Today was the first day using Weld and Sons. We woke up to a leak in the basement and called. Dan was at our house within 40 minutes. He did a great job and was pleasant to work with. He even found another issue we were unaware of and fixed that too. Considering it was a Saturday morning and weekend pricing, the total cost was reasonable. We will for sure be using them in the future!

Excellent service - prompt, courteous, and cleaned up after repair. Was a perk that this was the first plumber I have ever hired who didn't smell of cigarette smoke :)

Weld & Sons recently sent a plumber out to install my already purchased water softener. The plumber did a great job and the price was mid-range. He even noticed a part was missing and sent his guy to get it asap. The reason I will be using them in the future is that I thought it was leaking a month later.......they came out that same day & didn't charge me an arm and a leg even though we figured out my basement was leaking, not the water softener. Thanks for being fair and for prioritizing an emergency. You guys rock.

I had an emergency leak to fix on a Friday. Called Weld & Sons first but, they had a lot of calls ahead of me and were not quite sure if they could get out today. Called another large plumbing contractor and they gave me an estimate of $800 on regular time. I told him he was out of his mind if he thought i was going to pay that. Just then Weld & Sons called and said someone could be out today but he would be on overtime. Long story short Marcus came out, fixed the leak for much less than half the cost. Great guy, great company, great service!!!

I called at 7:45 am not expecting any on to answer and they picked up after a couple of rings. I told them that I had a leak and needed an emergency repair. Tim told me he would call me back in a few minutes after he checked the schedule. He called me back and said that the best he could do was get there in the afternoon. I agreed and at 11:30 in the morning (earlier than expected) they called and said they were on the way. Marcus showed up and was great to deal with. He had to call the city to get the water turned off and fixed the problem and was out of there in about 2 hours. Great service and very clean and professional. Would recommend and use them again! Thanks much. Aaron

Weld & Sons is by far the best plumbing company that I have worked with in my 24 years of owning a home. They are honest, helpful, prompt, friendly, clean, and get the job done. They installed a water heater in my home, installed three p-traps, and replaced a pipe that was rusted out underneath my kitchen sink. Their prices were well beyond reasonable and their service from start to finish was exceptional. I have a new plumber for life and will share this with everyone I know. Thanks Weld & Sons!

Decent work but absolutely outrageous rates. These guys are the most expensive I have ever seen or worked with. I am probably a little extra irritated because of the fish symbol on the van combine with the most expensive rates . I don't think Jesus would approve of the rates boys.

I first had an urgent need for a plumber on a Friday. Then later needed to have a pedestal sink and toilet installed in a recently remodeled bathroom. Weld & Sons to the rescue!

Both times, it was Ben who rose to the occasion with timely arrival, meticulous work, thorough cleanup and very reasonable prices.

I won't go into great detail. However, I will highlight one action that I think speaks volumes about Weld & Sons values and ethics. While completing the sink/toilet work, Ben ran out of white calk. He called his office to request that someone deliver new calk tubes to my home. Because he felt it was his fault to have arrived without enough material to finish the job, he did not charge for the ~30+ minute interval while waiting to be resupplied. I suspect that there are other companies out there that would have handled this situation less transparently and with less integrity.

In any case, I highly recommend Weld & Sons for any and all of your future plumbing needs.

$272 for about an1 hour of labor. Only $10 in parts. He first drove past my house at 12:29, left with my check at 1:55. They billed me for a service call AND labor for the time allegedly spent on the call. I've never had other trades do that-- usually the service call fee is only if you don't have them do any work after they give you an estimate or it is applied towards the actual labor costs, not both. I was also billed both for the time he spent driving past my house twice. I saw him, logged the time and after the second pass I called HIM. He didn't bother to call to ask for directions. AND I was also billed for the time he spent writing up my invoice which was allegedly took another 10 minutes while sitting in his vehicle AND rounded up to the next quarter hour at $32. Besides my name and address, the date and his name, he had to write all of 15 words and three numbers. I paid it because I didn't want an altercation with the guy, and then called the office to complain. No one ever called me back to resolve. Classy. I will NEVER use them again. I also informed the real estate agent who referred me to them about what had happened. Had I noticed the Christian fish symbol buried at the bottom of their webpage, I'd have known to run. I suspect like a lot of unethical business people, they waive that around in hopes that customers will trust they are honest and ethical. And too bad for them, I just paid someone else to do a bigger plumbing job so that's about $1500 in lost revenue for them. If someone ever bothers to make this right (not holding my breath, it has been since March waiting for a response), I'd update this review. In hopes maybe someone cares, I'll wait a couple of days before posting on Facebook and start actively telling more of my neighbors and friends in the western suburbs about their business practices.

I had Ben come out and replace some copper pipes that sprung a leak. The price for the repair was reasonable and they arrived in 2 hours after I called. I am not sure if this is typical or if I was just lucky. Either way, I would use them again and recommend them to anyone needing a plumber. Way cheaper than the ""major brand"" plumbers and give you ""major brand"" service.
