We had our HVAC system replaced and all the technicians couldn't have been more knowledgeable and accommodating. There was no standing around other than a quick lunch and morning break. They worked constantly and professionally. After the work was all done they took plenty of time to go over all the components and demonstrated how to change the filter and how to use the new thermostat.

Got a pipe capped and a seal fixed in a toilet charged $300 and 3 weeks later the pipe busted, they over tightened it witch caused a crack and wanted $89 just to come out to look at their mistake. Call someone else this company isn't worth the hassle, time, or money.

We can't comment on their work because they didn't make it to our door. We set up an appointment to repair a water leak. Their earliest appointment was for 8 days out, so we got on the schedule. One hour before they were supposed to arrive we received a call that they were too busy and couldn't come out. We were told they MIGHT be able to """"squeeze us in"""" the following day, but there was no guarantee because they had a full schedule that day as well. They then said the next appointment would be the following week! When asked why WE were being bumped and not given any priority for the following day there was no explanation given. We decided to do business with another company, as we couldn't trust anyone who would treat customer with such total disregard.

Very quick response gave me 3 options for repair and then fixed the problem. Not pushy just expert knowledge.

Our Air Conditioner quit. I called Waldrop but they could not come until perhaps the next day. I called another outfit and got an appointment for late that afternoon. Yea! Then the Waldrop truck pulled up. OK, I and my bed-bound wife needed cooling. Do you remember when you would take a car in for brake pads and the mechanic would find a leak in the brake line and a worn rotor, oh yeah and the shocks need replacement! The technician quickly found the problem, a burnt relay, and had to replace the whole board it was on. *Let me give you some of my bono fides: Forty years in motors and controls. Three years in instrumentation. Three years with electrical contractors.* Had I been physically able, I would have soldered on an """"ice cube relay"""". $15 in parts and half an hour labor to repair the board with parts I would have had on the truck. The tech had to drive across town to get a new board, (roughly $350). While he had, me he tried pretty hard to convince me that I needed new capacitors for both motors, one was priced $260+, the other $280+ plus labor. I declined. I have replaced these type capacitors before. Never paid more than $10-$25 each, often less, at Grainger, Lowes, etc. So, I got a $15 problem fixed for $350, plus labor, total about $450. I see that the last good review they got was back in 2018

If I could give Waldrop negative stars, I would. We called Waldrop because our heat stopped working downstairs. A technician came out and said we had cracks in the heat exchangers of BOTH of our units. She also said we were in danger of carbon monoxide poisoning and shut off our heat. She sent a salesman out in the afternoon, and he quoted us a bill of $18,000+ to replace our units with a """"basic"""" system. An """"efficient"""" system would put us in the ballpark of $24,000+. He also warned us that we should buy 3 or 4 additional carbon monoxide detectors (we already have 2), and he insinuated that we were in grave danger if we ran our heat until they replaced our units. In the meantime, we called a second company whose technician said we had no cracks. He charged us a service charge and left. He said we should use our heat and sleep calmly and safely that night. A third company came out yesterday. The technician affirmed the second company's opinion. He even took our units apart and investigated to make sure there weren't any cracks. The """"cracks"""" that the Waldrop technician noted were actually creases from manufacturing. He didn't want to charge a service fee at all. He said if anything, we might need a new flame sensor. Both the second and third companies told us that Waldrop uses scare tactics to sell people expensive units. I'm appalled and dismayed that these people are taking advantage of others. They scared us, manipulated us, and tried to use our concern for our family's safety in order to make money. If you are currently using Waldrop or considering them, I beg you to get a second opinion. Don't fall prey to their scam.

Our heat went out on Christmas Day. Had our logs on when we went to sleep. Decided to turn them off because of safety issues. Called Waldrop heating and air at about 1:00am. Keep in mind we have a newborn baby. They said a 24hr technician would call us. Technician called 30 min later. The guy asked what was the problem. I said our heat went out. He then sat in silence for about 2 min waiting for me to respond. He got an attitude and said, """"Well you called us at 1:00am so what can I do for you."""" I said, """"You could help us with our heat not working."""" He then proceeded to get an attitude by expressing that it was a burden that we called him. The website said 24hr emergency service. He then said he would call back in the morning. We did not answer because the tech acted was a douche bag. So we called someone else and they were happy to help us. WOULD DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND WALDROP HEATING AND AIR TO ANYONE. DO NOT CALL THEM. THEY ARE HORRIBLE. Well at least the people we talked to were. I'm sure not everyone is like that at at Waldrop.

We had problems with our gas igniter, they pressured sold use into getting a new AC unit because our other one was old, but it worked fine. The system they sold us is a piece of crap compared to what we had in our house before, the gas burner has less than half the output as our previous system and the blower is half as powerful, I'm sure will have to use window ac units to cool our house in the summer because the air flow is so low compared to what we had before.
