Like many others we ran into WC air conditioning in Costco and decided that it was time to replace our broken compressor. WC came to our house and presented a proposal to replace our air and heater with a Lennox system similar to what was displayed at Costco. We signed the contract and off they went. After reviewing the contract I realized that I really did not know what I was paying for. Just a contract with a description of the equipment and a final price but not broken down into the actual labor and parts cost.

I called the office the next day and told them I would like a more itemized bill showing the parts and labor cost. The next day I called again and again no response was received.

On the last day of the contract opt out period I drove down to the local WC office and it happened that the office manager was there. I sat down in his office and told him to either provide an itemized cost or cancel the contract. His response was to cancel the contract!!

I think that says it all right there when a business refuses to provide a reasonable accounting of what they are charging you for and would rather cancel the sale than to do so.

I'm sure they do good work but they sure don't want to share any finance information even though you are paying the bill.

Anyway the next day I contacted a local family owned heating and Air conditioning business and got a quote for the same Lennox system but a slightly better compressor and found their pricing to be significantly less. They did a great installation and we have had no problems.

I guess the bottom line is that you don't always get the best deal at Costco and it pays to get another estimate. We learned our lesson here!

I have been a maintenance contract customer of We Care or the last 10 years, which is as long as I've owned my home, so I've watched them grow. I have always had superb service. And as my heating system grew older, the technicians were always honest with me as to their longevity and helped me maximize that longevity. Honestly for the last two years every time i turned either the heat or the a/c on, I'd be praying as i did it. Today, the WC team installed a new furnace and a/c. My decision to do so was not at all based on a pressured sale, which I certainly appreciated. I had already decided it was time, and I did not want to wait till the dead of winter or the hottest of summer days for it to die. Darren was extremely professional when helping me choose the equipment right for my home. The rep doing the measurements for Edison was extremely thorough and polite, and I cannot say enough good things about the installation team. All three of them were courteous and professional, and it was evident they all knew what they were doing. They also walked the extra mile to ensure the second/new air return was placed in an area satisfactory to me...and it took a lot of work on their part to do it because of how my beams are situated. The system was thoroughly tested before they left to the point where I felt comfortable with a new thermostat (I'm such a dinosaur with technology sometimes), and I appreciated their tolerance for my anxiety about new stuff. I feel like I got the best system for my home and for my needs at the best price. A new furnace and a/c is a huge investment, and I felt totally comfortable putting the job in WC's hands because of the outstanding experience I've had over the last 10 years.

We recently installed a new ac unit and zone air conditioning in our home. Our system is now much more efficient. Services were done quickly and we are very happy! Worth every penny! Thanks to Darren Faught, a great technician.

Central air blower leaked water damaging the ceiling. We called We Care and they arrived the same day, and they completed the quoted work. We also signed up for their maintenance plan.

The next day the ceiling was soaked again. The AC had leaked again.

We called We Care back. They came out that same day and found that the drain pan had a small crack which caused the water damage. They estimated that the repairs would be hundreds of dollars and recommended replacing everything for several thousand dollars.

We left a negative review, and We Care responded quickly to our concerns, discounting the pan replacement by 50% because they had missed the cracked pan on the first visit.

The pan replacement took weeks because the part needed to be ordered. We had to leave town and we had a relative watch the house and wait. We Care missed that appointment and rescheduled twice. We ended up returning to town for the repairs.

The replacement was necessary and the tech did a good job explaining everything.

About a month and a half later the AC was not cooling, so we called We Care.

They received our call on Saturday and scheduled us for Monday between 3 and 7.

We called all day long (several times) confirming the appointment, but after 8:45 We Care said all their techs were on jobs and the closest one was about 50 miles away.

We decided that since they missed their appointment, for which we took off time from work and waited in a home that was in the high 90s as it was in the 100s all day, we would not ask their tech to work on our home in the night. I imagine he/she could not have made it in less than an hour, which would have made the tech work delayed to almost 10 at night.

Their call center is very polite and friendly, and their tech (over the several visits for the initial problem) is very professional.

I cannot give this company more business, because we have been stood up on more than one occasion during a SCHEDULED repair visit. I understand that things come up, and that it is their busy season, but when a person waits all day (more than once) for someone to come, they'd better A: be on time, B: call and cancel, or C: be prepared to lose business to someone more reliable.


Because of their verbal professionalism, and their desire to work with us, I will not give an F rating, but they will earn a D in several categories, and a C overall.

I don't think that We Care does care because they didn't care to keep appointments that they scheduled.

We gave this company a second chance to make up for a bad service call 2 years ago. We were scheduled to have a service call today 1200-1600. We were told we would be called the night before to confirm the apt and then would receive a call the day of the apt when the technician was on their way. Neither happened. We understand that things happen and people run behind, but there was no communication that this was happening. We put our lives on hold for 4 hours for nothing. We have cancelled our service contract with this company and are taking our business elsewhere.

They provided us with great service but they definitely weren't cheap and also tried to up sell us on almost everything. Could all of the items be true? Possibly. But just know that they will up sell you.

My overall cost was $1007 for 17 registers and $210 for the ESM. One of my pet peeves is when they say, ""Typically (whatever they are up selling) is $380 but today you can buy it for $222."" Seriously -- 3 of their products just happened to be $222. I can't help but think that some of these numbers were made up on the spot. Therefore, I'll give them 3.5 stars.
