WaterWork Plumbing
Company Overview
WaterWork Plumbing was established in 2006, operating with only one truck. As we have grown, we have added sixteen additional fully-equipped trucks to our fleet. We have a team of experts ready to meet all your plumbing needs across the Metro Detroit area. Recognizing the importance of quick responses to plumbing emergencies, our highly-trained team is on call around the clock. We address urgent repairs and provide prompt replacements and efficient installations for commercial, industrial, and residential properties. Regular training for our staff keeps us updated on the latest plumbing technologies and ensures we use top-notch tools and methods for quality outcomes.
Initially, master plumber David Greylen launched WaterWork as a side project in 2006. Eventually, a pivotal decision had to be made. David could no longer balance his job with his previous employer while managing the rapid growth of WaterWork. Through dedication and effort, David made a bold choice, and WaterWork has emerged as a promising company. We now have a team of 21 and are planning for further growth. Beyond our commitment to quality service and workmanship, we aim to be a cornerstone of our community for many years. We possess the capacity to handle any plumbing need while maintaining a personal touch that reflects the service we would want for ourselves.
Thanks for reaching out. My name is David, and I am a licensed Master Plumber with over 20 years of experience. I take great pleasure in offering personalized customer service to my clients. I feel honored to be invited into your homes and businesses. It brings me joy to know that our craftsmanship can brighten someone's day.

Karen Y.Arnie from WaterWork Plumbing is the best! Our sump drain was not draining. Water just came out of overflow pipe onto the yard on the side of the house. Called several local plumbers. Either no one answered phone, or didn't want to deal with sump drain outside. WaterWork got a plumber (Arnie) out within two hours. Arnie arrived in company uniform, and a clean van, very professional! He wasted no time, checked out the situation quickly, gave me clear explanation what we could expect and what could be our options, all in professional and friendly manner, even with a few jokes thrown in. Then he went to work, snaking the drain. Again, he wasted no time and just non-stop working, even when he was explaining things to me while doing it. His work ethic and experience showed through how he did his work. You can tell he is someone takes pride in his work. After almost two hours, snaking the drain three times with different attachments and camera inspection twice, we saw how different the inside of the drain looked like through the process. It was awesome! Again, Arnie is the best. I would definitely want to have him for all future plumbing work. I would give him 6 stars if that was an option :)
Chris came out to our house to fix PVC piping for sump pump on outside of house and maintenance on two toilets. Very professional, did inside work first to not get dirt in house. I would not hesitate to use them again. Very pleased with service
timothy m.Waterwork Plumbing installed a sink for my business, I found their price reasonable and their work exceptional. Especially impressed with the technician that had to think on his feet to make the hardware work in our space. Very pleased and will hire again.
Update 05/16 10am:
What initially caused my frustration was the lack of communication regarding the quote as a ""worse case scenario"" and then the final bill is $240 higher than initial quote.
My frustration now is about how the office handled this situation. They made me an offer of $100 to remove the reviews immediately, I thought about it and what is $100 to me may save other people a ton more money by choosing a more honest business.
And the statement is correct, let's agree to disagree. I disagree in how you think it's ok to mislead a customer, and disagree in how you handled the situation.
Readers will judge this on their own, regardless of what happened - name calling a customer in a chat is beyond unprofessional.
Judge for yourself!

This is unfortunate - I'm not sure how to add to my previous review... but I want the general public to be aware of the follow-up conversation I had with WaterWork Plumbing.
Decide for yourself if this is a type of business you want to trust paying top dollar for 'professionalism'?
See photos attached for our conversation recap regarding two phone calls I had with their office.
**** BELOW IS MY ORIGINAL REVIEW
Be very cautious if having to use this business and get the costs upfront and check with the plumber along the way. Unless you have a blank check you'd like to write.... They will give you an estimate at the beginning of work that is communicated to you as a ""worst case scenario"" and then present you with a bill that is much higher. This just happened to me and the final bill was much higher without running into anything that we weren't anticipating. All straight forward so you'd expect the bill to be, no certainly not. On top of that, added 5% fee for credit card. Called their office, certainly no help from there either - not even a dollar which was besides the point, the point is how you go about doing business.
I usually use Cregger Plumbing in Ferndale and should have stuck with them, they'd never conduct business this way.
Was seriously concerned about a water stain on my kitchen ceiling, wracked my brain with all the possibilities that may happen, having to take out a loan because I couldn't afford the service, etc. I'm a single woman who owns her home and has lost income due to COVID, so I was STRESSED.
Don showed me exactly what was happening/what the problem was, and it only cost me $152....not the thousands I had imagined.
Also he loved on my dog, not a plumbers job, but definitely a bonus! And he was so kind! I would definitely recommend (will update if I have any issues, but so far their high rating is definitely representative of their work!)
We needed a plumber when another plumber didn't have the equipment to take care of our sewer backing up. Brian arrived within an hour of our call. He asked a lot of questions and inspected a number of issues before he set to work. He even used a tarp to cover where he worked. Our drains are working better than ever and I will not hesitate to call them again! Very satisfied!
We had an issue with the temperature control valve in our shower, so I called WaterWork plumbing on a Friday at ~4 PM. A master plumber (Arnie) was there working on it at 9 AM the very next day. You can't ask for a faster turnaround than that!
The job ended up being much bigger than expected, but I am confident that it was fixed properly.
There were a few other small problems (dripping faucet) that were fixed while he was here.
The whole project took ~4 hours, and I was very satisfied with the price.
WaterWork is the premier plumbing company in the area, and I will definitely choose them again for my next plumbing needs!
Definitely worth all 5-stars.
Great job by John. We had 2 sink pop up stoppers to be fixed and a sump pump to be checked.
The universal pop up I had did not work so he a reasonable option with his own parts in his truck.
Again commendable, professional work and attitude

Paid 342$ for a job that did not bring any results. They snaked the WRONG way and came out my roof vent, which I was billed for. After the snake was on top of my roof for over an hour my 11 year old came in and told the plumber who had to go outside and untangle it. The next day my roof began leaking. I called and they decided it had nothing to do with what had happened. The part of the roof that was damaged has been replaced in the past few years, through my insurance company so there is proof. Whoever answers the phone just told me that they already decided that they weren't responsible and they were fine with seeing me in court. It's unfortunate that it will have to be handled that way. So much unnecessary hassle because they refuse to take responsibility.
We (my husband and I) called this company because we needed a couple of strong men to lift an extremely large (and old- 26 yrs?) from the basement to the curb. A lady I spoke with told me they could do it but it would be $144/hr or $288/hr for two men. I told her ok and she had two men show up the morning we scheduled for. They were able to get this super heavy item to the curb in about 1/2 hr. The men were polite during the entire time. The only reason I'm giving them 3 stars is because they wanted $288 for the 1/2 hr. I asked him why, and he said they don't prorate for the 1st hr. I told him that the lady I spoke with did not relay this information to me when scheduling the appt and going over the fee. I feel that information would have been very helpful. So when I went to write the check for their services, rather than writing it for $144.00 I had to write it for $288.00. Make sure if your job is less than an hour that you know they do not prorate for that time.
