We Can Do It Plumbing

Submitting another review for We Can Do It Plumbing and Carbo because I've used their services for THREE more jobs since my first review about a month ago. Two of these jobs were planned (installing a washer-dryer unit in our in-law unit and snaking our bathroom sink) and one was unplanned (found a significant leak in one of our sewer pipes) and had to get it fixed ASAP.

With this review I'll talk mostly about the third, unplanned job. Carbo was able to come out, diagnose the problem, and fix the issue all in a very timely manner. (I'm glad I had already worked with Carbo and knew who to call when we discovered the issue). We ended up having to replace a decent amount of that sewer pipe (going from below our main bathroom toilet, into our crawlspace, and back out the side of our house) with new ABS pipe. I was particularly impressed with how Carbo was able to maneuver and get the job done because most of the area in question was in our crawlspace and other hard-to-reach areas. I always thought our crawlspace was gnarly but Carbo informed me they've seen much worse. Throughout, Carbo was very communicative about the whole process and also very non-intrusive on our house as we went on with our day. Our dog has become very good friends with Carbo! Carbo even followed up to make sure the job was stable and that there were no additional issues.

Everything about We Can Do It Plumbing from my first review still stands so please refer to that one for my additional thoughts. Quality work at very reasonable prices. I am glad my wife and I have found our go-to-plumber in Oakland!

Carbo was awesome. Based on my description of what was happening, they estimated it would be a half-day project, tearing some holes and replacing burst pipes. But when they arrived, they ran a couple of diagnostics that showed the real cause was a 15 minute fix! Their honesty and depth of knowledge saved me literally hundreds of dollars. I was so impressed by their work that I had them come back a few days later to work on two other nagging problems.

Hooray! I have a plumber! They were recommended to me by another plumber. I texted Carbo, they came out the first day that worked with my schedule. They fixed what needed fixing and explained a bunch of stuff/options to me in regards to future work. A+++. Absolutely recommend!

We had a clogged and leaking sink. I was able to get an accurate quote through photos/video in advance, Carbo showed up right on time and when she had to get a part, she got an extra one for the other side that would eventually wear out and showed me how to do it myself! So refreshing, as a woman, not to worry I was getting scammed by a service provider and to feel empowered to do something myself if I chose to. Highly recommend!

Carbo has helped us out with a number of sump pump issues in our basement (winter 2022-23 has been soggy as heck). They are extremely responsive and very easy to schedule with. Once on site, Carbo worked hard to help diagnose our issues and offered multiple options at different price points for moving forward. They are extremely knowledgeable and generous with their time and information. In addition to the specific sump pump issues they were at our place to correct, Carbo answered all my questions and offered information and advice on other plumbing related stuff in our house. I am extremely grateful to have found Carbo and can't recommend them enough!

We had a large leak springing from our main drainage pipe into our crawl space (and seeping into our basement) and Carbo came out quickly and got right to work. They toiled thru the day and wouldn't leave until the job was done, even though it took until 9pm to complete. I was afraid to see the price after all that labor, but the invoice was very reasonable and I would hire them again in a heartbeat. Plus they shop vac'ed the dirt up at the end! Great service.

My bathtub faucet was both leaky and the hot was almost impossible to turn off. Carbo was excellent: quick to schedule, prompt, clear and explained things well. They also found a more serious problem (stripped threads inside the pipes) that would have been MAJOR EXPENSE had it gone on much longer. They cut the wall and replaced all the piping and fixtures in a jiffy.

I am happy to take baths again and cannot recommend them highly enough.

Our basement space got filled with water due to a clogged/corroded pipe, the sump pump then broke due to this, and the crawl space flooded and it caused the water heater to break. Carbo came out on short notice and quickly fixed the pipe, sump pump, and water heater. Carbo was extremely professional, thorough, clearly communicated about the repairs, and was a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend Carbo to everyone I know!

I had tried to fix our dripping shower a few times, but when that failed, I asked around for a plumber recommendation and got Carbo. Carbo both tightened all the fixers to resolve the drip, and also recommended an adjustment to our water pressure in order to help prevent future drips.

I especially appreciate that Carbo took time to explain how everything works and the pros and cons of recommended improvements I could make in the future.

Carbo replaced the kitchen sink and faucet at a place I lived in a few years ago and has since done plumbing work for many friends and folks in my community. They recently installed a hot water recirculating pump at a friend's house (in the photo!) They are an excellent and knowledgeable plumber!
