Unfortunately I did not have a good experience with Walter Plumbing. I bought a home and it came with a home warranty. I had a few issues that needed a plumber, and Walter Plumbing is the company contracted with that warranty company. Most recently- I have two outdoor spigots that were leaking. The plumber came- replaced the front one, and told me that my hose and the black flow attachment were the issues on the back one. He advised me to winterize right away because we were supposed to be getting weather- so I did. Fast forward to spring- I went out and bought a new hose for the back- did everything he advised and it is still leaking. It is the spigot just like I thought originally. Called Walter Plumbing- after a week and three calls- I finally got to talk to Danny. He said that it was no problem to replace that but it would be the $90/hr rate. I pointed out that I had already paid for them to come out and fix it, and he missed the issue... Danny said they would have billed me an additional hour anyways- so I still had to pay their $90 rate.
The problem with this is that it was through the warranty company originally, so they wouldn't have billed me at all. I paid the warranty company a one time fee.... But because his plumber missed this- I was the one who was going to have to pay. The customer is the one who gets screwed, not the warranty company, and definitely not the plumber- they were all paid.... But my problem still exists and Walter Plumbing wants me to pay again to come fix the problem. Now that I no longer get use the warranty company I will be looking for a local business to support who will stands by their work and who care about their customers.
