Through Home Warranty, but speaking directly with Mr Ward, I scheduled an appointment late Thursday afternoon for Monday morning between 9 and 11. At 11 I get a call saying he's running behind and asks where I'm located? Of course, he's had my address since Thursday afternoon. Now he tells me I'm out of his service area and he doesn't know why it was assigned to him. I explained that I haven't had a sink since Thursday, that my dishwasher was full of dirty dishes and my counter was covered in dirty dishes. I told him I didn't want to start the process over. We agreed we would both call and ask Home Waranty to pay him something for the extra travel. I don't think he called them but I don't know that for sure. What I do know is several hours later, I called and the case manager. While I was on hold, she called him but they could not come to a reasonable agreement. I asked what is reasonable? She said he had asked for an extra $250. I am 31 miles away from his business.
