Did a great job but the price was a bit high. Replaced the tank, replaced the water and gas lines, added a pan and plumbed it to the crawl space for $1850. 40 gallon and on a Sunday.

Had our water heater die and leak water in the garage some time Friday (2/22/19) night, to be discovered Saturday morning. Contacted Water Heaters Only due to their high rating on YELP. Contact person very helpful and scheduled service between 2 PM and 6 PM on Sunday afternoon, after giving estimate range and asking pertinent questions. Kevin West arrived at our home in Sunnyvale after phoning at 2 PM to notify us of his planned arrival at 2:15 PM. He promptly assessed our water heater, gave us a written estimate at the lower price quoted on the phone, and proceeded to remove our old water heater and install the new one. He was professional, friendly, and moved forward with ease. In less than 90 minutes, the new water heater was heating water. HIGHLY recommend this company if you need replacement, installation, or repair. This company has been in business since 1968 and we certainly benefitted from their experience and expertise.

We woke up Sunday morning, March 10, with a major leak from the 22 year old water heater in our garage. We threw out quote requests on Yelp and Water Heaters Only was the first to call at around 8am! They scheduled an 11am - 3pm window. Mack called about 45 minutes before 11am and said he'd arrive around 11. He arrived on time, assessed the situation, gave a quote and I signed for the work. Within 90 minutes a new water heater was up and running. He explained the features, operation, and the work that was done. Easiest last minute install experience I've ever had. Thanks!

We live in Discovery Bay, and our old Water Heater went out over the weekend. My Wife found Water Heaters Only online, and the reviews were impressive. I called them on a Monday, and was given a window of 10:00am - 1:00pm on Tuesday. Peni B. arrived at 10:30am. Once we agreed on the best decision (replacement), I asked when would he be back to do the installation? Peni replied, ""how about now""? It took him just (2) hours, and we are now back in business.
From the initial call to their Office, to the professional installation of Peni, the experience was great. Price was fair and competitive. Our decision was based on their 50 years in business.

Such an amazing service. My hot water heater died yesterday & in less than 24 hours I have a new one. The technician, Francis, was simply awesome. He was professional, courteous, knowledgeable, helpful, and an all-around nice guy. Not only did you get the job done within an hour and a half, he left my garage cleaner than you found it and dispose of all of the waste. He even went over what happened to the old hot water heater to ensure me that I, in fact, needed a new hot water heater. Considering this was an emergency service on a Sunday, I feel this is worth every penny of the cost. I know this is considered a first world problem, but I really like hot water and not having it was such an imposition. To the owner of water heaters only, I hope you know that you have a true gem in Francis.

Ernesto Schoppe is my hero!
The plumber who came out to do the bid for my tankless is brilliant. Seriously. He sat up in my teeny attic with me, looking at the scene of the plumbing crime that flooded my house and figured out what another plumber, contractor and insurance investigator missed. Then he fixed it in less than an hour.
I'm still replacing my hot water heater because having an ancient water heater in the attic is tempting fate.
I'll follow up once my house is dry enough for him to work in in it. Meantime, I'm lighting a little candle for him.

We had an exceptional experience with Water Heaters Only and recommend them strongly. We had confidence with them from the moment we spoke to someone in the office. They came the same day (because of a cancellation), and the work was done efficiently and professionally, and the materials and workmanship were of excellent quality. The installer even explained that we didn't need to go with a larger, more expensive heater (since our size was no longer made). The work area was spotless when he left. I admit to not comparing prices, but this was a situation where I needed the work done right away, so any possible cost issues were set aside by the many positives of this company. Altogether, a well-deserved five stars.

Kevin did a tremendous job estimating and fitting us in for a replacement of our water heater. He was quick, but thorough and I would recommend Water Heaters Only, especially if you have a complex job. Kevin even identified a water pressure issue unrelated to the installation.
