We've used Welter Plumbing in the past and twice have had the need for major sewer repair which they coordinated with expert sewer companies. The first time was when we purchased our home 24 years ago ... husband was out of town, I had the village and several companies giving me bids. Welter came out, saw the magnitude of the problem and called an expert in who had retired but knew how to fix the problem correctly and reasonably...... 24 years later after a routine rodding, Welter discovered that a utility company had tunneled through our sewer line out in the street and once again coordinated the repair with North Coast Sewer Co.
It was expertly handled .... even though the utility co. had to handle the expense for their error - it says something when they praise the people involved with handling the repair!!!!! Highly recommend and find them to be honest, reasonable and fair with their pricing. We wouldn't use anyone else.

I needed the water pressure in our old house fixed before the closing in two days. Welter came out within two hours of my call. Brian and Derek were professional, friendly and did a great job. When I asked about a second problem, they looked at it and fixed it for the price of a $15 part. Welter is definitely my go-to place for plumbing issues from now on.

Ladies don't call. Very condescending to women. We have used Welter for a number of projects in our home. They have typically done good work at a fair price. When I called to express concerns about work they were doing I was told I didn't know what I was talking about. I ended up hanging up because the gentleman was so rude.

Doubt we'll use them until they realize women make up over 50% off the workforce and we pay the bills.

I've been using Welter plumbing since 2006, and they've given me great service. Dan and his associates are nice, professional, and seem to do a good job. I have them come to do annual inspections of our sump pump, backups, and flood control system. I have also had them do occasional sewer rodding, install a backup sump pump, and unclog the occasional sink/drain.

I had a water heater situation. The one that I had went out. It was still under warranty, so all I had to do was take it out and bring it back to Home Depot. There in lies the problem. I have no idea what I am doing. So, I called around and the 1st plumber wanted nothing to do with it. He wanted $750 and said it would be a week. Then I got in touch with Dan at Welter (recommended). He explained the major cost was time. Bringing it back and dealing with HD was going to be a major pain. He quoted me about $500. Then he explained he could put in a new one for $975. The new one was much better than the piece of junk GE heater from HD.
Fast forward to the replacement, and it was great. The guys were on time, cleaned up after themselves, and were in and out. Outstanding job by Welter. And, the $975 I was quoted on the phone - Exactly $975. Not a penny more. I did initially expect there to be some extra charges.
Awesome place to do business with. I would most certainly advise to give them a call for any plumbing needs.

I used Welter Plumbing a few times and they seem knowledgeable, the owner is very good, but I've only seen him once or twice when the young ones couldn't figure out what to do. In my opinion they are very expensive, they are not upfront with the cost until you get the bill, they tend to suggest you replace other non related parts ($$$$ items), but what annoys me the most is that every time they fix something, like rodding a drain line(160) something else breaks, like the pipe they rodded, but according to them ""pipes break and crack"" (so another 180 to replace pipe that cracked during rodding). Yesterday we had them over to see why a toilet wouldn't flush...the guy suggested we replace a part ($35 part + 145 labor), then after he replaced the part he said we can't flush the toilet because after taking a look at the sump pump (located in my laundry room and seems to me like it's running fine) should be replaced and it's the reason the toilet is not flushing (could be, but of course $$$$ to replace it) This morning I went to do laundry and now I have water on the floor from somewhere( btw the sump pump works just fine)...coincidence I'm sure (and the reason for this review). Also, if you hire them for a job, ask how much everything they suggest costs, including the labor or you'll be shocked at the end. Bottom line, the owner is very good and knows pipes like no other. If you don't mind paying twice for the same job, 1st time to fix the problem and 2nd time to fix what broke the 1st time, then by all means, call them, but if you are like me and can't afford to pay a plumber twice for the same job, then call someone else who is up front with his cost and will give you warranty on his work.

We had Welter plumbing over last week to fix a problem with a toilet, had no issues and it was fixed at a reasonable price. A few days ago the chain fell off another toilet and we had to turn the water off to fix it, when we turned it back on we had a leak that would not stop. I called the next morning for service and when I explained the issue they told me it was a loose bolt and had us try to tighten it before they came out and to our surprise ( we are not the least bit handy) it worked ! I want to thank Welter for their honesty, it showed us that they are a company that can be trusted and they will not BS you into service calls or work that is not necessary. This company gets a HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ! Thank you...
