Excellent, fast , trustworthy and reliable service! After dealing with at least 5 other contractors over more than a year who were unresponsive, unreliable or just plain flakey, I was very skeptical.
Mike showed up the day we called spent time to walk through our MAJOR issue. We discussed the potential repair options and I had a quote that day.
Shortly after, when WE were ready to move forward with the major excavation and replacement work it was scheduled within days, not weeks or months at our convenience. Wow! so much different than all the other guys we dealt with for the last year.
Mike was ultra responsive and the work was completed within two days to the best possible solution for the circumstances.
They changed our tainted perspective of plumbing and excavation contractors and restored our faith in integrity and service.
We would HIGHLY recommend Walker Plumbing to anyone.

These people came to my house 4 time because my air conditioning unit wasn't working, they replaced my unit which costed me a lot of money. My unit in my attic was dripping substances out the bottom. The guy lied and say ""oh I replaced the tray underneath the machine"". The second time, I needed Freon in my unit, they said it will cost me 140 dollars to replace something that didn't needed to be replaced. So i would not recommend this service.

We have used Walker Plumbing for Plumbing over the last several years and we're very satisfied. We came back from vacation and one AC wasn't working. We called St George AC who installed it but the number went to Black Diamond AC. That was weird so I went on YELP and saw that Walker Plumbing also did HVAC! That was the best thing for us! In less than an hour they were at our house, fixed our loose wire and set us right up. Now their magnet is on my white board for plumbing and HVAC. Way to go Walker!!! Many thanks

When you ask your local, one-man-shop plumber: ""Which company should I contact for this big job?"" you pay attention to their answer! When we needed our entire house re-plumbed because it had been originally plumbed with the now-banned polybutylene pipes, we called Walker Plumbing for an estimate. John Carton came out and spent a lot of time with us, discussing the problem and the possible fixes. He was thorough and incredibly knowledgeable, and able to explain things to us very clearly. We ended up re-plumbing the entire house with John and his crew, and we were very very pleased with the experience. John's crew of 4-5 men were on site every day until the job was done, with John himself checking in daily. Besides the cleanliness, friendliness, and courteousness of the crew, we were especially impressed with the teamwork mentality of the crew run by John. To illustrate this, I was nearby when John called the group to gather round to brainstorm a solution to a problem presented by our weirdly constructed house. After some back and forth, the youngest and least experienced member of the crew made a suggestion. After a moment of silence, John said ""That's it! That's what we will do!"". He beamed at the young man, who was clearly very pleased to have made this contribution, and clearly felt appreciated for it. We need more young people going into the trades, and I felt like I was seeing a good example of how to run a crew in the best possible way to ensure that the next generation learns well and has pride in their very crucial work. Our experience with Walker Plumbing, and with John and his crew particularly, was as good as it possibly could have been

BUYER BEWARE - I believe my legally blind 93-year old mom was taken advantage of when Walker replaced a 40-gallon water heater with a premium Rheem 50-gallon tank and failed to install it to code.

She lived alone on a fixed income in a 962 s.f. home and didn't shower daily or run washing machine or dishwasher daily. Walker charged $2,160 and gave a $200 discount. Home Depot's most expensive Rheem 50-gallon tank sells for $989.

I find it hard to believe the following claims from Walker's website were applied to my mom's situation.

· ""Expert workmanship and personalized solutions tailored to your needs & budget""
· ""Honest, trustworthy technicians""
· ""No upselling - our technicians are transparent about the services you need and won't try to upsell you on those you don't""

Her house sold recently and the home inspector discovered the water heater was not installed to code. I asked his opinion about what she was charged and he thought it was rather high and that a 50-gallon tank was far too large for a 93-year-old woman living alone.

Ironically, my water heater just went out and my husband and I purchased a Rheem 40-gallon unit for $763 (including tax) at Home Depot, plus we paid $350 to a plumber to install it which included replacing the expansion tank and hauling the old unit away. The plumber's opinion about my mom's situation was that Walker took advantage of her, charged too much and that she didn't need a 50-gallon tank.

I gave Walker Plumbing an opportunity to refund a portion of their charge, along with reimbursing the cost to bring the unit up to code, but that offer was declined in full. Their website claim of guaranteeing satisfaction also seems to just be empty words.

They did a great job installing my new water system. John, Dan and Matthew were very professional, polite and friendly. They were so quiet that we forgot at times that they were here! They told me what they needed to do, and when they were finished showed me and explained everything to me.

Don't believe anything they tell you. Guy (Adam) sold me a home improvement job on once I signed he took off for Vegas for three days and left me to do the general contractor role. Lousy carpentry work that went with the sink install. The office will tell you what you want to hear but not necessarily the deliverable. Sold me a Greensky loan I was told I could use anywhere for home improvement but it turns out I can only use with Walker. Useless piece of garbage unless you want to overpay at Walker.

We had the misfortune of having a pipe burst on a Sunday evening. We were outside and had no idea that our house was filling with water. It was a mess and we spent the evening sucking up water and saving furnishings. We didn't call a plumber that night because we knew after hours would add to the cost. The next morning we called our insurance company who said we could call any plumber. Because we happened to have a coupon for $50 off, we called Walker. The plumber showed up on time that afternoon and explained the pipe failure and said he could fix it in 15-20 minutes barring any unforeseen problems. He said it would be $474. I showed him my coupon so he lowered it to $424. He had the problem resolved in 20 minutes as promised. After he left, my husband and I commented that plumbers make more money than doctors! A few hours later my brothers came from out of town to see if they could help. They both commented that we had been ""robbed"" when they saw the little repair and learned that the plumber was in and out in 20 minutes. They suggested I make some phone calls to see what the going hourly rate was in St. George. I did. I called 4 different companies and was quoted from $89 to $95 hourly rate. When I told them what the parts included, they quoted anywhere from $30 to $50. A couple of them told me that they weren't surprised when I told them what we had been charged by Walker Plumbing. I called to talk to Mr. Walker the next day. He was too busy to talk to me but did call my husband back two days later. At first he insisted that there must be more to the story. After he looked at the bill, he admitted that we had been over-charged and offered to give us a $200 credit toward any problem in the future. He refused to give us a refund. We told him we would never trust his company in the future. Unless you don't mind being gouged, call a different plumber.

My air conditioner froze up on a hot Friday afternoon. I called Walker Heating and Air and the tech said he could be out on Monday. The tech said I had a leak in my evaporator that was causing loss of coolant. He changed capacitors, which were not entirely bad, added freon and charged over 750 dolllars, when it should have been half that amount. He gave me a quote to replace the evaporator and it was $1000 more than another company I should have called in the first place. If you do not care about paying much more than the other contractors, then call them. I wanted someone to come quickly and not have to wait a week, but I should have waited, because it cost me $$$$$.
