We had recently moved into the area (April 2020), and needed failing Swamp Cooler replaced with A/C. Asked Wagner Mech. for an estimate. Estimator agreed with our request for A/C, took measurements, etc......were then sent an estimate. However, estimate included AC AND Heating unit.....when questioned, Wagner Mech. stated that this was the only unit we could purchase, andthere was NOT a-stand-alone (AC Unit offered). This, we were nevertold, until the estimate was received. The smoke/mirror game begin, we were never given a straight answer as to why an AC was not available without the Heating. They ordered the combined unit without our authorization, delivered it for installation......at that point we gave up trying to straighten the matter out. Essentially we agreed, under duress, to have the unit installed. We were pleased with the work done by the crew, but ended up paying $3,000 over what we wanted for a simple AC unit. Read your estimates carefully, beware of Ad-ons...it appears that no one will answer your questions, return your calls, or makes decisions. We were in the midst of the COVID crisis, the stress of moving was almost unbearable. Further major plumbing were opted to select ANOTHER well known busisness, and received excellent prices and service. I will not ever recommend Wagner Mechanical.

I had Wagner AC & Heating install a smart thermostat. Tech was friendly however stated builders used cheap wiring on home. Ac worked with thermostat. A month went by now we need heat. Thermostat not communicating with heater no fan. I called back and asked for a tech to come out. They said club members have priority and they could come the next week. I took the appt. even though they set me aside for a ""club member"". A service they sell. Same tech came back and stated remember you have cheap wiring insufficient for thermostat. They charged me a fee for having my own thermostat. He then stated it wont work and house needed rewiring and i needed the Honeywell home T 9000 which is the therm they sell. I had the honeywell T 9. Then stated i needed some type of board at the furnace. He was trying to sell me products i did not need. Then left me w/o an operable heating. Stated it was all he can do and charged me another $85 for call. I am extremely disappointed with this company and will continue to write reviews on google twitter and BBB for not leaving me with heat offering a reg therm just a very expensive one. And not being thorough checking his work the first visit. He stated "" hind sight 20/20"" and was very flippant and did not care. Poor customer service and very poor service all around

I own a duplex that Ive needed serviced often. I prefer to hire local SB owners but sometimes the work isn't great. Wagner cost more initially but they knew exactly what was wrong by just asking 2 questions and taking a look. Plumbers before struggled to work on my duplex (built in the 50s, it has older pipes). I didn't waste any more money having different people try to problem solve or do services I didn't need. It was quick and professional. Definitely cost more than previous plumbers but at least Wagner got to the root of the problem, finally.

Never again. Please do not call them for anything. The worst business practice I ever experienced. They came and looked at my air conditioner, and they will be back in 3 weeks to install. Paid almost a $6000 deposit. Three weeks later, they came back and stated that they do not have the expertise to install. They are too incompetent to figure it out. Why make us wait three weeks? Could you not tell me that you can't do this install? I found someone else to do the job. Never use this company for anything.

We had Wagner replace a HVAC combo unit on our flat roof. The old unit used a type of Freon that is no longer in production due to environmental concerns I believe. We obtained a couple of competitive quotes and Wagner was very competitive. We LOVE our new unit, it's sooo cool so fast, it's amazing! We ran into a couple small snags as to be expected in a relatively large job and the Wagner team handled them all perfectly. I think the trait that most led me to leaving this review though is the people. Everyone we interacted with was great - they always listened to us and made sure everything was perfect in our eyes! I highly recommend this team!

I feel like I was overcharged to reinstall two toilets and one sink. Bill was $1800. Plumber was about an hour late then left for another hour to get parts. Plumber was nice and professional but I feel taken advantage of.

Exception customer service! I was notified of time technician would be at my home and sent a text with technicians name and photo. Technician, Steven J., explained repair in detail and provided the cost before starting the repair. Steven very professional and completed repair timely. He also provided the cost for a future service I inquired about. Very impressed with timely communication!! I will be recommending Wagner to family and friends!

Had them replace shower faucets and they also replaced other parts in our master bath shower. Bill was over 400 dollars and today (9 months later) the hot water refused to shut off. Their reply ""parts and labor only guaranteed for 30 days"" and it will take 3 days to get there! Ridiculous!!! Check other reviews seems we are not the only victims.

Scheduled morning appointment but learned from the dispatcher at 9:40 a.m. that no one could be there until after 3 pm. When I asked why I had been bumped so late the dispatcher informed me they use an ""open schedule"" and ""emergencies"" pushed my job back. When I pressed her about making a morning appointment but not keeping it, the dispatcher blamed the ""new"" person who made the appointment, then hung up on me. When the plumber did arrive, he didn't have parts and had to leave to get them, even though I had described the work when making the app't. My bill to fix three under-sink valves was $490. And then, when I inspected the work, the plumber had ""fixed"" a valve that wasn't broken and left a broken one unrepaired. When I reported the problem, I had to leave a message and no one ever returned my call. Good reviews must be from other locations (not Albuquerque). Headquarters seem to be out of state.

Took them up on an inspection special. Ended up getting an education on my very old central AC and am confident it will last at least a few years longer than I thought. Really want to highlight the great service I received from Victor Valles. Great guy. Can't recommend enough.
