He was responsive and got the original job done quickly and clean. I don't usually do Yelp reviews, but a couple of things I didn't like:
1. His first reaction is to replace rather than repair.
2. He gave a labor rate, but did not explain that he would be bringing another person (x2).
3. When the job was complete I asked what I owed him. His response is that he'll email the bill later. The bill was on the high side so I view this as a passive way of dealing with presenting a bill to the customer. I prefer to know up front or see the bill as they leave.
3. He fixed an issue where the fix only lasted 3 weeks. His response to my email did not reflect good customer service. I would expect at the least something like ""I'm sorry to hear that issue is broken again. If you remember we discussed that there was a chance it would not work..."" Instead I just got - ""Unfortunately only way to resolve this is to open wall cut out part and replace with new"". Without looking at it! I expected him to say - let me come by and see if it was a faulty part or something like we discussed could happen. Besides the fact that I don't remember him saying that his fix might not work. He then explained that he was at a job in Boston and then on vacation. I waited at least 2 weeks before I emailed again. He then said he would look at his schedule over the next 2 weeks. That was 2 weeks ago. It's now been over a month without a commitment from him to even look at the issue again.
Shame on me for not asking more questions up front. But I expect transparency and didn't get it. 3 stars because I'm not a complete jerk, but thought others should hear my experience.

My wife and I just bought our new home and the gas water heater was 10 years old and needed replacement. William replied to me on the same day, asked a couple of questions, and gave me a reasonable quote. He showed up on time (he was in earlier than myself) with another friendly worker and started on it without my handholding at all (I was working from home and having a lot of meetings on that day, so that was very helpful to me). Not only was the water heater was installed and tested, William also did smaller things that absolutely earned my respect (patched chipped chimney during vent installation, leveled the ground for heater installation, and even organized a water hose getting in the way). Absolutely detail oriented and no corner cutting.

I have other projects in the new home and definitely look forward to continuing working with William and his crew.

We had a running toilet and a leak in our kitchen sink. William found the problems, got the supplies and fixed things very efficiently. His rates were very reasonable. After he did the job he took the time to properly diagnose a problem we are having with our furnace that we will get fixed at a later date. ...This took a while and he was very patient and diligent. Finally, and I defiantly can't say this about ever repair person we've hired, he was a pleasure to have in our home. We found William on yelp and I am super glad we did!
