I asked up front if there was a charge for an evaluation and estimate. I was told that there would not be a charge for him to take a look at my AC unit. He stated: ""I'm not an ambulance chacer."" There would only be a charge for the repair. After he took a look, I was told that the unit could not be repaired. I needed a whole new unit and pad, which would be $6000.00. I was then charged $175.00. He mentioned that he could do it right away since he had an installation scheduled for the week but that the customer had canceled. I guess that he was trying to recoup some of that loss. I shouldn't be surprised. After all, I live here.

Our air conditioner broke down when temperature outside was 90F. We contacted master to fix the problem. He answered promptly, came on time, texted us to confirm .
But he failed to conduct a proper diagnostic of the issue. He said that our compressor is broken for good and we must face either extremely expensive repair that cost slightly less than full replacement of the conditioner. We were looking into spending a few thousand dollars. $2,000-3,000. The master charged us $75 for the diagnosis and promised to call us back with the estimate, but failed to provide even this reasonable curtesy. No follow up, no text, no phone call - absolutely nothing.
After 2 days we decided to ask for the second opinion . The technician came on time. He conducted full diagnosis and told us that we just needed to replace some electronic parts. Repair took only 20 minutes and cost: $300 including an appointment cost of $90.
Our air conditioner is up and running!

We still didn't receive any estimate from the original master. Nothing. He just disappeared on us. For good.

Summary: wrong diagnosis that suggests the lack of knowledge or intension to make some money on unnecessary repair/ replacement . He either couldn't diagnose properly or wanted to take an advantage of the consumer. Wrong and externally unprofessional .

We just moved into our very first home and panicked when our thermostat went blank. Joe arrived promptly and discovered that the mysterious emergency switch in our basement stairwell actually turns off the entire HVAC system, including the thermostat. Yikes for us, but easy for him to get the job done.

He serviced our system and gave us an estimate on a replacement for the 22-year-old AC unit. We bought our own Google Learning Nest thermostat off Amazon, and you heard it here first folks, DON'T DO THAT! It wouldn't work and I regret not letting Joe provide it himself. He reinstalled the old thermostat and now we've got a tuned up HVAC system that runs better than ever.

When the bell tolls on our ancient AC, we'll have Walsh & Son handle it all like the pros that they are. Thanks, Joe!

Spoke with Joe and scheduled a date and time for him to come out for a job. I then scheduled my morning around this appointment....He was a no show, and I have not heard from him at all, even after trying to reach out to him directly to see if he was still coming. I would not use someone like this who has no accountability, and is clearly not professional.

I am writing this review as contractors like this need to be exposed.

Joe came to our home and installed a humidifier and also connected a gas line. He was a very friendly person and a pleasure to have worked with...but...We spoke to him about coming back when the stove top delivered to help install it when we talked about the cost he charged...and it was stated it was included. We have tried contacting him multiple times and haven't gotten a response. Now our calls are sent to voicemail. Finally, when it was connected without him, we were told there is a leak in what had been installed. We wanted to give him the opportunity to fix it but no one answers or calls back.

Update: no response still. We had two plumbers come out and couldn't believe this is how it was left. There was also no shut off valve installed on the same floor which was out of code. Surprised a licensed plumber would leave anyone in such circumstances, especially with a small child in the home.

Recently moved into a new home and had some plumbing issues - worse was a leaking sink. Called Joe and was able to send him a few videos of the leak. He was able to come out that week and fix the issue. He was professional and efficient, reasonably priced as well. We will be calling him in the future, although I hope we have no more leaks.
