The previous owner did renovations that looked great but when we decided we wanted a more efficient, taller, oblong toilet for my son we were trying to install it and got stuck. Toilet installation should be easy and I was trying to teach my son. We even tried buying a couple of new tools and finally decided to call a plumber. Johnny came out. He had all the right tools. Showed my son what was wrong with the previous install. Removed that. Cleaned all the tile around the area thoroughly. Did a great job with the install and teaching my son. When I needed to replace my other toilet and kitchen faucet (which is in a tiny corner of the cabinet), I just called and they sent Johnny. He has all the right tools. It wasn't easy but he did it. You don't have to wait forever with WHW & Sons and they are competitively priced. We tried a different company to do a deep sink that I didn't have the tools for and I felt like the plumber didn't seem to know what he was doing. He wasn't young, just not good. I'm sticking with WHW from now on.

Outstanding job by Terry and his crew. I have a 30 yr old house and my main water line from the street needed replacement (polybutylene failure) and because I have a permanent wood foundation (PWF), it required a conservative approach and a lot of caution around the foundation. It also required major excavation near the foundation because it was too risky to try to pull the line through the PVC sleeve from inside the house, which is the normal approach. Terry was closely involved in all aspects of the job, and was especially attentive in managing the backhoe as the operator approached the waterline near the foundation. Once they found and cut the water line, they pulled the replacement line from the ditch to the street, and then pushed the last ten feet through the foundation without disturbing the PVC sleeve or compromising the waterproofing in the foundation. The rest of the job was pretty standard and done well.

The crew was always very professional, very polite, and did everything they could to minimize the mess due to the excavation. I'll definitely go back to Winegar Plumbing for any future plumbing needs.

Terry is excellent, and I would recommend him to anyone. He did a fully-masked walkthrough with me prior to giving a quote and answered several questions I had. His team was efficient and scheduled very quickly after receiving the quote, which made the whole process simple. I also ended up having to call him to clear a drain in an emergency several weeks after his team did the initial work, and he was able to get a team right out to my home to fix it. Terry himself is extremely responsive via text and phone call and is always feeling to hear feedback and make new suggestions if you aren't satisfied with the original work done.

We had a leaky pipe issue and called WH Winegar. They charge ~80 to come out, and then a flat fee for additional time every quarter hour. Pretty standard. They gave me a two hour window, called when he was 20 minutes away, and showed up right on time at the earlier time, something I barely expect anymore.

Because plumbers charge by the quarter hour and not just for the job, it's pretty clutch that your plumber doesn't go on personal life monologues like our old one did. There was NO small talk. It was beautiful. The plumber came in, figured out where the issue was coming from (not where we thought), fixed it, and was ready to go. Hopefully I won't need their services any time soon, but definitely calling them if something comes up.

I wish I could give them no star!! The guy charges us $440.00 for a $80.00 plumbing job!!! Most of the charges was for him waiting for our building to turn water back on!! We didn't know that the building was going to shut the water down! The main issue is that he don't told us that he was going to charge us for him waiting!! If he had letting us know ahead of time I would have been ok!! Wouldn't use this plumbing service again!!

We smelled natural gas in our home and called BG&E. The BG&E inspector found two very small gas leaks in the supply line feeding our furnace & hot water heater, turned off the gas and left. It was up to me to find a plumber so I called a few local plumbers and left messages. Then I tried Winegar Plumbing where a nice young lady answered my phone call and made an appointment for the next morning. How refreshing and reassuring!
The next day, the owner, Terry, arrived after calling us first. How polite! I expected him to simply inspect the job, write an estimate, and let us wait for a 'technician' to show up.
Wrong!
Terry is an honest-to-goodness plumber and he got right to it. He found the leaks, made a parts run, returned to install the new parts, and was finished in little more than an hour. The best thing? The bill was about half of what I expected.
I'd definitely recommend this plumbing company. They're polite, organized, friendly, prompt, very competent, highly professional and hard working. I highly recommend Winegar Plumbing because I'm confident they're committed to performing great work for a decent price. Give them a try!
