Today had plumber out; Walker Tradesman from Abilene. Came on time and were personable and it seems they did a good job. Changed two faucets, repaired leak in pipe, repaired upstairs commode. Worked for 2.5 hours; $655.00. The job itself was ok, but the charge for the service performed was over the top.

Clearly did not want to help us during an emergency situation. Did not have a clue how to unstop a toilet. Said the toilet was bad. Toilet was replaced and sane problem. Then said to jackhammer the floor. Do not call

Came out same day of calling for both of my toilets running continuously. With in minuets I was quoted a price of $220 to fix the toilets and he came back from purchasing parts with only two 3" flappers in his hand and I said "those sure are expensive", and he replied "no $20 each, it's the labor that costs." Thank god he bought the wrong brand and I paid him $65 for coming out because he lied about the price costing $20 a quick search Lowe's had them for $6, and after I got the right brand it took me 5 min to fix both toilets so he was probably lying about labor cost as well.

Flournoy plumbing performed a whole house water line replacement. The response and work was excellent but they still have not returned to cover all the holes they had to cut in the walls. it has been 10 days and I have called them 3 times but no response to finish the job. I made the mistake of paying them before the job was completed. Use caution when dealing with them!

I had hired another contractor in Abilene and upon observing his work product saw that it was not up to code, or even safe. Found Flournoy and hired them. They not only fixed all of the other guys crap work, but upgraded things nicely. Punctual, efficient, and rock solid. My wife and I have a great deal of experience over the last 38 years remodeling houses for rentals. My wife is very knowledgeable and particular about many things, and Steve and his guys are responsive and cooperative when changes are made. If you are looking for a plumber who knows his stuff, you have found one in Flournoy!

They did show up at the scheduled appointment time, however, it took them over an hour to write an estimate. For a water leak under house, pier and beam, repair small leak on water heater line and to replace all valves in house. Once I accepted estimate, just for the leak under house and to repair the water heater, they had to leave to get parts. Came back, it took them less than 10 under the house to realize they didn't have all necessary parts to fix leak under house. So they had to leave again, for another hour. They came back and 5 minutes later the leak under the house was fixed. Then they decided the pipes under the sink were leaking and needed to be replaced. Funny how they had never leaked previously but what am I to do, I was at their mercy. Of course that upped the price. AND, the didn't have p-traps, so they left for another hour to go get p-traps. When they finally finished and left, we discovered they hadn't relit the pilot light on the water heater. So, yes they had to return. So, $925.00 later, everything does seem to be working but the price was astronomical and the fact that they had no parts on their truck was ridiculous. I would never recommend them.

I called Flourney plumbing on a Thursday afternoon. After speaking to whom I am guessing led to believe was one of the head plumbers of the company, told me it was the end of the day, He had no one at the time who could fix my problem but, assured me the following day which was Friday they would schedule me right in. I said' it's my kitchen sink can't get it unclogged. I told him as long as it would be before 5:00pm that Friday . He said, not a problem at all' the morning secretary will give you a call before 10:00am to let you know when they will be there. I waited, and waited Friday for that call that never came. By 1:00 I called them some lady answered the phone so fast I repeated the company. She advised me that she Knew nothing about it and proceeded to tell me The earliest we can get someone to you is Monday maybe Tuesday,? No thank you and I will never ever call them again.

Terrible.

I will never again use Flournoy Plumbing. I encourage you to do the same. Here is a quick review of the story. In 2014, Flournoy Plumbing came to repair a leak in our water main. The plumbers were unprofessional (didn't bring key to backhoe & kept the time clock running). Flournoy did credit that hour on the final bill. When a similar leak appeared in 2015, we chose to use another company to diagnose the problem. Unprompted, the new plumber found our 2015 leak was at the exact site of Flournoy's Repair. It had failed due to poor soldering and to the huge rocks and concrete pushed into the repair hole on top of the pipe.

The owner of Flournoy (Steve Walker) did not return my phone call. I called again and Steve did not offer to do anything, seeming completely unconcerned about my leak (or his company's work). Steve claimed the 2014 repair was a "temporary fix," did not offer to repair it, nor make things right, nor reimburse us for their failed work. I asked if he seriously told customers his repairs were "temporary" and how he can stay in business with this work and customer service. He cursed me out and hung up on me. Later that day, I went to the business and showed him the faulty pipe repair. He agreed it was a poor job. Said they only warrantee for 90 days. I asked to be repaid for the $570 temporary fix and the $1000 repair. He again cursed at me in his office. Claimed the plumber no longer works for them. The next day, he sent me an email saying they would do nothing further to reimburse or repair. I waited a month and tried sending an email and no one responded.

So, if you want an owner to not stand behind their work, refuse to call you, cuss you out, identify their work as a temporary fix, then by all means go with Steve Walker and Flounoy Plumbing.

Their website says "Satisfaction Guaranteed: we work for you" & "Excellent Customer Service: we want to keep you," but I encourage you not to believe it. Good luck.

DO NOT CALL THEM!! They are the most outrageous expensive pluming in town. They tell you the service call is 65 that's the cheapest in town but then they throw at you once there here that there services are 145 an hour. They came out and for something I could have rented at Home Depot for 65 bucks and they charged me 210 for 5 min of work. There ridiculous. DO NOT CALL THEM UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET TAKEN FOR A FOOL!
