Jackie M.I had a kitchen faucet and a toilet that needed to be replaced. The work was done but had a faulty Koehler faucet I bought from Home Depot. Came home to a kitchen full of water. Joe, the owner called me personally and was wonderful! They came back and replaced the faucet, put it a garbage disposal-ALL FREE of charge and he refunded me the original labor cost of $700. I would recommend them to anyone.
Leak under condo sink, asked management office for a list of plumbers, called the first one. Sent Werner-Nugent a picture of the leaking part, they said it was on the service truck, so I was pleased to think that we wouldn't be charged for a trip to pick one up. Especially since they said their rate was $120 per hour and that they would include a minimum of an hour of travel time. I figured this would cost me two hours plus the part cost. No such luck, the part was not on the truck. The plumber was nice and friendly and got the job done, but the bill was outrageous. $405 for about half an hour of work total between the initial diagnosis trip and return part replacement trip. I realize they have to stock a truck and pay for a plumber who is driving between calls and picking up parts, but that total seems excessive and downright greedy.
The next day, more water under the sink. It's not coming from the replaced part, so I assume it wasn't their fault, but I'm not about to give them another opportunity to come in and charge me another $400 (or more). Reasonable charges lead to a customer for life - this company will never be given the chance to bill me again.
Unreliable. We called about a kitchen sink that had backed up in our condo unit during the day on a Thursday. They said they would send somebody the following Friday morning, but by 1 PM we had not heard from them. At 2 PM, they called and said that they would not be able to come that day, leaving us without a plumber that day (and in a difficult scramble to find a replacement plumber that day).
I had a clogged shower drain at my condo. I called the property manager and they recommended Werner Nugent due to prior experience with them and that they would be familiar with the plumbing system in the building.
The represenative for the company arrived on time and was effective in solving the problem. I was pleased with the company until the bill arrived.
The plumber was there for an hour but on the invoice it was rounded up to 1.5hr, which at $120/hr for labor cost me an extra $60. Additionally there was a 1hr charge for transportation (which the company stated is put on all bills). Therefore, I was charged $300 in labor for 1hr of work.
Additionally, there was a $55 equipment charge when the only equipment used was a plumbing snake (no consumables were used).
Long story short, it cost me about $360 for 1 hr of work with a very old electric plumbing snake. I will not be using their services again.
