First off, they answered the phone on the first ring every time I called. When your hot water heater is leaking all over the place, you're really not in the mood to leave a message.

They sent out John A. to give me a free estimate. It all seemed clear. Much to my surprise, he began work immediately after I accepted the estimate. He was done a few hours later. It has been over a week (installed on 1/12/17), and everything works great.

I hope I don't need their services again for a long while, but I'd recommend them to anyone else.

I called Paul from Water Heaters Only, as I had a problem lighting the boiler. I had tried at least 6 times. Paul explained that the technique I was using was slightly incorrect and I needed to keep firing the ignition button while holding down the gas button. It eventually worked. So a very big thank you to Paul, I might have got charged a call out fee from another company. Paul sorted my problem over the phone. Certainly if I need my water heater replaced I will call this company. They also answer the phone very quickly. Thank-you.

My water heater was visibly corroded and at risk of exploding. These guys gave me a better quote by far than others I contacted and were knowledgeable about San Francisco's special code requirements.

I honestly thought Steve was great; he came out on Jan. 4 promptly as scheduled, and gave me very helpful criteria to help decide the best size for me, then had my new water heater installed quickly and easily, and nicely strapped to the wall for earthquake protection.

Nice guy and a great job.

I was already planning to give them 5 stars entirely without their review encouragement program (which does kinda trouble me ..... but these are my 100% sincere comments.)

Joseph, the Owner of the business communicated with me back and forth answering my questions. We scheduled a time for Martin to stop by to give me a free estimate. He arrived on time and proceeded to explain to me what the job of installing a new Water Heater entitled.

The price was reasonable in comparison of other companies. He proceeded to to the job, finished in less than 3 hours this is for a Heater located in the attic of my house. Martin provided tips in how to to make sure that the Water Heater last for a long time and in how to deal with Insurance companies more efficiently.

Both, Joseph and Martin were professional, cordial and efficient. I would highly recommended this company to any one needing help with Water Heaters repair or Replacement. Great Job !

I came home early from work at 3:30 as we were having about 20 people over for our annual Christmas get together at 5 pm. I walk in the door and my wife says our son just took a shower and there was no hot water..... I did a quick look at our old water heater and the pilot light wasn't coming on so I did a search on my phone and came across Water Heaters Only. Their Yelp reviews were good so I gave them a call at about 4 pm. The person was very nice and asked me a few questions about size of tank we would need, etc. and then asked when I would like it installed. I explained that we were about to have a party and half jokingly asked ""do you have any openings this afternoon?"" He said hold on for a minute and let me check. He gets back on the line and says I can have a tech out to your house in 1 hour. The technician Toa got to my house by 5 pm and had it installed in 2 hrs. He did a fantastic job and even made some additional piping upgrades for the the supply and drain lines so they were up to code. It really looks professional. Really appreciate the quick service as the technician Toa could have told his boss that he didn't want to do another job that late in the afternoon but he said he was going to be off for 4 days so why not do another job! Really appreciate the excellent customer service and would recommend them to anyone in the San Ramon area.

Cross reference for previous unit - although more than 20yrs old.
Great provisions of alternate solutions and factors for me to make the right decision.
Installer was very courteous and work efficiently and made sure he did not leave a mess of spill water or possibly damage my wood floors.
Great experience - I would recommend this company over the others that send numerous mailings out each year - this is the real deal.

Excellent experience! Christmas eve is not the greatest time to have a water heater stop working, but Water Heaters Only made the whole process easy and painless. Prompt and polite on the phone, they were able to send Dan to come out on xmas and look at the old water heater. We decided to upgrade to an outdoor tankless (to get some much needed space in the basement) and we couldn't be happier. Loni came out to do the install and was super professional and knowledgeable. He took time to explain the process and pros/cons of tankless so we knew what to expect. Installed it in one afternoon and even hauled away the old one. Highly recommended company!

Steve B. came out to replace my hot water heater (our hot showers started smelling like hot algae a month ago) after a flush did not help with the smell. I lucked out and got an appointment the very day I called because of a cancellation. I could not be happier! I called at 9AM, Steve B. came out at 10:30AM and I had hot water out of a brand new hot water heater at 1PM.

What a great crew! I hope I never have to call about any problems, but they have a one year warranty on their work, and the heater itself has a 6 year warranty. Hurrah! Off to take a non-smelly shower!

Kudos for quick service and installation, and having the needed parts on the truck, including a circulation pump. Also, technician Mike Cohen was great. Minus one star for having only 'Red' type M copper and not having the 'blue' better grade type L copper. If you spring a pinhole leak, it will probably be where the thin wall copper is installed. Only a couple of bucks more in materials is well worth it for a quality job. In any event, went out to get some and Mike put it in. Thanks for great service on the last working day before Christmas.

Timely service, came on a Sunday, service man was professional and seemed to know his stuff.
Hated to have to replace a water heater within 8 years (last time was installed by someone else), but once its leaking, too bad!
They also have a 6 year warranty, so less to worry about at least for a while.
