TOOK MY MONEY AND RAN WITHOUT FINISHING THE JOB
I hired him for an inspection even after reading the bad reviews on here because of my realtor's recommendation. Well he did the inspection and promised a written report the following day so I paid him up front. Still nothing weeks later and he stopped responding to multiple attempts to communicate. Ideally you should just go with a different contractor, why risk it? But if you do decide to hire Scott DO NOT TRUST HIM WITH UP FRONT PAYMENT.

People in the comments below be hatin'. If you are looking to get work done by a good construction company, you can't expect them to drop everything for YOU. They're busy because they're good. Plan ahead and be patient for a company like this. His work is solid, bar none. It's done right. Like any good contractor, they're hard to get.

Met with Scott to discuss our project. He said he was excited to start and talked a big game but then never sent an estimate. After a while I followed up with texts and emails and he never even responded.

Now I realize this is a hot market and a approx 50K job may be small potatoes, but a quick response to let me know he wasn't interested in the job would have been nice. If it was me I'd be hesitant about working with someone that lacks professionalism and common courtesy like that.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!! Scott comes off as a nice guy, but has zero professionalism and is a flake. Took 2 weeks to get the estimates, took another 2 weeks to schedule starting work, then 3 no calls no shows to start the work. He didn't even bother to get in touch with me after the last date they were supposed to start work. This was a $15000 job that he blew off, I'm glad that they didn't get one dollar of my money. The whole thing could have been a big mess. Basically wasted a month of my time. It's an absolute joke of a company.

Scott is very reliable, responsible and did great work at a reasonable price. Best of all, the clean-up afterwards was IMMACULATE! I would recommend him to anyone! Reading the other reviews, it is hard for me to belive we are talking about the same person!

We thought they were the folks to call, being local. The contractor seemed enthusiastic about the work. He said he'd send us an estimate in a few days, but never did. We called him back a few days after we expected it, we understand things come up, and he said he'd send it soon. After a few weeks of not hearing from him we gave up. Clearly he wasn't interested in our business and should have told us that straight up.

I had set up an appointment with the owner Scott Vogler today and I was driving from Los Gatos to Rio Del Mar to get an estimate on water damage to my codo. We had set up a time and do you think he showed up??? No, very disappointing when he spent 15 minutes on the phone the day before telling me how dependable and responsible his company was and how they had been in business for decades. He didn't even show up nor did he bother to call and explain why he was not meeting with me. I highly recommend NOT using this construction company because they are NOT dependable nor responsible!!!!!!!

I would never use Vogler Builders. They charged me for work that was not completed. They never provided me with an itemized invoice to support their billings, they missed there promise completion date by 3 months, and they did not return some of my personal items that they accidently took (basically stolen). The work they did was okay but the constant hassle of dealing with the owner (he never returned any phone calls). They overbilled my $7,245 and di dnot complete all the work.
