I had a tub that needed to be replaced and walls redone. They took it down to the studs and did the job the right way! I LOVE my new bathroom! They also remodeled my kitchen. I had a budget that I needed to stay within and they worked with me on making sure we were on budget. Again, they were very timely, courteous, clean up each day and very professional! I had used them for a small repair job in my condo a few years ago, so when I bought a house and needed a new bathtub before our move, I called them for a quote
Two weeks later and still in an empty house, waited for over 2 1/2 hours today before receiving a call saying this dude was not showing up. TJ only goes out to do this on Tuesday and was given a time frame of 2-5 pm. I had explained the urgency of quote over 2 weeks ago as this is preventing our move. How very unprofessional!
I was then put on an extended hold while the admin tried to find TJ and listened to their advertising just how wonderful and reliable they are... this was good for a sarcastic chuckle.
If he can't even be bothered to honor his set appointments and this is the way they conduct their business, that is their business but will never get mine again.

Very unprofessional. Came to give me quote to do my kitchen floor and spent 5 minutes at my home. And then told in quote my subfloor was bad when they did even look at it. All they wanted to is scam me and talk down to me and my 79 year old father. They should be ashamed of themselves. Do not hire then to any work. Just so everyone knows I had three other contractors out for floor quote and they said my kitchen floor is thick enough to install vinyl tiles over vinyl floor. Sounds to me company did not want job and didn't care how he acted around potential customer. I will make sure home advisor knows how contractor acted. This is an update. Had building inspector come to home to check floors for new kitchen floor installation. Building inspector stated wood on my floors over 1 inch think and contractor who came to home knew absolutely nothing and did not bother to check floors before giving estimate for work. Building inspector stated same thing anyone who hires this contractor deserves to be ripped off.

Our water heater sprung a slow leak and needed to be repaired. We got quotes for installing a new unit (bought it ourselves), and the cheapest one we found was $500. Called WB Dickenson and they explained that they bill in 15 minute increments. Zach, who was knowledgable and nice, came out and installed the new unit for less than 1/2 the next lowest quote, including parts and labor. Unit works fine and Zach did not leave a mess. Long story short: Will call these guys again when we need plumbing help.

My heat pipes froze in the middle of the night on a Saturday a few weeks ago during a cold stretch. I was panicked and started looking up plumbers that offered 24 hour emergency service. WB Dickenson was the ONLY plumber that advertised 24 hour emergency service to actually return my call and come out promptly. (Just goes to show you the bigger outfits that advertise on TV with a catchy jingle are not all they are cracked up to be). Everyone involved was very friendly, helpful, and most of all, fixed my frozen heat pipes to prevent an even bigger disaster. I found them to be very honest and fair. I was kept informed during the entire pipe thawing process. I would definitely use them again, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for plumbing help.

Tom McLaughlin gave me a lot of information regarding boiler choices and a good price for our new Crown boiler. Ty, the installer, did a great job installing the new boiler and taking away the old one. We are extremely happy with WB Dickenson and plan to use them for service for many years.

Please do not attempt to do business with this WB Dickenson Plumbing; their business practices are sloppy and completely unethical.

I woke up one morning to a plumbing issue. Based on a recommendation, and the fact that they are 11 miles from my house, I called WB Dickenson Plumbing. Their earliest availability was late in the evening. Out of necessity, I made the appointment. As my plumbing issue became worse during the day, I simply couldn't wait for them to get here, so I attempted to fix it myself... and I was successful!

So, I called WB Dickenson and canceled the appointment because I didn't need them anymore.

Several hours later, they arrived at my house. I told them that I had called earlier and canceled the appointment, so they apologized for the confusion and went on the next appointment on their list.

A few weeks later, they sent a bill for their service. I called and explained that since no service was rendered, I didn't think it fair to bill me since I had canceled the appointment six hours before they arrived. They agreed and said I should consider the bill canceled. I think that's a proper outcome and at this point I would recommend them to anyone who asked.

A few weeks after that, they sent a second bill! Once again I called but this time they claimed to have no knowledge of canceling the bill and said that if I didn't pay immediately, they would forward my information to their collections company. This was a very uncomfortable conversation that mostly consisted of them threatening me if I didn't pay them via credit card immediately. After the lengthy conversation, I'm upset to say that I caved in and gave them my credit card number over the phone.

I feel that this experience speaks volumes about the ethics and business practices of this company. I do NOT recommend them. They appear to be inept at managing their workflow and they are not at all reasonable people. Next time, I'll look at Yelp for reviews because clearly there are better neighborhood plumbers out there.

We first contacted WB Dickenson due to our shower leaking. Another company had told us that the entire shower needed to be replaced so we called WB Dickenson for an estimate. Their estimate was lower so we went with them. TJ showed up with two other guys ready to do a $4000 job. Instead he said he suspected he could fix the problem without a major remodel. We ended up paying $250 (mostly for the time spent by three guys). Thanks to TJ's honesty, he's got a customer for life. A few years back he replaced our 40+ year old heater/hot water unit. He's also been by to install a bathroom vanity and to service our washing machine. I hVe given their name out many times and am a very happy customer!

I have used them for almost 20 years and, while not perfect, have always found them honest and knowledgeable. Owner is always quick to think of a cheaper alternative. I've also found them fairly reasonable.
