We had a supply line valve replaced and a toilet repaired, including changing a seat that had been screwed on too tight to be removed. The quality of the basic plumbing appears to be good, but the plumber (who was nice) had to return to fix a problem with the toilet.

But the real complaint I have with them is their pricing, which is exorbitant. They charged us over $250 for the plumber to buy some basic toilet parts that cost about $30. They charged over $80 for a full day's ""rental"" of a piece of equipment that's routinely carried on their trucks and was used for less than an hour. I have never in years of dealing with plumbers for personal and professional work been charged anything like those prices. And, to boot, they charge for time it takes to create an invoice even though it's all automated.

All in, if their pricing hadn't been designed to deceive I would gladly use WL Gary again, but there are definitely plumbers in the area who don't specialize in ripping off their customers.

Our house lost the heat for few days and we finally got in touch with Angela, the service coordinator, she was very friendly, and no pain for 7:3am service appointment.
Next morning 7:20, Andy already parked and be ready for the 7:30am service. Andy was very polite, knowledgeable and professional.
We are very please with them and will recommend to everyone. Wish everyone have a warm and healthy holiday!

My laundry overflow pump failed and caused a water leak into the lobby of our building below. While they were prompt on the emergency call out they charged $1300+ for 20 minutes in the unit. They then charged OT rates for the plumber to sit in his truck for 4 hours waiting for a call back from a parts company. No attempts to manage OT. They were not transparent on pricing, rates, OT charges, number of techs to be sent or cost of parts. Their staff also were out not working and charged hours - caught them walking back from God knows where on my dime. Also OT hours charges are not made clear in advance. Finally was yelled at my the tech. Get estimates in advance.

I have never used WL Gary Company, but I was rear-ended by one of their managers in a company vehicle recently. It has been 3 weeks since the collision and he has refused to leave a statement with my insurance company and has yet to leave one with his own. If this is the level of professionalism displayed by a member of their senior management team, I cringe at the thought of trusting anyone at the company with my business.

Never again. The guy who did the service work was very nice, but the heat broke down 2 weeks later and when we called a new company out they said NOTHING had been done the first go around (except charge us more than $1000). On top of that they tried to overcharge us by at least an hours work (said it was 3 hours but really 2). Will not call them again.

The gentleman who came out did the work quickly, and identified more issues than what I could see. He resolved the issue with expertize that illustrated he knew what he was doing. Out of 3 other contractors, this company was the first one to fully identify all the issues with my air conditioning.

W L Gary has highly trained plumbers who do good work. For this reason they are popular with office buildings and building engineers. However, they are very expensive and they have tried to overcharge me/my employer.

An inexperienced colleague of mine once showed them a leaky faucet and a sink with some rust on it that had leaked in the past before the water had been turned off a year prior. The plumber from W L Gary immediately said the one faucet should be replaced and the other sink, faucet and garbage disposal should be replace at a cost of $1,700. I took a look and fixed it for about $10. The one leaky faucet just needed some plumber's grease around the cartridge. The other sink was stainless steel and cleaned up with some soap and water. The garbage disposal was fine. The faucet just needed a Delta repair kit that replaced the working parts.

If I'm going to recommend a plumber for my business I want to know that they will give sound advice to everyone and not just try to rip people off.
