Very quick response gave me 3 options for repair and then fixed the problem. Not pushy just expert knowledge.

Our Air Conditioner quit. I called Waldrop but they could not come until perhaps the next day. I called another outfit and got an appointment for late that afternoon. Yea! Then the Waldrop truck pulled up. OK, I and my bed-bound wife needed cooling. Do you remember when you would take a car in for brake pads and the mechanic would find a leak in the brake line and a worn rotor, oh yeah and the shocks need replacement! The technician quickly found the problem, a burnt relay, and had to replace the whole board it was on. *Let me give you some of my bono fides: Forty years in motors and controls. Three years in instrumentation. Three years with electrical contractors.* Had I been physically able, I would have soldered on an """"ice cube relay"""". $15 in parts and half an hour labor to repair the board with parts I would have had on the truck. The tech had to drive across town to get a new board, (roughly $350). While he had, me he tried pretty hard to convince me that I needed new capacitors for both motors, one was priced $260+, the other $280+ plus labor. I declined. I have replaced these type capacitors before. Never paid more than $10-$25 each, often less, at Grainger, Lowes, etc. So, I got a $15 problem fixed for $350, plus labor, total about $450. I see that the last good review they got was back in 2018

Better get everything in writing charged me 89.00 service to tell me my a/c unit need to be replaced sent out a sales rep to quote us a price and he told us they will not charge us the service if we went with them and even told us they will give my son a referral fee for recommend them to us because he had them installed his new unit we have never heard anything back from them I call the office and told the lady I need to talked to Ken the guy that cam out to quote us to call me and told her what we were told . Got charged for the 1st service any way and my son never got his referral form them As far as I know the guys that installed did a great job but their guy that quoted the job is a lie teller Don't believe him at all for this I would NOT RECOMEND THEM AT ALL

If I could give Waldrop negative stars, I would. We called Waldrop because our heat stopped working downstairs. A technician came out and said we had cracks in the heat exchangers of BOTH of our units. She also said we were in danger of carbon monoxide poisoning and shut off our heat. She sent a salesman out in the afternoon, and he quoted us a bill of $18,000+ to replace our units with a """"basic"""" system. An """"efficient"""" system would put us in the ballpark of $24,000+. He also warned us that we should buy 3 or 4 additional carbon monoxide detectors (we already have 2), and he insinuated that we were in grave danger if we ran our heat until they replaced our units. In the meantime, we called a second company whose technician said we had no cracks. He charged us a service charge and left. He said we should use our heat and sleep calmly and safely that night. A third company came out yesterday. The technician affirmed the second company's opinion. He even took our units apart and investigated to make sure there weren't any cracks. The """"cracks"""" that the Waldrop technician noted were actually creases from manufacturing. He didn't want to charge a service fee at all. He said if anything, we might need a new flame sensor. Both the second and third companies told us that Waldrop uses scare tactics to sell people expensive units. I'm appalled and dismayed that these people are taking advantage of others. They scared us, manipulated us, and tried to use our concern for our family's safety in order to make money. If you are currently using Waldrop or considering them, I beg you to get a second opinion. Don't fall prey to their scam.

Our heat went out on Christmas Day. Had our logs on when we went to sleep. Decided to turn them off because of safety issues. Called Waldrop heating and air at about 1:00am. Keep in mind we have a newborn baby. They said a 24hr technician would call us. Technician called 30 min later. The guy asked what was the problem. I said our heat went out. He then sat in silence for about 2 min waiting for me to respond. He got an attitude and said, """"Well you called us at 1:00am so what can I do for you."""" I said, """"You could help us with our heat not working."""" He then proceeded to get an attitude by expressing that it was a burden that we called him. The website said 24hr emergency service. He then said he would call back in the morning. We did not answer because the tech acted was a douche bag. So we called someone else and they were happy to help us. WOULD DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND WALDROP HEATING AND AIR TO ANYONE. DO NOT CALL THEM. THEY ARE HORRIBLE. Well at least the people we talked to were. I'm sure not everyone is like that at at Waldrop.

We had problems with our gas igniter, they pressured sold use into getting a new AC unit because our other one was old, but it worked fine. The system they sold us is a piece of crap compared to what we had in our house before, the gas burner has less than half the output as our previous system and the blower is half as powerful, I'm sure will have to use window ac units to cool our house in the summer because the air flow is so low compared to what we had before.

Today is Nov. 19 and it's 7:44 PM. I have been waiting for Waldron all day to do the maintenance on the Over $9000 unit I purchased from them. I have had multiple calls telling me they were coming. At 4:00 PM the call I had said they would call me in 30 minutes to tell me they would be here. I called at 6:00 and was told they were busy and had a lot of customers with no heat. They were the ones that set Nov. 19 for my maintenance which I pay a good bit for. At 6:21 PM I had another call telling me they were going to do me a favor and come in the morning between 7:00 and 10:00. It is their policy to not set a time because they can't live up to the time therefore since I've waited all day I was getting this special favor. The problem is I have a Dr. apt. At 10:00. I said are you telling me no one is going to show up now, I have waited all day. She said if I wanted to stay up till midnight someone would come. Hey gang, it's 7:52 now, what's your bet? Very poor way to treat a customer, don't think I will renew and who knows if or when this pre paid maintenance will take place. Very poor business dealings with a good customer so beware. Linda

Waldrop grossly overcharged me for two easy jobs that took all of twenty minutes to fix. The first job consisted of a shower handle that just needed to be taken apart and put back together again. I was charged $327.00 for this. The second was my garbage disposal was clogged and didn't work. It took him about 5 minutes to fix it. I was charged $170.00. Waldrop Plumbing you took advantage of a senior citizen and that was just wrong. I hope you don't screw all of your customers like this.

They have been out here 4 times since May 2019. Last Thursday ac blower went out. Called them. A guy came out late Friday afternoon and verified the blower motor was shot on a 6 year old unit. $700+ to fix and that's WITH the warranty. Evidently the new motor didn't get ordered until Monday. Here it is a week later on Wednesday afternoon and it still has not been fixed. I would think that the folks that bought a service contract with them would get some kind of priority, but I guess not. Once the contract is up for renewal, we're done with them.

The service is pathetic . I dont know what happened to customer service. It was awful from the start I wanted several of my 15 year old units replaced and man they were a big let down. The phone operator or representative was awful and you can tell how phoney she was. You cant give me a time, you can't give me a day well you can't give me service then . I'll take my 4 brand new unit buying self elsewhere thank you. So rude, but the company is losing alot of customers.
