Walter is the best! He always comes through as promised and calls back promptly. The job always gets done at a great price. On a Saturday, my bathroom was flooding...called Walter left a message. I called other companies and nobody was available for a couple of hours. Walter called me back about 5 minutes later and was at the house about 15 minutes! Overall, fantastic guy! Walter is the plumber we will always call. We first called him based on reviews. He has efficiently removed and installed fixtures and repaired a really confounding leak in a shower. He just takes care of business in a timely manner. He is responsive, comfortable to be around, and charges fair and reasonable rates.

I discovered a leak in my basement today (Saturday), no idea where it was coming from. Looked at Yelp first for plumbers in Elgin, read his reviews (which were all fantastic) and called. He had just finished another job in my area and was here in minutes. Did some searching to find the pinhole leak in my copper pipe over the washing machine, had it cut, cleaned up and soldered was in and out of my house in less than 30 minutes. Despite it being Saturday, he charged an amazing low rate and went happily on his way. This guy has definitely made it to the number one spot on my service guy list. Couldn't be happier and will call anytime I need a plumber.

I had a leak under a kitchen sink and based on the reviews hear gave Walter a call. This guy is great. He's friendly and honest and fair in his pricing. He saw the problem right away and fixed it for a more than fair price. I then asked for a rough estimate to have the old galvanized pipes upgraded to copper and he walked through that and explained what it would take and a ballpark cost (as I only asked for a rough estimate). My main reason for asking was the poor water pressure. He took a look at the sinks and showers made some simple fixes and my water pressure is greatly improved. This guy is the real deal, he's here to fix a problem, not make you get a second mortgage. He will be the first one I call and recommend for any future plumbing work.

Our sewer pipe separated from our house , and our sinks were backing up . Walter came out and accessed the damages. We needed a new sewer pipe connected to the house , which involved digging up the front yard , about 6 feet down , and installing a new section of pipe. Walter came out on a Sunday with 2 other workers and dug up the section of yard by hand. He replaced 5 feet of piping , and rodded out the sewer line all the way to the street sewer. They were here half a day , completed the job , and replanted a bush that had to be removed to get to the pipe. You would never know that my front lawn was dug up , as they did an outstanding job. Walter charged half the price of other company's and did the work on a Sunday. I will use Walter for any plumbing problems in the future.

We noticed a leak under our sink, and had no idea what to do. We called a couple of plumbers that were recommended by friends, and they were either not able to come out today or were quoting us high rates for the parts and labor.

We reached out to Walter, and he was able to come the same day, and even had us buy the part needed at Home Depot, which saved us $90 from the quote from the other plumbers as they had marked up the part. Walter was here within an hour, and was fast and efficient. We have nothing but the best things to say about him and the job that was done! His hourly rate was extremely reasonable, and was a lot less than the other quoted prices.

Highly recommended for any and all plumbing issues you may have. Hopefully we won't have any more plumbing issues, but if we do, we will definitely be calling Walter.

My water heater started leaking so I was in need of a new water heater. Picked up a new water heater and gave Walter a call. He quoted me an excellent price compared to the others I called. He was on time and friendly. He completed the job without issues. Everything looks and is working great! Highly recommend.

Having read Yelp reviews for years and not joining, I felt compelled to join and write a review about Walter. He is a fantastic plumber and even better person. Walter quoted a very fair price to change our faucets to start with as he was going out of town for the 4th holiday and didn't want to loose the business since we had to wait 6 days.

While installing the kitchen faucet, Walter discovered the drain system to the sink was installed incorrectly when our new counter tops were installed years ago and was leaking and corroded. Walter fixed everything at an extremely fair price and had to get a bit creative to remove the corroded parts off the sink and pipes. Walter did not charge me for used supply lines he recycled from a previous job.

We would not hesitate to use Walter again or recommended him to our friends, family, neighbors. and co-workers. Honest and professional at a fair price, no gouging, no B.S. The repair business needs more Walters. A+

We had a problem with our bath tub running hot water. I checked Yelp and decided to try Walter Plumbing after have not so nice experience with another plumber. He came out within a hour and diagnosed that the cartridge was bad. This is where the problems arose. The type of cylinder was quite unique and Wally had to spend about an hour and a half just tracking it down. He would not give up and told me that in 23 years he has never failed an installation. Said that this would not beat him. He was right as he finally got the correct part and installed it. I can't say enough about his persistence and would recommend him to anyone.
