Great experience. When I called a nice woman answered the phone and scheduled an appointment right away. Mike came right on time and was very friendly. Did a great job at a reasonable price. Will definitely use Wallingford Plumbing and Heating for all my future needs. Highly recommend!
We've called on Mike for over 10 years and have never been disappointed. He helped us countless times over the last few years during the rehab of our current home and we trust him explicitly. Wholeheartedly recommend Wallingford Plumbing!
Unprofessional and unresponsive. Called for an estimate for drain work on a bathroom remodel. Was called back in a timely manner, Mike the plumber came out quickly and provided a very detailed estimated based on what we discussed. After deciding to use Wallingford Plumbing and Heating, they ignored my calls. I was able to text the woman who answers the phone and was told after two calls in one week to schedule the job, that Mike would be calling me that evening to schedule. That call never came. I tried once more (3 strikes you're out) with the same result, nothing. If they had not wanted the job (???), I would have been fine with that. To string me along and waste my time, I am trying to get a project done, is inexcusable.
Although I didn't call him about my water heater, he went up to my water heater and put his hands on it causing movement. I yelled at him not to touch it. After he left, it started leaking out of all of the connections all over the place and cost me a fortune. Not sure why a plumber would go up to somebody's water heater and put his hands on it to break it. Obviously, every good plumber knows enough not to do such a thing, therefore, I feel it was done to take advantage of me because it was very expensive. Do yourself a favor and get a reputable company. Additionally, what I called him for, only part of the job was done, the very simple part, since he was lazy even though it only took a few minutes but I was charged for the full hour. I wouldn't dare have him back after all it ended up costing me. Beware.
I needed valve replacements for my toilets. Mike arrived, looked at the job, pulled his parts and got the job done very efficiently.
Good quality work and he cleaned up after himself.
I will not hesitate to use Mike in the future.
Wallingford Plumbing was recommended to me by a neighbor. Mike installed a new garbage disposal (reasonable - bought Insinkerator through him), but he also troubleshot and fixed (for reasonable fee + part) running toilet that was making a weird sound (not like running water). I particularly appreciated having a person on the other end of the phone when I called the number, not just an answering machine. Called Wednesday, work was completed first thing Thursday morning.
Am now updating this review: Water continued to run a week later and called again. $183 later and am now seeing that new part did not do the trick. It is now 9 months later, toilet still running. Have shut off the water to toilet b/c after 2 calls and 2 parts, the problem not corrected.

Both times he has thorough, reasonably priced, but most importantly took the time to explain things to us so that we'd be able to troubleshoot - and even do minor repairs - in the future. I would highly recommend Mike and Wallingford Plumbing to anyone!!!
Like the previous poster, I called and scheduled an appointment for 4 days later, then waited over 4 hours for a call or someone to show up. Nothing. When I called the number, someone answered the phone with a different business name. I don't have time for this.
If you have a minor leak or problem that can wait a week or more for someone to actually show up then Wallingford Plumbing and Heating will work for you, maybe. But do not expect a call back for a few days, or the plumber to show up on time or even the day expected, with no call. I recently waited a week for a repair and was told they are busy or they will call me back, etc....they do not return calls for days and gave me the runaround so I had to go elsewhere for good after wasting 7+ days of trying to setup an appointment for a small job. It is not the first time also with this company I had this issue and although I try to give my business to a small family owned company, the customer service here is horrendous and they are even worse with reliability.
Elizabeth S.I had emailed Mike the owner of Wallingford Plumbing and Heating and he had not yet responded to that email. I had sent the email 5 days ago asking for a ruff estimate of how much it would ruffly cost to put in a walk in shower, a jacuzzi, and to remodel the basement bathroom. I truly think it is not very good customer service to not respond to an email within 2 days of when the email was sent. I truly would not use this service since there is apparently very poor communication and customer support with the owner.
