Mr. Wedgeworth took over the business from Mr. Lasitar in 1978. Lasitar had managed it for a long time and was ready to retire. Prior to the sale, Sean had worked for Mr. Lasitar for a while. For another 15 years, Sean and his spouse operated the firm. He handed over the reins to his son Curtis, often referred to as AC by many of his clients. AC and Robin operated the business until 2011 when they transferred to the Hill Country near the La Grange area. His customers were disappointed to part ways, but we were able to retain most of these wonderful customers who allowed us to serve them. I was delighted, after a diligent search, to discover an reliable plumber whose customers were so loyal to him. Denise and I have strived to create that same family atmosphere.
I hail from over three generations skilled tradespeople. I decided on plumbing as my vocation after my experience in university and the service industry. My goal was to create a business and a name that people would select and be pleased to share. Denise and I believe we have found a great team to join us. We sought individuals who enjoy serving others. We understand what we desire in a provider. That is what we strive to provide for all of our clients. The Golden Rule is our benchmark. If you give us a chance, we will surpass your requirements. If you are satisfied, consider referring us to a friend.
Appreciatively,

For changing two thermostats of two water heaters I was charged $777. I wish I could have shopped around more but the day I moved in the water heaters were not working. So had no choice but to get it done.

On January 28th, 2020 WedgEworth Plumbing turned my entire DDT's around. Looking for plumber quotes are never fun but unfortunately I had a toilet with a very slow flush that I couldn't figure out. Long story short I had a kids tooth brush taken out within minutes of the visit. After a clogged shower due to the wife's hair and that as well was taken care of within minutes. James is the plumber I had. He showed respect to myself and my home and immediately understanding about my situation. He provided different solutions and pricing very clearly and was looking out for me to save money. It wasn't cheap but you get what you pay for! It I used a cheap plumber I'd probably end up with a guy like James at the end of the day. I recommended the company and especially James. He was at my home no longer than 30-40 minutes tops. I was able to return to my day within no time.

Where to begin ! Erika was very professional on the phone and had to of given us their best plumber. Rex was OUTSTANDING. he fixed our drainage issues and also gave us a quote on redoing the piping in our attic. He goes above and beyond for his customers.

Love this company! Rex was wonderful and super helpful!! Fixed the issue with my kitchen sink in no time and gave me tons of tips to avoid future issues

this company is my go-to source for plumbing issues. their pricing is reasonable, the work is good, and they can schedule quickly (i've been able to get same-day appointments in several situations). most importantly, their plumbers are honest (props to Damondrick!); i've had some situations where the source of the problem is unclear, and rather than immediately go to the most expensive fix they're field crew has made every effort to look into cheaper options first. whenever i have a piping issue, i call wedgeworth first!

On 05/01/2019 Damondrick and TJ came over my mother's house to fix kitchen sink drainage issue, replace bathroom faucet and garbage disposal. They were professional and very friendly. We asked for senior discount for my 90 years old mother, but they did not offer this to her. The price was not cheap, but they did a good job.
We appreciated they coming out in the short notice to fix problems for my mother.

James was on time and got to work right away. He was very thorough, knowledgeable, and courteous. He was honest about what needed to be done to fix our AC drain issue and appreciated his input. If I ever need any future plumbing repairs I will definitely call Wedgeworth again.

I really appreciate your plumbers coming out in short notice to quote my job. They were very polite and professional. However....your quote was ridiculously high. I needed to replace a hot water heater and you were double/triple the price of anyone else. That includes the two plumbers I had show up after you and the quote I finally received from Lowe's. Your labor quote alone was more expensive than any gas water heater you would typically find and that's just the LABOR. As far as water heater replacement jobs go, mine was the easiest you could want. Simple disconnect/reconnect on a first floor next to the garage. I had really high hopes for you guys and was hoping I finally found my "go to" plumber in the neighborhood. I was in a bind and trying to get hot water back up and running for my family. Disappointed to say the least.
Appreciate the quick response.
I would re-evaluate the market and determine what you're "value-add" is. A labor warranty in excess of 5 years on a product that typically has a warranty of 6 to 9 years might be something to look at. Take Lowe's out of the picture... a good plumber should be able to correctly connect gas and water lines. Repair parts for a typically water heater are relatively cheap. I appreciate the labor warranty but with a superior plumber, I hope to never need it. Most plumbers in the area charge $200 to $400 to connect a new gas water heater. I would assume the difference in service is not so different to make your quote of $700 for labor truly be a "value add". Quick is never really a consideration over quality work at a reasonable price. You don't sacrifice quality for speed. At the end of the day I'm paying more for your warranty on labor which should already be done correctly the first time. In summary, your value of your work is admirable but is it something that the customer should pay double if not triple the price.... if you are doing well with this method, keep doing it and disregard my response.
Had this been a completely new install from beginning to end, I would have a different prospective on your price.

Called to get an estimate to have a system installed for a half-bath, this company is listed as "preferred installer" with the vendor of the system, woman who answered the phone stated they had an appointment available within a day. I explained what my availability was based upon my work schedule and was given a slot time of 10AM-12Noon, basic 2 hour window of arrival. I made arrangements to take the morning off from work for this appointment. The day of the appointment comes and 11:30 rolls around, no sign of anyone showing up, 11:45 same thing, I waited until approx 12:15 and called them. Same lady answered the phone that set up the appointment, I asked why their person did not show up. She asks for my address and tells me the person who was supposed to come is THE OWNER, Sean, she then says he got called out to a prior call that was an emergency, and he would "get to me as soon as he was done", I inquired how long it be, she says she will call him to find out and contact me right back. It is now an hour later, NO ONE has bothered to contact me back. Now, I am not an unreasonable person, I understand that things do happen but when you set an appointment in advance with someone they should take priority. Additionally, how hard would it have been to call, text, or email to let a waiting customer with a previously set appointment know that there was an issue? NONE of those things happened, NO ATTEMPT at communication was even initiated. If a business cannot be relied upon to provide basic communication before a job even begins, what exactly is the quality of the level of effort when actual work is performed? My experience with this business is that they were very inconsiderate of my time, as though it was worthless, and even when given the opportunity to "make it right", NOTHING was even attempted. I am grateful that I found out about their "reliability" before any actual work was in progress.

Issue - Low water pressure at shower head and faucet. James came out to my place last week and diagnosed the issue within minutes and took his time to explain it in simple terminology and then fixed it. He provided one of the best services I have received. He helped me identify other plumbing issues around the house as well. He is an excellent plumber. Make sure you ask for him !! Thank You James !!
