Scammers. $7 ""late fee"" for a payment that was mailed 10 miles away five days early. $2.50 online payment fee is assessed and disclosed only after filling out your life story on the payment page and hitting ""continue"". And rates are multiple times higher than any county bill we've ever gotten here.

We will actively ask future housing companies if they use these con artists before we sign a lease. I'll be glad when I never have to give them another cent. Avoid this company like the plague that it is.

Our development in Peekskill NY uses Waterwatch to bill for our water usage. Their rates are astronomical, their customer service is practically non-existent, and their late fees are also astronomical ($7.00 for a $32.00 bill). The community cannot get a straight answer as to why we need a submetering company that is sub-par and expensive. My next call will be to the State Department of Utilities to help make that determination- 1-800-342-3377 and to make a complaint.

Just moved to an apartment complex in Greece, NY from a private home in Irondequoit, NY. This complex uses Water Watch, my water bill went from on average $35.00 a quarter to $17-$25 a month! I paid my bills the day they arrive or the day after. today I get a threating letter from the management company that my last bill which I did not receive is over due and they are going to add it into my rent. NY State please regulate these crooks!

This seems like a very shady system. My apartment complex uses this company for us to pay our water bills. Our first month, they charge a fee to ""set up the account."" Why am I paying for you to set up an account? Isn't that the point of your service? Then, our water bills are 3x as expensive as anywhere else near us. It's ridiculous. Then, they charge you a fee to pay your own bill. Wait... what? Yes. YOU HAVE TO PAY A FEE TO PAY YOUR BILL. It's 2.50 per month, which equals $30 per year, just to pay your own bill. Seems like a scam, and when I called, they said that the price we pay is normal. But when I asked the lady what SHE pays for water, she admitted that she has a household of 7 and her bill is 1/3 what we pay for month. Seriously!?! We have a smaller household, we HAVE to use less water, we don't take excessive showers, or run water utilities that much. I would prefer to not work with this company at all. Also, their own website claims they read meters ""through various techniques."" Like what.... guessing?

Water Watch Corporation is corrupt! They do not read the water meter for my apartment. They charge me for the same number of units every month, 2000 units! I work forty hours per week and live alone. Even with showering every day and running the dishwasher once a week, I do not use that much water. They are stealing hard earned money from me. I'm sure the apartment complex gets a cut of their profits since my complaints to them falls on deaf ears. I have filed a grievance with the State Department of Utilities. They should not be allowed to scam people the way are scamming the residents of this apartment complex.

This company is a complete rip off. Their prices are out of this world. We used to live on a 1.5 acre lot and paid less than 75% of what we are paying in this apartment for water. There are far too many ""flat rates"" included in their rates. There's a water flat, sewer flat, and a base charge on top of what you use for water. This just seems out of this world. We are in a 1 bedroom apartment and our monthly bill is $51 and up. DO NOT USE THEM unless you want to be broke just off the water bill.

agree with above my bill used to be $20 or $30 per month. ever since they take over bill goes to$80/per month. and bill date every 10 or 20 days and charge you late fee even though we never receive the 10th date statement. something is wrong for this company.....

Shady characters. Awful ""customer service"". Bordering on criminal, actually......

Waterwatch ""manages"" the water/sewer bills for my apartment community, and two months ago, everyone was SHOCKED to open their bills and they were much larger than usual. Was someone breaking in during the day and running water for no reason? No. There was a note printed on the bill that read ""this month's bill reflects your new billing rate"" (or something like that).

WELL, there was no advance warning of this, no notice of what the ""new billing rate"" was, and no one at the State's department of utilities was informed of this. Calls to Waterwatch end in a complete runaround....

Screw you, WW. You'll get yours... it's one nasty thing to screw people, but when you mess with Public Utility laws, that's another.
