When I bought my house I understood the risks of buying a home with old equipment but crossed my fingers I'd get a few more years out of them. Both my a/c and furnace were 25 years old but seemed to be working well when I moved in last year. My a/c was having trouble keeping up when the weather got really hot and I didn't want to put more money in it since it's so old... I ended up deciding to replace both pieces of equipment so I didn't have to worry about the furnace dying this winter. They were able to install both units in a single day, and I was blown away by the difference in just the look of the newer stuff versus the old! The salesman was very friendly and the installers were very considerate of my home, when they left you wouldn't have guessed they were there all day with how clean everything was too. My house is of course a lot more comfortable and I'm happy I won't have to worry anymore about that older equipment.

my landlord send this company to check on our heater, they ABSOLUTELY don't know what they are doing, they were using their phone to see how to fix the issue through google, and at the end of the day their conclusion was the heat pump is working on the roof so you should be getting heat, I was like but I am not that's why we requesting you to come check it, they were like we have 35 + years of experiance and everything is working well . I told them I am living here and I am not getting heat, they just left. not recommended at all.

Wow! Huge job on our old house. Rick came out and we went over everything we wanted done and he explained the costs clearly upfront. Dan, Tim and Jim replaced the very old 1978 furnace after all of the very large, (and also very old) ductwork was removed. They even suggested and added registers to help even out the temps in our main living areas. They also added central A/C and replaced our aging hot water tank and did it all in four days, complete with all of the peripheral requirements. The crew was very knowledgeable, organized and respectful of our house and property. We are so happy we chose W.F. Hann & Sons for this project and would highly recommend them.

I called for a service due to a 30 psi valve not sealing. I did not receive a quote until the valve and expansion tank were removed. I was charged 400 for changing a 20 dollar valve and a 30 dollar tank. Total time on job 1 hour. I was ripped off. I asked for a ball park quote 3 times before the system was taken apart. I didn't get one until after. I will never call this company again. I am going to fill out a negative BBB complaint. I am a senior citizen and a retired veteran. The replacement of the tank involved removing 1 nut and the replacement of the valve required the removal of 2 nuts.

I was told after my $650 charge to clean my unit it would be fixed.
3 weeks later my unit wasn't fixed. Then I was told it will cost another $450 to find out what was wrong with the unit. After several phone calls to upper management, I got them to come out and find the problem without the $450 charge.
I was told it will cost another $2,700 to fix the unit.
I end up finding a company on craigs list who installed a brand new unit for $1,000.
Saved me over $5,000 for a brand new unit from WF Hahn.
Not very happy with the experience I went through.

There aren't many worse feelings than hearing the screech of the mechanical breakdown of your furnace in the cold days of winter. This past weekend I was reminded of that as I was stirred from my sleep to that dreadful noise. At 5am I began to investigate and discovered the worst case scenario. The good news, I located the number to Hann and called the after hours line. I am
not exaggerating when I say by 10am, the problem was diagnosed and repaired for a fair price. Thank you Frank. I will definitely be recommending this company.

This company is the best! Professional efficient service. Friendly and knowledgeable personnel. They are honest and fair with their pricing. I learned that they have been in business for over 100 years so their reputation means a lot! Would definitely recommend.

Buyer beware: I was charged an $89 ""service call"" fee when no service was performed. I called this company for HVAC and plumbing issues, which I still have. After they visited, I expected a summary and/or recommendation in writing, especially since I could not be at the house when they came. Only after a great deal of back & forth with an accounting person, did they finally tell me that they couldn't figure out the problems at my house. I explained that $89 seems way too high for that, but they refused to drop or reduce the charges.
The 5 different people I dealt with at this company were all incredibly unprofessional and slippery. I would name them but they are very stingy with giving out names (another red flag).
I am shocked that there aren't many negative reviews of this company. Maybe they used to have some integrity, but have gone downhill.

BUYER BEWARE!!

Nicely installed, BUT...

Grossly over sized equipment (66%). On cooling side this is causing dehumidification problems that will lead to mold if not addressed. This should not happen, particularly with high end multi-stage equipment.

Missed opportunity to sell Hybrid, or even straight Air Source Heat Pump (GreenSpeed are fantastic).

If they had gone with Air Source on this top of the line equipment, reheat feature would take care of dehumidification needs. BENEFITS: MUCH more comfortable home and dramatically reduced risk of mold/bad indoor air quality.

Our A/C unit went out. They were able to get a service person out in two days. He was very prompt and professional. They gave us a 2 hour window and called that he would arrive within an hour. He wore booties in the house to avoid tracking dirt and in, checked all the units, and quickly figured out the issues (air filters needed and freon refill). After fixing it, he checked that the temperature dropped appropriately. The repair was a little more that I expected, but I don't know the range of price for this kind of work. Regardless, service was outstanding. I would use them again the next time we have an HVAC issue.
