I have a thick Japanese accent and have no knowledge of plumbing. Only I knew was that all sewage pipes in my apartment -- bathtab, sink, washer/dryer -- were very slow and wanted to do something about it.
The person, who answered my call, was very kind and patience. The plumber, who came to my place next day, did a good & clean job.
If you are not comfortable calling a plumber and that's stopping you to deal with your plumbing problem, I definitely recommend these people!

don't bother with the most expensive and careless plumbers in the heights. there are many good ones around. you just have to look.

Been calling this number for 3 days with no answer keep getting voicemail if your running a business how do you plan to do business if your don't answer the calls coming in!! I don't know how these other reviews got such great service when they don't even answer the phone !! it's a complete mystery !!! to me

Very happy with Weiss! Recently purchased a multi-family building, was having issue with a circulator pump on the heating system. Expected to pay a lot of money for a new pump, however, the plumber showed me that all it needed was oil. A simple and inexpensive fix after being quoted over $1,000 to replace the circulator pump by another contractor.

The Weiss plumber then performed an inspection of the system, explained how the system works and gave maintenance tips.

Very pleased with the professional service.

Horrible. Had an appointment for 11 a.m. By 12:30 no one had showed up and no one called. When I called to find out what was going on the woman who answered the phone was extremely rude and defensive. She said the earliest the plumber could get there would be 1:30, but she didn't seem to think it was necessary to call and tell me he was going to be at least 2.5 hours late. When I asked why there was such a delay the woman on the phone just kept saying ""this isn't therapy and not everyone gets 45 mins."" Unfortunately, my building contracts with Weiss so I don't really have a choice, but if you do stay away.

2 calls. Once they specifically said they'd call back in the next half hour... never heard from them. The second time someone literally picked up the phone and hung it up. Lame.

Very simple - they are 100% flakes. If you get in touch with them and speak to someone they will book an appointment, then move the appointment, then forget about you. Maryann may be a very nice lady on the phone, but she will drop you like a bad habit the second another call comes in.

I scheduled an appointment on Tuesday for a Thursday visit. I called to follow up on Thursday and she told me they were too busy with other emergencies to take care of me. She said I was on the schedule and someone would be out Friday. I called on Friday and asked for her. She never called back even on my third call in the afternoon no response.

Weiss plumbing are absolutely horrible people. The least they could do is tell those who call them that they aren't in the business of plumbing rather than pretend like they will have someone help you eventually. How hard is it to say, ""we aren't accepting any new business at this time?""

After having Weiss as our go-to plumber for over 20 years, we've given up. Unless it's an emergency situation, they just never call back. They've been responsible and have done good work, but this last time when we needed a plumber, they never returned our calls. We called three different times to schedule them to replace a sump pump. The receptionist said someone would call us back to set up an appointment, but no one ever called back. And we've been a regular customer for two decades. How many times do you have to call this business before you can get a callback? We just gave up and went elsewhere that had a higher yelp rating with dozens of 5 star reviews, not just a few - Dovis Plumbing & Heating.

I live in a self-managed 170 year-old building in the Heights and Weiss has been our plumber for at least 25 years. They know our building inside and out and take care of all of our boiler, heating and plumbing needs. HIGHLY recommended. Would never use anyone else.
