Had a service call in July 2023 for sump pump issue. Wayne was unavailable and sent his son to investigate. He called his dad to video chat his way through the repair. Turns out, he says a simple repair ""just a metal clasp that snapped off"" and he had a spare one on his truck. Nearly $300 later for a 10-minute job. Service call plus minimum of an hour but he gave me a break on the part he had in his truck and didn't charge for that. Fast forward to Sunday, 4/14/24. My basement totally flooded. New plumber looked at the work and said, ""I never would have repaired the way he did"". It should be noted, his son isn't a licensed plumber, because I asked him. I tried to talk to Wayne about the issue and he became very defensive and argumentative and said he wasn't going to discuss it as he was in Florida on vacation. Now, I have a $10,000 plus estimate for basement clean up and repairs. Needless to say, I have a new sump pump and a new plumber. Wayne did try to call me back but based on our initial conversation, he's not going to admit any liability. I guess that's what attorneys are for.
David F.Quite expensive hourly rate. Thankfully the master plumber came both days to help the apprentice plumber. I got the same apprentice both days. The job consisted of a toilet leak, and a new faucet installation - which I have provided. Time was not on their side the first day, nor mine due to the toilet job being bigger than anticipated. The apprentice plumber needed to consult the master plumber each day by phone- which caused the master plumber having to come to the site for consultation. Also, there were visits to the local home store - each day for supplies. They thought they had the materials they needed but did not (time is money). That applied more to the second day than the first.
After two hours to install a faucet on the second day, I was charged the $90 ""Service Fee."" When I questioned the charge, the initial plumber's ""helper"" stated, ""Yeah, we have to charge that unfortunately."" I thought the fee should have been waved, all things considered. They did, however, wave the credit card fee the second day.
And not for nothing on the second day, the apprentice plumber used my drill, drill goose neck extensions - because he was stripping the Phillips head screws for the pedestal sink (I had to stop him from doing so), bath towels (he could not stop the leak from the downstairs sink once the water was shut off), paper towels and a razor blade.
Tracie K.I needed someone to disconnect my gas stove and put a cap on a gas line. They said $99 service fee plus $150/hour. I figured it would maybe take him 15 minutes. It took five. He handed me an invoice for $278. I would have happily paid $137.50 or even $150 but this was insane and unfair gouging.
Highly Recommend Wayne and Jeff from Wayne's Plumbing. They were on time, courteous, kind, hard working, knowledgeable and efficient. Our hot water tank started dripping when I was 39 weeks pregnant. Challenging when you are planning a Home water birth a and could go into labor at anytime. I am so grateful for their skill, knowledge and ability to efficiently replace our water heater. They also came in masks ready to get to work ! Even though it was a tight fit under our old basement stairs they made quick work of it and had the old out and the new in in less than 10 minutes. I can't recommend them enough. Please give them a call today to help with any of your plumbing needs.
Ashley D.3 hours from the first call to end of service. These guys were at my house, picked up our new water heater from Home Depot, had it installed, took the old one, were paid and left. Super professional and efficient. They were knowledgable about being up to code and did everything as it should have been done. Would use again and recommend to others.
Do not recommend. Had an issue with a hot water heater he installed and his response was that he could not help me. I had to call the manufacturer myself. Therefore, I suggest he is unreliable and I wouldn't take a chance on him for any service.
Wayne's Plumbing supplied and installed a water heater for my two family rental. I live out of town so all coordinating was done on the phone or through text. Wayne was very responsive and focused on meeting my needs. His crew should up on time, were efficient and got the water heater properly installed. He upgraded the exhaust pipe from 3"" to 4"" to meet code. The previous plumber did not do this even though it has been code for quite some time. Took credit card for payment. I will call Wayne again for my next plumbing need.
Dana H.I had a new hot water heater installed today. Wayne was in touch with me from the moment I called with the issue, up until the install. He kept me informed when he knew his guys would be a little late. His team are professional, clean, and respectful. They did a great job, i am very happy.
I called the owner (Wayne?) regarding a kitchen faucet that needed replacement after the old one broke. He came off a little odd on the phone but I'll give him 1 star for addressing me with a ""Sir"" on the phone. We agreed upon him coming by our place 2 days later but asked me to call him in the morning to confirm, which was a bit weird. So I called him on the morning that he was supposed to come by, he answered the phone and said that he'd swing by after lunch. So I took a half day off from work so I could be home for the plumber to arrive.
I waited, and then I waited some more. Finally, I tried calling him, and he didn't answer so I left him a message. A couple of hours later, I called again and he didn't answer yet again. Ultimately, he never showed up, nor did he have the decency to call to apologize for running late/not being able to make it. I am normally a very easy going person, and I understand that sometimes things come up and that people might end up running late or not being able to make it to an appointment. But the one thing I absolutely cannot tolerate is someone being a flake and completely disrespectful of their customer's time. It's 2015. It takes a second to call or text and apologize if you are unable to keep an appointment. It's not rocket science, it's basic human decency and the owner of this business failed at it... miserably.
If you value your time, and expect common courtesy from a plumber, you're better off looking elsewhere. The upside of this entire experience was that it got me so riled up that I ended up just purchasing a couple of tools and doing the reinstall myself. So I'll give this service another star for forcing me to learn to fish.
My experience with ""Wayne's Plumbing & Heating"" was ""not good."" When we initially spoke, I requested a 30-gal water heater (I live alone, have only a shower, and no dishwasher or washing machine) and asked that it be an Energy Star. The one he put in was a 40-gal and was not an Energy Star. While his employee did all the work, (except carrying the unit inside) Wayne talked on his cellphone from my front porch. (I was still charged for 2 men...maybe this is common practice?) 15 minutes after they had left, the unit began dripping hot water. His co-worker returned to put on a pressure release something-or-other and charged me another $155 labor. Okay. At least I have a working hot water heater--but no warrantee! I have called Wayne three times for this reason and even told the helper-person when he came back here. Wayne has purposefully ignorred my calls. To add insult to injury, my hot water now has a rotten egg smell and leaves black stains in my sink. (My cold water is fine/odorless) I'm not saying Wayne is a bad plumber, but I do think he sold me a piece of crap-- and there's not a darn thing I can do about it. Buyer beware.
