On a cold December night, the pilot light in my gas boiler went out. I tried to light it myself, but just couldn't get it to light no matter what I did.

A plumber friend of mine looked at it and even he couldn't light it. I called Wayne -- he quickly diagnosed the problem -- replaced a faulty part -- and I have heat again. His price was very reasonable and Wayne was very professional.

Wayne was fantastic. At 7:30 AM, I called him to make an appointment to fix our toilet today. He was pleasant and responsive, offered to come between 11 and 1, and proactively mentioned that he charges $75 just for the visit, but that it would go towards the cost of the service. At around noon, he called to give a heads-up that he was headed over. Once he arrived, he was pleasant, very genial, and had an easy laugh. Gives you the sense that he can solve your problem. After he quickly fixed our toilet, we asked him to look at a problem with our dishwasher (which he promptly fixed by screwing in some pipes under the kitchen sink), and then asked him to check on our boiler (which, again, he did without a fuss). He didn't seem rushed, and wasn't annoyed by our additional requests. And to top it off, he only charged us $150, which felt very reasonable to me, based on some of the preliminary research I did online. It's a comfort knowing that I found a great plumber for when I need one in the future!

I was stood up by my long-standing plumber, needed to replace old gas cut-off valves in order to install a new range. Thanks to Yelp, I called Mr. Clarke. He had a window of time where he could help us, arrived promptly and was professional, courteous and all around terrific to work with. And his prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend.

Installing a new toilet fill valve and flapper, the stop valve of our 100+ year old house snapped off and I had to shut the water off at the main lest the entire basement flood.

With water still streaming from the broken valve at a steady pace, Aladdin couldn't come until the next day; Vigilante wouldn't be available for upwards of 6-hours, charging $200 for the service call plus the cost of the repair.

Desperate, I turned to Yelp and found Wayne.

After advising me over the phone on how to stop the stream from the valve (open up a faucet, any faucet, to drain residual water from the pipes), Wayne and an assistant arrived within 90-minutes of my call. They assessed what needed to be repaired, went out and got the part, and fixed everything better than new.

He even checked a similar install I had done a few days prior in another bathroom, noticed where I had made a misstep, and fixed it.

A fix within hours, for less than $100.

Affable, kind, courteous, and gentle on a well-intentioned DIYer who got in over his head ...

I called Wayne yesterday afternoon for a kitchen faucet that was leaking quite badly. He came out today and fixed it. He also raised the water level on my toilet. All in about 30 minutes. And he charged a very reasonable price. I was going to be waiting for days for the plumbers who put the faucet in to come out and fix it. So glad that I called Wayne instead.

Found Wayne here on yelp after my kitchen sink clogged, then fell apart when I tried to fix it myself. The pipes were old and brittle and as soon as I started trying to do anything they just tore apart. It was a stinky mess!

He came out in less than 2 hours after I called him even though it was a Sunday, and charged a totally fair price. Very personable, nice guy, and he did a fantastic job. The underside of my sink has never looked so good!
