we don't have steel drain pipes - we have PVC drain pipes. I probed on this a my the time but one of the plumbers was adamant that the drains were steel. I inspected myself after the team had left, and confirmed with our neighbors (same build/same year) that the original drains are all PVC.

I asked if they'd be willing to just professionally snake the drain since I had been weighing the cost between buying a power auger myself (~$200) or calling the plumber, and decided the plumber route would save me time. They said yes, but they doubted it would do much. They could do it for $371.

A few minutes later they found me and said they'd snaked the line twice and there'd been no improvement. I saw they'd been using a 25 foot manual pipe snake (same one I'd already told them I'd used) and I asked if they had a power auger - something with different attachments that could cut through the clog. They said they wouldn't ever use that on a pipe of this size. Hydrojetting was the only way, they said. They could do just the downstairs pipes for just over $2000.

When I protested at the idea of spending that much money they were curt and acted like I didn't fully appreciate the value of their service.

I thanked them, paid them the $371 for their 10 minutes of pipe snaking, and said I'd think about the hydrojetting for the future.

Later that day I rented a power auger from Cal West for about $50 and had the drain unclogged in 20 minutes. For those would do want to hydrojet their lines, you can rent one of those machines at Cal West for the same price.

This was a case where the company clearly wanted to sell an expensive service from the outset, and was so monomaniacally stuck on it they were not really interested in solving my immediate problem.
